Strong material. Not thin or made poorly but very well made and of great quality. It's exactly what I needed! It was perfect. I didn't want to put the tree in a huge box that would take so much room and/or later fall apart. This bag is perfect to strap tightly around and make it skinny, as much as you can, for a better fit in storage. It's not made of cheap material, it's actually well made, great, strong material. I love the handles, which helped me to drag bag to under stairwell. Perfect for us tiny women. Highly recommend. 5Excellent bag - strong and roomy. Well made, good design, rich color and heavy "strong" fabric. I just took down my new artificial tree and put this storage bag to it's test. My tree is 7'6" slim, but dense, with a 34" (my measurement) bottom diameter. It fit into the bag with room to spare. I think this bag could comfortably hold a larger/fuller tree depending on the length of the longest segment of the tree. My bottom segment is 52" (branches folded) but fit inside this 48" bag with little bending of the branch tips.The zipper opens around three sides of the top of the bag making it easy to position the tree segments inside without feeling as though you have to force anything. The bag is flexible and thus doesn't have the defined shape in the pictures. I was prepared to use parts of the original heavy cardboard tree box as support but the two adjustable straps across the body allowed me to pull the bag "snug" around the tree, making it sturdy enough to move comfortably without fear of crushing the tree inside. Those straps also serve as handles and are preferable to using the end handles which would tend to allow the bag to sag in the middle of its length and "crunch" the tree. Well constructed, tough material, strong large zipper, sewn well, and a deep hunter green option. Placed my large full 9'tree inside and there was room left over for a few extras. When zipped, insects cannot get inside like they do in a box in the garage. That is the main reason for getting this bag. The carrying handles are very strong and well sewn. I don't see this bag tearing unless one takes a knife to it. I see this bag lasting for many years.My only con is the lack of a rigid bottom. Because of the large and very heavy tree and the bag being so flexible, it was difficult to keep it in place on the dolly when transporting it to the garage. I wound up purchasing a piece of plywood, carefully rounding the edges and sanding them smooth then placing it inside the base of the bag. That helps keep the bag together when transporting. Wheels on this bag would be a plus. There was a mild chemical scent when the bag was first unwrapped but placing it outdoors for two nights dissipated all the smell. The packaging was minimal and it recycled easily. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants a high quality bug proof bag that will last for many years. 4Perfect storage bag for my 7.5 foot Christmas tree! I purchased this item because I needed something better to store my Christmas tree. Before I was storing it in a huge plastic Christmas tree storage bag with no support to it. Before that I was putting it back in the original box, which was difficult trying to fit it back inside. As soon as I opened this up and got a first look at it, I was impressed with the durable look of the bag itself. It also has a piece that unfolds and velcros to the bottom of the bag that makes it sturdy. I have a 7.5 foot tree that separates into 4 sections. Once I got them placed inside the bag and zipped up, the two straps on the outside can be cinched up to make it a little more compact. The two strong handles at the top and the 3 rolling wheels at the bottom makes it so easy to move around and put away in storage. On top of all that, my item was delivered the day after I ordered it instead of the standard Prime 2 days for deliver. Extremely happy with my purchase!!! 5Durable materials! Plenty of space in the 60" length for our 9' full tree After five Christmases, we were just not going to be able to wrestle our 9' tree into it's original box any longer. I was hoping to find a replacement box, maybe plastic. After researching the available replacement options it turns out there aren't any boxes the size of Christmas tree boxes. Rubbermaid - wanna get on this? Anyway, it looked like bags were the only replacement option after the original cardboard box has become more tape than box. I figured all Christmas tree bags would be nice heavy canvas duffle bags, since it seems obvious that bulky metal tree poles would require it. Instead, all of the Christmas tree bags were rated average-to-poor, and customers complained that they were made out of thin nylon, with puny zippers and dress-shirt weight stitching. I was feeling desperate because our tree was literally pouring out of it's broken box in the middle of the living room. What was I going to do with it?Then I found the Covermates Christmas Tree Storage Bag in the 60x24x24 size. It is DURABLE, HEAVY CANVAS (fused on the inside with a liner coating that makes it even more durable), with STRONG STITCHING and LARGE STRONG ZIPPERS. AND it has these two great nylon belt cinches that will help squeeze your tree into a more-managable width. The corners of the bag are sturdy enough that when the bag is cinched up with the belts, the shape is rectangle again (though not as unwieldingly rectangle as an actual box would be). It has two strong handles on the ends to carry it. Our 9' very full tree breaks down into 4 parts with the largest pole being 50" long. I had tied the sections up with some ribbon to make them skinnier (this was when I was originally trying to get it into the cardboard box) but they were still very full pieces. All the pieces fit EASILY into the Covermates bag. This would definitely accommodate an even larger tree, or also a few wreathes or garlands or whatever. At first one of the metal tree poles was jutting hard into the side of the canvas and I worried that it might rub through (not tear or break through, but maybe wear through if the bag got rubbed while dragging it or rubbed against in the garage) - so I just moved it further towards the center of the bag (there was plenty of room to make fitting adjustments) and it was no longer a concern.I highly recommend this bag and would definitely buy it again. After seeing what else is out there, this one was a clear winner.EDITED TO ADD (2013): Worked perfectly and is still in like-new condition after it's second Christmas. I like the quality of this bag so much I invested in two of the ornament boxes from the same company - and they are just as wonderful. Still 100% recommend!2015 UPDATE: This bag is still like new. We've had no unraveling of threads, and no tearing of corners or stress points where the straps are tightened. Best Christmas tree container ever! 5Very good quality bag Very well made bag, worth the money. It holds my large 7-1/2 tree as well as my 4-1/2 tree. Even though it s on wheels, it is still difficult to move around by 1 person. I built a frame out of 3/4 pvc conduit to fit inside and I can now move it around easily by myself. I see no way you could poke a tree through this unless you really tried, or dragged it along the floor - in which case buy a new one every year if you care that little!I packed a very full, strong, new 9ft GE/Costco lit tree into this with lots of space - meaning it is not bursting against the side and threatening to poke through. This is the second item I bought from CoverMates. This thing is great as was the wrapping paper case of the same general appearance. The bag of course does not hold any general shape when empty as is mentioned in other reviews. I plan to construct a PVC internal support structure as one other purchaser described. I went for the big boy. My tree is 7.5 feet and very full. I very easily fits in with some room to spare. I probably could have gotten away with the size smaller version, but I did not want to overly compress the branches. This affords the room I am looking for. It have very stout straps on either end. I expect to hang this thing from end hooks high on my garage wall like a big hammock. I am very pleased and would certainly order another product from this company. 5Awesome durable storage for my 12 foot tree! Very well made and constructed nylon/canvas material and although I was a bit unsure if it would fit my twelve foot Christmas tree (said it fits nine to eleven foot trees), it surprisingly worked great! Just had to cinch it a bit using the nylon buckle straps before I could get it to fully zip, but overall I'm very pleased with the product. My only gripe would be that it needs a bit more reinforcement for the overall structure of the bag, but it looks like people have constructed their own or you can purchase one from the company (for a greater cost I'm sure) if you really want something structured. Anyways, a great product for the price and hopefully it'll provide years of use for my tree while keeping the dust and insects, etc. out! 5Good Looking Sturdy Christmas Tree Storage Bag This Christmas tree storage bag is very sturdy and attractive. It was a relief to get the cardboard box out of our garage. No more worries in regard to scrubbing the garage floor. This bag has belts, wheels and pull handles. Our garage looks much better. We also purchased the matching wreath hold which holds two large wreaths. Both bags are quite roomy and additional items can be added. I would not want to get this bag without wheels. They make things much easier especially for seniors, etc. 5
