Great Tools, Poor Storage Case At first the kit is shiny, new and gorgeous. Tools are perfect, no problem with them. My problem is the case. It's is mostly made of cardboard, so if stored in a humid environment, like a shed or garage during hummind summer days, IT WILL GROW MOLD. I used it a few times and it was fine. But after a very hummind, rainy 2 week period, opened the case to find lots of fuzzy mold.My suggestion is to store in the house away from moisture or pull out the black tool storage liners (2), pull the cardboard backing off and put in a new case.Other than the tool storage case issue, the tools are perfection. 4All-in-one for Grilling We use all the pieces and it is perfect for all our grilling needs. The quality is great and the hard storage case is a great way to keep everything together and pull out each time we grill. It would be a great gift for someone with a new grill or to have for yourself to have a complete grilling set. 5Nice looking brush, but functionality suffers from design I usually try to wait 3-6 months before posting reviews to get a good feeling for the product. In this case I can already tell it's not so great. No angle on the head means a less ergononic and slightly uncomfortable brushing angle. The bristles themselves are fairly thin and not agressive enough to clean very well. The flat part that attaches the handle to the brush block is too thin and flexes under pressure. Mine even bent from what I consider normal use. Coming from using wooden handles brushes in the past which are pretty solid I'm not sure this will hold up for too long. It does look very nice though, I love the aesthetics of the brush which match well with my stainless grill. 2Don t bother, keep lookin, there are betters This is not what I expected from this famous brand. It doesn t come up to the quality standards on product the manufacture.It it a hassle to keep the pieces in place, and the utensils look like unfinished material. I bought another low profile brand and they look and feel 20 times betterThe only positive thing is they have more pieces than others. 214 Piece Kit is Fancy looking JUNK. Perhaps my standards are too high. I wanted a grill kit in a case to keep it clean in our RV storage compartment. Well, it is in a case. It looks good, and most of it is functional. HOWEVER, the tongs are useless. The metal is very flimsy. When you go to pick up a steak, the part you are holding meets in the middle without applying any gripping force to the meat. I have bent them to try to compensate, but they are just too weak. It is hard to hold onto a hot dog! anything heavier is just not going to happen. Since the tongs are the main item I would use in the kit, this is a complete fail. Since it is all a little short, my old grill tongs wont fit in the case either.By the way, it looks like there is more than one product in the same bin. I have the 14 peice kit. The tongs look the same as the 20 piece set. The ones shown in the 10 piece set with standing rack are different. This may account for the wide variation in reviews. The 14 piece kit is Junk. 1Disappointing reveal When I opened the box, most of the utensils wee bouncing around freely inside. Upon further insepection, most of the velcro strips meant to hold the utensils to the box had actually come loose. The velcro was still around the tools, but they were loose in the box. Aside from that, the tongs are flimsy as mentioned in some other reviews, so I'll be using another pair of tongs I bought separately.Overall I'm disappointed with not just the quality of the packaging and box, but the utensils as well. 2Garbage The only decent item is the spatula. The grill brush wears out very quickly. The tongs cannot grip anything because they are so poorly designed they dont close all the way. You can get a better set for $10-15 at a local store. 1Most are good, tongs are bad Most of the tools are nice. The case is nice. I bought this for my hubby thinking it would be a complete set of quality tools, but the tongs are crap. The tongs are flimsy and when you clamp them together, they bend outwards. If you buy this, be prepared to need another set of tongs. 3Meh, decent spatula for the price of the kit. Not very satisfied with this purchase. I would not buy again or even give it as a gift. First time using the tongs and I could not pick up a 6oz chicken breast filet. The tongs are very flimsy and immediately bend when you try to close them to pick up whatever it is you are using it to pick up. The only tools in this grill kit that I found useful were the corn cob holders and the basting brush. The spatula is alright with me but im not a fan of the serration on the side of it, but the bottle opener was a great idea just weird placement. 2Damaged and Poor Quality - Why did Amazon Choose This? I was really sad when this arrived, as soon as I opened it I regretted my purchase.I know this isn't an expensive set, however for 50 USD$ I had thought I would get a product in new condition. There are chemical stains/flaws to the outside surface that cannot be removed. Dents and warps throughout the body of the case. The fabric is torn and unevenly cut in sections, while other spots don't meet edges or have wrinkles and bubbles.Most of the defects are in the case, however, I noticed even the tongs had gaps in the handle from poor assembly. In addition, the butter utensil's silicon heads are warped and misshapen. This product while nice in concept has major issues with its quality control. The shipping package was in good condition which means the manufacturer shipped it with known defects and damage.What a hassle now to return the item. :( I thought this would be a good purchase since it says Amazon's Choice. However, I would recommend that Amazon sample a larger quantity of the stuff from the manufacturer before endorsing a product. 1
