Easy for this uncreative mama to make adorable lunches! Making a nutritious and enjoyable lunch is my way of showing love to my child even when we can't be together in the middle of the day. I have no artistic ability (you've seen those hilarious pictures of Pinterest fails? Yeah, I'm the type that can't succeed at even simple artistic directions) but I really want to make the cute lunches that I see on the internet.This little cutter makes it possible for even me to look like a supermom. It takes only about an extra minute, and it's really easy to make these cute animal sandwiches. I've also punched out shapes on slices of cheese from the deli. Very cute.So far, I have used whole grain bread and made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and ham and cheese sandwiches. Both types worked great.My favorite animal is the bear because the holes are big enough to show up well and be extra-easy to punch out. The other ones are good too, but they have smaller pieces to deal with than the bear does.Two tips:1) If you position the cutter toward the far side of the bread, you'll have a nice chunk of sandwich left over after cutting out the animal, so you can include that nice piece also in the lunch instead of wasting the edges (or eating them yourself).2) The pig's nose has two pieces (nostrils) that have to be stuck on without being connected to the rest of the bread, so they don't stay in place as well. Instead, if you remove the nostrils and leave the main part of the snout on the sandwich (punched out but put back in--it stays in place better since it's in contact with the rest of the bread) it still looks like a pig and doesn't fall apart as easily. 5Sandwiches in cute shapes taste better! My seven-year-old picky eater announced she was sick of the same lunches. She said she would eat her sandwiches if they were cut into fun shapes. (We saw this on a website when we searched for bag lunch ideas.) For sandwiches, the cutters work best when the sandwich is firm (turkey sandwich as compared to PB&J). The stamping/embossing works on bread that is somewhat soft. Dry whole grain bread won't work, but if the multi-grain bread is soft it can be stamped. Firm sandwiches won't smush when pushing down the stamp, but a PB&J sandwich will ooze out the edges. The plastic is hard, but not unbreakable. One cutter fell off the counter and part of the rim broke off. Thankfully this has no impact on the cutting portion. Food washes off easily, and the poking tool works well for getting food out of the holes in the animal faces.Oh, my daughter loves her animal-shaped sandwiches even though the sandwiches are the exact same types as before. 4yay animal sandwiches for bento! These are stinking adorable! . Very cute for bento box lunches.Sometimes I get obsessive about making a particular cute lunch, but other days, I just want to throw a healthy lunch together and make it interesting enough to hold my picky boyfriends interest. This set is perfect for both kinds of lunches! I have a crazy supply of materials for making fun lunches. This the one purchase I would recommend to ANYONE. It's perfect for the person wanting to learn to make cute lunches, the super busy that just wants a quick solution to fun lunches and the experienced bento enthusiast looking for something new. For the range of possibilities with this set, the price is amazing too, especially since it is also dishwasher safe. You really can't go wrong with this one. 5Super cute and easy to use This product is really cute and versatile! I got this set and have been making little sandwiches for my preschooler and we love it. It's really easy to use and the little poking stick really helps to easily get the small things out of the holes without any problems at all. We've made some adorable little sandwiches and the kids at school are totally jealous. I haven't used it yet on cookies or as an imprint on toast but i think it would be pretty cute. Even if I never use it that way it was still totally worth the money. Cute! 5I can't wait to use these for my nieces and nephews sandwiches! They are actually bigger than I expected which was a nice surprise. They are sturdy and well made and it comes with everything it says it does. You are getting exactly what the picture shows you. When I opened the package there was a little note inside. It explains how to use the product and even has their website and email if you have any questions or concerns. The seller really cares about making sure everything is right with their product and I LOVE it. It's a huge relief to know that the seller is willing to work with you if something is wrong! (Luckily everything came undamaged so I won't have to worry about emailing anyone!) They are simple to use, and perfect for little kids who don't like the crust on bread. It can make a simple ham/cheese sandwich look fun to eat! I made a Nutella sandwich for a snack with the little bear face and it came out just as pictured! <3 5Adorable Perfection! I can't get over the cuteness! They're super easy to use, too. No complaints whatsoever...I'm a happy customer with a happy kid! 5Adorable and work even on real bread It took me some doing to figure out how to use this with real bread (not the squishy diabetes-in-a-bag stuff that some people call bread).The answer? Microwave it for about 20 seconds. I use brown, 10-grain bread, and after 20 seconds of softening, it takes the imprint perfectly and looks super adorable! The cutter cuts very well and as long as you use downward force and a slight twist, on a hard surface, it cuts very cleanly.It makes more food waste than I'm comfortable with, so the shape cutouts are occasional treats. My kids don't mind bread crusts, so I usually just use the imprint side on a whole slice of bread instead. I love how they're double-sided, so that we have the option! 5So much fun! I use these to make my daughter's sandwiches ... So much fun! I use these to make my daughter's sandwiches into fun shapes (hoping that will tempt her to eat more). It's very easy to cut out the face, even on very soft white bread. Just press down (use a good amount of pressure), and you'll see the imprint on the bread. Use the little pick to cut out the eyes, mouth, etc. So far, I've cut out pieces in cheese (use thicker harder cheese, don't use Kraft singles because it's too soft and will just melt), ham (again, thicker cuts tend to work better), and bread.Would recommend! 5Amazing !! kids love it My daughter and her classmates loved this as a snack (pb and jelly) ... Super fun way to make their lunch special ! Easy to use 5
