As a reference though it barely holds a polymer grip hand gun like a glock or a ruger p95. It still holds them but its a very snug fit. 5I ordered these partially because they had pretty decent reviewsI purchased this product as a birthday gift for my 15 year old nephew when he asked for a way to hang his airsoft gun on the wall in his room. He was specific that it should hang horizontally as well. So, I ordered these partially because they had pretty decent reviews, but mostly because I just kind of thought they LOOKED like something a 15-year-old might think was a pretty bad-a$$ answer to simple "even if it's just two hooks" kind of birthday request, right? Right. HOWEVER, while they did work for his purpose, and he did think they were awesome, the springloaded design made the hooks scratch his weapon when he removed it from the hooks to use it. Surprisingly, they're not rubber coated or lined at all on the inside. While they DO work rather securely because of the spring-loaded design, they'd be best used to hold a decorative - maybe antique (although personally, I would still super glue some felt scraps to the inside) - weapon that wouldn't need to be removed often. The story has a happy ending though - I ordered a different product that works wonderfully and I retain "cool aunt" status. 4
