A great kit for beginnersMy husband thought this kit was so much fun. While he said the gin wasnt the best he has ever had, and admits to needing a little more practice with the recipes, it was just fun to do. The kit comes with everything we needed to make our own gin. My husband even has bragged to his friend about how neat it was and becoming " famous" for the best alcohol in town. I wish the ingredient packets had a little more in them but over all well thought out, and easy to do.5Superb gin making kitI've tried other gin kits with premeasured botanicals but this kit offers you the chance to flavor the gin the way you want it by adding your own amount of spice or you can just use their recipe chart. Either way the gin will be delicious. Definitely buying this again.5Perfect Gift!I got this because I had bought a lip balm kit and this came up as a suggestion. I have a friend who loves all the DIY stuff and her birthday is coming so I decided to get her this. I Opened it to make it sure it's all there and OMG it comes with everything you will need. From the instructions to the seeds you need to use! I read the instructions thoroughly and it gives you every step that you need to make the kit. I took out the bottles, and they are pretty thick, and they even have corks. The best part of it all is the flask! I am so excited to give this to my friend next week! I will invite myself to make gin with her and put some updated pics!5Recipes and ingredientsI received an infusion kit for Christmas, but noticed that for the same price I could have this one (which can clearly be used for general infusion as well as making gin). This kit is a much better value because: 1) the instruction card is awesome, 2) comes with 6 botanicals for gin. The instruction card has 4 general recipes with a "flavor wheel" for experimentation, which I really appreciate. (the infusion kit came with a general book - nothing about how to use the elements of the kit specifically). The set of botanicals lets you make 2 of the 4 general recipes. I made the "Basic & Traditional" recipe the day after I got it and it was ready two days later. I was quite pleased with the flavor! Seemed actually less harsh than many gins I've had. My only difficulty was straining my batch into the other bottle with the provided funnel and filter. The filter gets clogged quickly and the funnel does not hold much, so it needs to be emptied several times while doing the pour. However, even without the funnel this is an awesome value. (The bonus flask is cool too!)5Enjoyable from start to finishI was super excited to try this kit after receiving top notch goodies from these guys before. I was not disappointed! The kit was beautifully put together, instructions were super simple, and the entire process was enjoyable. I can't wait to explore more variations! Success!5Easy to use make-your-own spirit kitI have been interested in crafting my own spirits for several years, but it always seemed so difficult. This gin making kit simplifies the process. It includes everything you need except the vodka. The instructions are super easy to follow! I love the fact that the instructions give you different flavor options (piney, floral, traditional, or bold) and guides you to the spices and seasonings to get the flavor you want. This also makes a very nice gift as it is beautifully presented.5What!?!?This is a $47 box of juniper berries and an instruction card.You pour the juniper berries into the jar, then fill up the jar with vodka (obviously not included in this box). The whole process took about 3.4 seconds. FOR $47!!!!There isn t even enough juniper berries to make this twice. There are 5 other tiny bags of things to add to the gin also.I should have read what was included closer. Save your money and go buy a jar of juniper berries and a bottle of vodka which will still come out to way cheaper than this gin box.1Really Fun kit but needs tweaked to make it AWESOME!!. I absolutely loved the kit and its contents. I do have something though I would like to point out, and that s the amount of juniper berries in the kit. All of the recipes included focus on using a fair amount of these vs the other flavor enhancers, which I understand is the principle flavor of gin. The kit in my opinion should include either an additional pack of them or a larger original pack so that way you end up using most of the other enhancers as you use the last of the juniper berries which is efficiency of the kit. As it is now, I will either A. Have to buy more berries or B. Have a lot of waste and discard the remaining enhancers (waste = inefficiency of design). Just my 2 cents 4
