Very good brush to clean the vents of breast pump accessoriesWhen it comes to feeding need of our little one, I dont trust any other brand that I trust Dr. Brown's. We received a couple of these brush as samples with the accessory for the breast pump. They are so efficient in cleaning the narrow tubes of the suction cup used with the breast pump. One brush would last 2-3 months only probably because of f the soft bristles. But a brush at dollar apiece is a steal. Must have to clean small opening in any kind narrow vent.
5Best baby bottle and pump brushes. Works great for water bottle too. These are very delicate, but are the only things I could find that for into the valves if my breast pump to keep it clean. (Ameda Purely Yours). We also use them to clean the nipples of our baby bottles (nuk) and the mouth pieces of our camel back Eddy bottles. You would be surprised at what hand washing and dishwasher miss on the water bottle (ick). They would be great for any small item that needs a little extra scrumptiousor has hard to reach parts.
5A MUST have! These are our go to brushes to clean not only the air thingie inside Dr. Browns bottles but we also use them to rally get into the nipples and clean them out now and again. A must have to keep these bottles super clean and sterile. Thankful they aren t expensive so changing them out doesn t break the bank, as we are foster parents so we are constantly changing them out. Dr. Browns supporters BIG TIME!
5Great for cleaning the fridge water dispenserDiscovered when the girlfriend's daughter was pregnant and needed them for cleaning bottle nipples. I took one look and saw that they'd be great for cleaning the water dispenser on the fridge. If you have a water dispenser on your fridge, you may notice that sometimes the water squirts out a little crooked. Wipe off the water dispenser and you'll find some black "stuff" there. That's easy to reach, but the stuff inside the nozzle is hard to reach. These little brushes go right in and help clean all the black stuff out of the dispenser. I know it's an odd use for these brushes, but they work perfectly for the job. FYI
5Must with Dr Brown's bottles Once we finalized on Dr Brown's feeding bottle after trying few others - we went with all of the product-line of Dr Brown (Bottle brush, smaller cleaning brush, bottle warmer, Sterilizer, Formula mixer etc.). And we haven't had any issues as such with any of the Dr Brown's product.Coming to this brush, these are must in case you are using Dr Brown bottles. Cleans the inside of the vent pretty nicely. They are a bit delicate though and would need replacement after about 3-4 weeks of usage. In case you decide to use Dr Brown's bottle - please bear in mind that they are difficult to clean (due to additional vent part - every wash/feed - almost 10 per day i.e. 300 in month and so on). However, if it helps even 1% in reducing the gas/colic for my baby - I would go with it every time. But I'll make sure I'll get Dr Brown brushes to help with bottle cleaning.I'd easily recommend this to family and friends.
4A MUST Purchase if You Have Dr Brown's Bottles and Use Breast MilkThese brushes are a necessity if you are using the Dr Brown's bottles for pumped breast milk. I have found that formula washes away easily with soap and water but breast milk does not. I think it's because there is a fair amount of fat in the breast milk and it has a tendency to leave a 'fatty film' on everything inside the bottle. In order to get the long blue funnel tubes clean you really need this brush. I have also found as a pumping momma that these brushes work great for cleaning out my Medela pumping supplies as well as for cleaning the inside lid of sippy cups which can be notorious for trapping milk and juice. I have been bottle feeding for the last 3 years straight and have a 3rd child on the way but have only gone through 2 packs of these. They are cheap and last for quite some time if you keep them dry in between use (don't leave them sitting on your counter or they will rust).
5Clean DrinkingThese are perfect when you're trying to clean the inside of straws the come with water bottles. I have two water bottles with straws built in them. They were getting really dirty after a while and I wanted a little more than the dishwasher to clean them. These brushes have been perfect. They are easy to get in and out of the straw and do a nice job.
5they are not like the older ones we have that came with the ...We have used Dr. Brown's bottles since our oldest was born almost 7 (wow!) years ago. These brushes do the job. BUT, they are not like the older ones we have that came with the bottles. The older ones have bristles all around the brush, and are much fuller. These have what seems to be 3 columns of bristles, and seem to have less bristles overall - they aren't as robust. As I said, they work. But, I much prefer the older ones.
3Great for bottles and as you move on to cups and straws tooThese are good quality little scrubbers and are essential to keeping bottle nipples clean. Even after the bottles are a thing of the past, these little guys are still used daily to clean sippy cup tops and reusable straws. The packaging is top notch as each brush is individually wrapped. The bristles on each scrubber have just the right amount of texture and firmness to actually clean. High quality and definitely recommended.
5Dr. Brown's cleaning brushes workFYI, these are the longer cleaning brushes that can work for the 4oz and 8oz bottles. Apparently these brushes do come in two different sizes, short and long. Personally I like the longer brushes as I find myself struggling to clean the light-blue inserts with the short brush. As for longevity, they do wear out and need to be replaced, especially when the metal rods begin to bend and collect milk particles on them. For the few bucks that they cost, they are essential to keeping your bottles clean and extending the life of them.
