    5 star product! This is such an excellent and efficient product. You don t see the locks, and your kids still can t get in the cabinets! We had used some cabinet locks before and they were very unsightly , i felt every time someone came over i needed to explain what they were because they were so obvious. We just moved and was on Amazon looking for a cheaper option (of course) and ran across these for $5 and i figured worst case I ve lost $5. And i love these!!! Semi easy to install, i used a normal screw driver, and they look great and are completely unnoticeable. And i didn t even use all 12! 5The price is good but the quality and design work against it. I was very disappointed at how flimsy this product is and how when installing them how exact the measurements have to be. If not adjusted properly the mechanism either hits the cabinet shell or go too far below the latch to work. And if you have self closing cabinets then you may find that unless the mechanism that closes the cabinet is strong enough it won't push the arm over the latch. because they are so flimsy they are easily bent and thus you have to adjust them again. Be aware that they can not be disengaged once installed. So if you are a grandparent and want to use these when the grandkids come over but when they are gone you would like to disengage then then your out of luck. The price is good but the quality and design work against it. There are much better options available. 120 MO. OLD BROKE 1ST DAY HORRIBLE QUALITY. Very cheaply made- plastic is very flimsy and the hook/latch part just snaps right off when any pressure is exerted onto it. My 20 month old broke these the first day we installed them simply by opening the drawer- which is the ONE THING these safety latches are supposed to prevent. What a failure. What if my son had chosen the knife drawer and not the ziplock drawer? Very disappointed & I believe a refund is in order. 1Obviously they are timely to install, but there is ... Obviously they are timely to install, but there is no way around it. They serve the purpose I wanted and are holding up well with use. There is a little gap that kids cans get their hands in still, but I have pushed everything to the back of the drawers or put sharp things in high up drawers. There is not enough gap that kids can get in cabinets. Once you're used to them being there, it becomes habit to open by pushing them down first. 5Great value. You need to know how to use ... Great value. You need to know how to use a power drill and drill bit for a pilot hole to install, as well as proficiency in the measure twice, drill once principle. Bottom line: These will be a chore to install and/or install porperly if you are not handy with tools. Also, they are cheap and I suspect toddlers will easily break them. I got them to keep the cat out of the cupboards, but would get something better/stronger for the kiddos. For cats I rate them a solid 5 (and I reordered them), but for kids and ease of install a 2 at best. So, I gave them a 3 as they re advertised as kid safety locks, but were perfect for my cat application. 3these work will but a couple things to keep in mind these are great and so easy to install. they keep my daughter out of our cabinets for sure. we bought some other locks that are magnetized key locks and we just didn't have the energy or time to figure out how to install them. these are so self explanatory you can't really go wrong.one problem with these is you can't be too rough on them because they are just skinny pieces of plastic. we had one break and just screwed a new one in the same place, no big deal.the other problem with these is that the cabinet or drawer does open a small amount so you can get your fingers in there to push down the lock. my daughter can reach her skinny hand / arm in the drawers and grab stuff out. so we had to rearrange our drawers a little and move pens, paperclips, etc. to the back. and put big stuff that can't be pulled out of the gap to the front (big pads of paper, etc.). 4Whimpy hardware - screws broke A simple enough design, it works as expected. However, the screws that this product came with are the reason this is getting only 2stars. The screw head broke right off TWICE! I was installing them in a very standard wooden kitchen cupboard... The first time it broke, I was using a battery powered driver...and I thought, okay, maybe the drill is just too much torque for this little guy...my fault. So the next time, (after drilling a pilot hole, mind you) I used a good ol' fashioned screwdriver...and guess what? The head on the screw broke right off again! I was able to retrieve one of the embedded screws, but not the other one:( I ended up having to use an even bigger pilot hole and screwing them in using 1/8 turns very carefully to ensure that no more broke on me. 2Work well These work great, we had the same ones when I was a little one, 30 some years ago. I guess they are still around because they work.Update- These leave marks on cabinets if you forget to close them correctly and just slam them shut like there aren't latches on them, so if you have nice cabinets you really like, these may not be for you. Ours are pretty beat up, so not a big deal for us. 4Can Take A Beating This is my second time purchasing these latches. I have a very physically enthusiastic toddler. We installed these latches on the bottom cabinet doors. Obviously it s not a fun endeavor to have to drill anything, but my SO made short work of it.My toddler loves to yank the cabinets open as far as he can and bang them shut, so these can take quite a beating. Only one has failed, it s the one on the roll-out garbage can drawer, and that s because the can shifted around and got in the way of a proper closure, the drawer was forced shut and the latch broke.Now the baby can reach the drawers, so we ve purchased another set to fully equip the kitchen before my kid dumps a drawer of knives on his head. 5Simple installation, durable, effective Very simple to install, very durable, easy to operate, and very effective. These made for a simple add-on in a hidden location within our fine oak kitchen cabinets, making drawers inaccessible to our granddaughter. She is an absolute genius, but she has not wasted time trying bypass these stay-out drawer locks. Once we are beyond needing toddler safety, these will be easily removed and gifted or sold, leaving no visible damage to our cabinet drawers. 5
