    Great for home improvements I used this to help my cheap kitchen in my rental home look more homey and I love it!I did this alone but I would recommend having someone there to help with larger areas of counter or whatever you may be covering 5Perfect to use as vinyl transfer tape for Silhouette or Circuit! I use this as vinyl transfer tape for decal designs I cut with my Silhouette Cameo. Works perfectly every time! Highly recommend. 5Does not stick to wood I bought this specifically for wooden shelves in a linen closet. After carefully trimming it to size, I quickly found that it does not stick to wood at all - which was pictured in one if the examples on this page, and someone said it would on the Q&A (albeit painted wood). I tried wrapping it around the edges so it could adhere to itself a bit but it was still pulling off the wood and looked terrible.This product page really does need to specify in pictures or in the description what materials this won t work for, as it s useless for my intended purpose. Bummer, because this is typically a trusted brand for me. 1Tricky to install well and a bit thin, but results in a glossy paint-like finish. The laminate is a little bit thinner than I was expecting, but does have a nice finish once you get it properly installed. Being thin makes it susceptible to rolling and bunching up on itself. If you properly cut the shape before placing it and only remove the backing as you are smoothing it out (don't remove all of the backing all at once and try to place it like a giant sticker) then you can prevent a lot of the bubbles and creases from forming. 4Perfect as a DIY dry erase board Works perfectly as a DIY "whiteboard"! I got clear so I could personalize it later with a prettier "backing", but I guess you could just use white paper if you're really going for that whiteboard look.I initially tested it out with a piece of construction paper and slapped it in between two laminate sheets. Very easy to apply, though it may take a few extra seconds to peel the laminate off of the roll. I used an old expo marker that was sitting around, and it went on pretty cleanly. But perhaps more importantly, it wiped right off just like a whiteboard! No stains or streaks :)I'm a college student living in a dorm, so I plan on using this to make a giant whiteboard to put on my door and a couple of smaller ones to slap on my walls.It's soooo much better than the thin "whiteboard" poster you get at officemax or something. (I had one, and it was terribly hard to clean off the markers, and they were still left stained. Took me some real elbow grease and a clorox wipe to really get it off.) 5Peel and Stick has changed--harder to use--Grid is gone and it is stickier than the old version We have been using peel and stick to cover book jackets. We used to use Contac brand but Duck brand Peel and Stick had a better grid for cutting in straight lines and was clearer than the matte finish of Contac. It was also more forgiving and easier to use than Contac. Sticky enough to stick but able to be repositioned really easily. The product we have been using is 5 stars BUT IT HAS CHANGED! We still like it better than Contac because it is clearer but it is now no easier to use. It is more sticky and bubbles more easily than it used to. The helpful grid is gone, replaced by a few dotted lines. It is slightly thinner than Contac but that is not an issue for us.I probably would have given this more stars if I wasn't comparing it to the older version which we loved. 3Great product! I looked all over for drawer liners and found them to be either scented (ugh!), kitchen-y, too plain, too gaudy, atrocious colors, ugly or old-fashioned. I looked at using wallpaper, but the patterns I liked were either too expensive or textured. So I bought commerical wrapping paper (100 ft roll) and covered it with this. Took a few tries until I got the process to where it didn't have wrinkles, but they turned out beautifully. My only regret is that this does not come in a matte finish. 5Great transfer tape for adhesive vinyl I use this product as transfer tape for applying adhesive vinyl. It's a great value compared to other products and seems to have the perfect tack level - not too sticky but stick enough to make application easy. For applying to painted wood I suggest sticking to shirt or other to reduce stickiness just a bit to ensure that you won't peal off any paint. By following that this product works great for all applications, wood, glass, etc. 5Great inexpensive alternative to transfer tape I purchased this item as an alternative to expensive transfer tape in order to transfer vinyl designs made on my Silhouette Portrait die-cut machine onto glass or any other smooth, solid surface. This stuff worked great! It is tacky but not super-sticky, so it is perfect for these applications. It is re-positionable and transparent, so it makes aligning designs and lettering very easy. The Silhouette brand transfer tape is translucent, so it can be difficult to see light colored vinyl through the tape. My first use of this item was for a glass etching project, and the vinyl design transferred perfectly.The cost was about 1/12th of the Silhouette brand transfer tape. 36 feet of this stuff for about half the price of 6 feet of theirs. I will be using the Duck brand laminate adhesive from now on.Don't get this confused with the super-sticky laminate adhesives (like regular Con-Tact paper) which are too sticky for these types of projects. Con-Tact does make a similar clear shelf liner which should work the same, but I haven't tried it. 5Useless This laminate didn't stick to anything when I tried it. I wanted it for shelf liner, but it refused to adhere to both painted and pressed wood shelves. 1
