Customer Reviews

Dirty jobs are OK now This is a great outfit for a lot of dirty jobs. I use it to install insulation, clean out crawl space, etc. I get several wears out of it depending on the job. If I'm crawling on my belly it only is wearable a few times before the tyvek wears through. Couple this suit with a respirator, googles, and a head lamp and you are set for anything. However, save a few bucks and purchase http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0008F4HP6?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00 instead of this one. It's identical except it doesn't come with a pair of $0.25 gloves. Get a pack of gloves separately because they are thin and are hard to remove without tearing. 5How to never get help with a flat tire lol Maybe no one will stop, but I live in northern New England, and if I'm stuck on the road in winter, and it's cold and wet out, I do think this would be better than those cheese plastic emergency ponchos. Haven't tried it in the cold and wet yet, but my guess is it would keep you warmer, dry and visible, especially with a couple of strips of reflective tape. Also, love the built in booties - you'll never find anything anywhere for this price that will also keep your feet dry, and I really hate wet feet. And, who needs a bivy sac with one of these? It's sort of a combo sleeping bag/bivy sac. Definitely keeping it in my car for emergencies, so, hey guys, if you see us ladies with a flat in one of these, we're just trying to stay dry. 5Medium a pretty good fit for 5'8" tall guy I was doing a small attic cable install project, which involved dealing with blown-in fiberglass insulation. Yep, exactly the kind of stuff you don't want to get on your skin, or in your lungs. The coveralls, along http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0002YKBV2/ref=wms_ohs_product?ie=UTF8&psc=1 did a great job of keeping the nasty stuff away! They also feature rubber feet and hand openings, so that they fit snugly around your gloves and shoes. However, be prepared to sweat a lot, as they do not breathe at all. I stripped to a t-shirt while working in the attic in December. In the summer, it could be next to impossible to accomplish the task while fully suited up. 4How many times can you reuse this thing? I got full value out of this. I had just bought a power washer and knew I was going to get some splashback, so bought this along with some high water proof boots and safety goggles. I looked like one of those extras in a movie examining the site where the alien landed.Well I wore this thing for 3 straight days of powerwashing. By the time I finished the first day, I was caked in mud, I had to have my wife spray me down with the power washer before I could take the suit off. It kept all the gunk off my body. I hung it in the garage overnight, slipped it on the following 2 days until I was done, kept me clean on the inside while I blasted all the grime off every surface I could reach. See attached picture my wife took of me in all my muddy glory. The next day I went under the deck to clean out the junk that accumulated over the years, I filled 8 garbage bags with dead leaves, dead insects, grease, mold, cobwebs, droppings etc.IFinally, I wore it again the next day while I disposed of a patch of poison ivy we discovered in the backyard. I had my wife hose me down and then finally disposed of the suit.So now when I see these suits I am filled with a sense of achievement, but also pain as that week was the most manual work I have done in years and fear that my wife will buy another suit and nudge me towards some more work that she wants done. 5I didn't get poison ivy I was worried that size M wouldn't fit me, as I'm 5'2" and about 115 lbs, but this was the smallest size available. To my relief, it fit pretty well except for a tendency of the hood to slip down over my eyes. This was an issue because while I was pulling out poison ivy for two hours and I had to periodically reach up and push the hood out of my face. However, I washed my face and arms well with Tecnu after the job and it was fine. It was great to just step out of the suit, wad it up and stuff it in the trash, knowing that my clothes and shoes did not need to be cleaned (though I did wash my clothes anyway.)If I had to do it over again, I'd use something like hairpins to keep the hood out of my face, possibly put on a dust mask (because I got whipped in the face with a vine, and a bunch of root-laden dirt also splashed on my nose and mouth), and choose a cooler day to do the work. But overall, I was very happy with this product! 5Great for light to medium use! I used this to clear out a flea infestation down in my basement. I was using Raid Flea Killer and needed to suit up to avoid getting the chemicals on my skin. This worked great and the sizing was good for me. I am short and stout, so the suit was super long, but the elastic held everything where it should be. This suit keeps everything out, so it ended up being a sauna suit but I used it as an opportunity to crank my music and just get a "sweat to the oldies" vibe going.I used this with protective goggles and a disposable N95 particulate mask. Vacuumed every nook and cranny of the basement, bagged up the vacuum bag, removed my cat's litter boxes, bagged up all the litter and cleared the floor. Then sprayed the entire floor thoroughly. This suit was great, no rips, no loose elastic and it kept me protected for the dirty job I was doing. I would order again. 5Don't get caught...without one. Hannibal Lecter himself would find these handy suits a must have. Roomy and breathable but yet still keeping your DNA contained so you don't contaminate the crime scene (whether you're investigating or instigating). In reality I use these (coupled with an Israeli military gas mask) for navigating my horrific attic which is filled with hamster bed insulation consisting of newspaper, fiberglass and spiders. Just tape your wrists to your gloves, take a xanax and get ready for whatever wonderland required you to don this thing. 5Sizing for women - what worked for me I thought I'd post a review to help anyone trying to determine sizing for women. I'm 5' 6", 130 lb. and generally wear a size 8 pants. I ordered the medium and it fits really nicely. It's a little big overall, but there's elastic at the waist that actually cinches it tight, and when worn over jeans it fits exactly right. The legs are a little long for me, and the booties are huge, but when worn over tennis shoes it was fine.I'm glad I ordered the medium and not the small. The small might have fit me a little snug (like it appears in the picture), but I wanted a looser, baggier fit, and that's what I got with the medium. Loose enough to wear over whatever I want, but not so big that I'm swimming in it.And I ordered this for probably the ODDEST reason ever: a mosquito suit. I live in the Gulf Coast region, so for 6 months of the year we are overrun with clouds of mosquitoes. As soon as you step outside, you're mobbed. That leaves two choices: bug spray or wearing long-sleeved heavy clothes in 95 degree weather. I hate reeking of bug spray all day and winter clothes in July are just unbearable. So I'm REALLY glad I stumbled across this jumpsuit. It's perfect for quick trips out to the garden, since I can zip it up over whatever I'm wearing - tank top, pjs, whatever (lol!). I don't get bitten through the tyvek material, and so far it has been really durable. I don't use it when I'm out there digging or doing any intensive work - just for trips when I want to pick dinner or do light weeding - but it saves me from having to slather on bug spray. I know sooner or later I'll probably get little rips or tears, but that's what duct tape is for!Excellent product, affordable, and very durable for a disposable product. I can see how this would be really useful in a LOT of situations! 5Rips under normal light-duty use There were several problems with this suit / order:1. The suit arrived just rolled (almost wadded) up in the shipping box, with no individual package or documentation. This made me wonder whether it was new or used, and even whether it may be a fraudulent product.2. It was difficult to put on, although it seemed to fit well after I had finally wriggled into it.3. I noticed that the (single-)stitched seams seemed not to be sealed in any way - so I don't know how it would seal-out any vapors or liquids, let alone dust - or even tiny insects.4. When I bent over at the waist (to pick up an object), it pulled tight top-to-bottom on the backside. Although I tried to be careful when bending after that, it ripped all the way across the lower back, along the stitching for an elastic band, upon the second or third bend. (This definitely isn't suitable for any application that requires bending forward at the waist, or that involves any sitting... and squatting would definitely tear it out).5. I noticed that the elastic opening in the hood did not snug the hood around my face, and the top edge of the opening tended to pull down over my eyes quite often.6. The suit was VERY difficult and awkward to take off, so it would be likely that any contamination on the outside of the suit would "transfer" to under-lying clothing and/or skin while the wearer fights to "extricate" themselves from the suit.7. During removal, I discovered that the crotch area also had some small torn holes - probably due to the same stresses that caused the back to rip, although it's possible that those holes already existed before use, and I simply did not notice them when putting it on.8. Apparently, there is effectively no warranty for this suit.Despite all these negatives there also were a few favorable aspects of this suit:- I was working moderately while wearing the suit, but it did not cause me to "over heat", nor was I any more uncomfortable than if I had been wearing only the conventional clothing.- Although I was walking on various surfaces, including concrete, crushed stone, dirt/sand, a few sticks, etc. of a period of 1.5-2 hours of use, the booties did not puncture, tear, or noticeably abrade. (Of course, they did become very dirty on the bottoms).Overall, I am quite disappointed with this suit - mainly because of the "open" seams, holes, and tears, that negate any protection it would otherwise provide. 1Fit Well - Worked Well - Good Product! I bought these to keep fiberglass insulation at bay while working in an attic to install cross members between trusses. I am 6'2" tall and weigh about 220 pounds. This product fit me perfectly without any discomfort. It was warm, but not to the extent of a "rubber suit" type product. When I did sweat, it contained the sweat inside nicely and allowed me to focus on the work at hand vs. wiping sweat away. I accomplished what I wanted to do with this product, and so for that, it's a 5 star order, and I will use this again during the end of the remodel when running electric/installing lighting.- Fit as expected... most onesies can get tight and potentially blow out when doing burpies, but not Tyvec!- Durable (they feel a bit thin, but the tyvec material is quite durable)- kept fiberglass insulation from touching my skin- kept sweat/moisture from running out of suit while working in hot attic- did the hustle, cabbage patch, dougie, and soldier boy tell em' without blowing out the seams... all while installing joints between trusses.... and wearing a tool belt 5
