Five Stars
Love it! Perfect size. I can finally chop my basil without any struggles
5Made in Italy, True Mezzaluna
This was a gift for a friend's grandmother who loves to cook. Her parents came from Italy; so it was important to me that the mezzaluna was made in Italy. This one is. I have a mezzaluna very similar to this which had been given to me by a friend's mother when I visited Italy. I love using it for finely chopping onions, herbs, and lettuce. This would be a great tool for someone with carpal tunnel syndrome, because the chopping movement comes mainly from the upper arms and not the wrists.
5Great product
I love this for chopping my kale for salads.
5Great for kitchen use
Great for kitchen use.We have a large vegetable garden and I prepare the harvest to store in the 3 three freezers which we have. Some vegetables---such as collards--- need to be cut into small pieces before packaging. This knife is ideal for that.
5but still a great tool.
Smaller than I expected, but still a great tool.
4labeling it pretty much useless as is
Well, what can I say that the other gentleman who gave that product one star hadn't said already. This knife is duller than a 2 L plastic bottle! Mine. on top of that, had a series of deep gauges in it. Sure, it's just cosmetics, yet ... Anywho, I will give it a try sharpening with a grinder. But before I do that I will try to contact Amazon if that voids my right to return. As of this moment I am more than inclined to send it back, labeling it pretty much useless as is.Update: After contacting Amazon they sent out immediately a replacement without requiring the old one back. The new one arrived the next day. I used it once so far, and it works much better. Still, I think that the blade is not really sharpened the right way. The manufacturer should spend a little bit more time on quality control!
2Good knife, iffy handles.
The knife is great, the handles are starting to delaminate. It sharpens well and is great to use but as the handles deteriorate, I'm pretty sure that I'm going to have to replace the knife sooner, rather than later.
3A fine kitchen tool
Just what we needed.
5Look out Parsley
Parsley doesn't have a chance with this mezzaluna. easy grip handles and a nice sharp blade.
5What a rip off. I should have known that ...
What a rip off. I should have known that any knife under $30 would be. Calling it a knife is a mistake. All it is, is a piece of shinning steel(?) with two handles on it. Eppicotispai, I thought this was some kind of brand name. I guess not. This word was no where on the knife expect on the picture displayed on Amazon. No edge AND after two hours of stoning still no edge. No temper won't hold an edge. In one word, JUNK. I only have myself to blame.
