Customer Reviews

neededa finger to test this on..... it's an estwing, cant get better hammers.5Estwing. Nuff said Estwing 5Almost PerfectI lobe everything about this hammer, except the fact that it does not come with a magnetic nail starter. The weight is perfect. The feel in my hand is exactly what I was looking for. I have owned several smaller Estwings (16 & 20 oz.) and have always found them to be ergonomic and robust hammers tbat will last a lifetime (I know several people who have been using theirs for 20 + years). It hits hard and accurately, with no rotation in the hand. Comfortable to use for extended periods. The length of the hammer may take some getting used to, but that will quickly pass. My favorite framing hammer. 5 stars even though it doesn't have a magnetic nail starter.4Mans hammerNo complaints. Allow me to reach 9 foot wall top plates due to the extended handle5BestSwing it like you mean it. Best hammer out.the milled face blue stick for framing.5Best thing since sliced bread This is my favorite hammer it sinks 16 duplex with one swing and you can pull it with one pry. I weld and sheet roofs in the carpenters union and i have gone through many hammers in my time. This one is right up there with my old school 25 oz hart. Spend the money and you won't regret it. Unless You wear your sisters pants and you think a 25 oz hammer is to heavy to swing all day. (Carpenter tip of the day the bigger the hammer the less you have to swing it) 5Estwing power all the wayI have been building houses for 17 years, own my own business, I'm estwinh hammers all the way. I love this hammer for its extra length giving it more leverage and nailing power. Hits harder than a 28 oz even though it's a 25 oz. Not a 16 oz claiming to nail like a 28 that claim is bs. This hammer is perfect for a person who nails things every day.5Great for demo work. The weight, length, and design of this hammer are perfect. It has the best claw for pulling nails that I have found and the extra couple inches on the handle are great for some extra leverage. While I think there are better hammers for framing work, this hammer works great for anything you can throw at it.5Good solid heavy duty hammer which is important if you use one every day!!!!!!Nice heavy solid striking hammer. Longer than most handle to give you a good strong swing to power in big nails or get things to move where you want them. Pretty good for tearing things up too like breaking bricks or knocking holes in concrete blocks.5A very big heavy hammer.I agree with both previous reviewers to some extent. This is a big heavy hammer. I posted a pic of it above because I couldn't believe how big it was. I'm over 6 ft. tall and weigh 220 and I wouldn't use this hammer in the house without choking up on the handle. It's like swinging an axe. That said, I could probably drive railroad spikes with it outdoors (with eye protection for sure, I wouldn't want a steel spike chip in my eye). I bought this hammer after the head snapped off my last two wooden handle hammers while using the claw. This hammer looked like a crowbar with a head on it in pictures I saw so I bought it as my last hammer. I'm pretty sure it will last centuries.5My favorite hammer I work in construction I ve used several different hammers but out of all of them this is my favorite one the only thing I would change about it is I would make the claws a little longer 5Its a beast It's a beast of a hammer nice for framing lf you are looking for a heavy duty beater this is great don't think I wood use it for ever day but I love it for the big stuf 5A beast of a framing hammer!Really good feel in the hand! I m 19 and I swing this all day with no issues. As others have said, it s heavy, and not for those with limp forearms. Fit and finish wise, the grinds on the faces are not perfect, so you perfectionists out there may not like that.5BrutalI have been thru 6 hammers in the last 2 years. Use them mostly for demolition. After breaking my Annihilator demo hammer( cheap welded overpriced garbage ) I went with this beast. I am never gentle with it and it likes it that way. When i actually use it for nailing purposes... Works just fine. NOT FOR THOSE WITH WEAK HANDS AND/OR ARMS.5
