Customer Reviews
Good quality geniometer
Quick shipping. I m doing recovery at home from a knee replacement and no longer going to PT. Nice to have to see how I m progressing.
5Just like the one used by PTs!
Just like the one used by my physical therapist. I'm recovering from total knee replacement and it helps me see my progress when exercising at home -- just what I need to keep me motivated despite the pain!
5Post-total knee replacement reassurance
I had knee replacement surgery in June. I was in Physical Therapy for a few months working on a knee flexion goal of 130 degrees. When I was discharged from therapy, a concern I had was whether I was maintaining my progress or back-sliding. A goniometer is a simple way to measure progress (or back-sliding). I found it reassuring and a good marker of how well I was doing my stretches. It is inexpensive -- 1/3 the PT co-pay on my insurance!
5Good Incentive to Exercise
Had knee replacement. This protractor is a good incentive to keep up the exercises. Used for measuring the amount of BEND the knee is able to accomplish.
5Great For PT!
I got my own Goniometer to measure my range of motion progress after my knee replacement surgeries. It takes a bit to learn how to read it, especially on yourself, but my readings were matching the ones my Physical Therapist was taking so I got it down. There are youtube videos and instructions out there to help you. Very happy with this purchase as it helped me stay on track after my surgeries.
5... learn how to get the alignment points which are easy to find
Had to go to the internet to learn how to get the alignment points which are easy to find. I works very well and it is nice to check extension and flexion.
5This is the goniometer you want!
The only thing wrong with this product is the picture selling it. I do work comp exams and use goniometers all the time. So much so that I know the hardest part of using a goniometer is usually reading the numbers on it. The picture does not do this baby justice! It has the numbers on a white background for ease of use. I know most of the reviews were from laypeople rehabbing injuries so I was worried about it, but for $7 how can you go wrong? Answer: you can't. My goniometer wasn't delivered to the sun so there was no melting. Seriously this thing is pretty sturdy. I'm beyond happy!
5It looks like it had almost melted and is permanently bent
The goniometer moves well and is stiff enough so the arms don't move after you hold it in place. I just brought it to class for the first time to use last week and when I took it out of the plastic package it came in I noticed that the arms of the goniometer were bent. It looks like it had almost melted and is permanently bent. I have tried everything to unbend them but nothing works. I had ordered two and they both came the same way.
3Necessary After Knee Replacement
This tool was invaluable after I had knee replacement surgery, to measure my progress on flexing the knee during recovery. Works great.
5Nice and tight!
I m a physical therapist and use this every day. I m so glad this one is nice and tight. For those who use a goni every day are with me when I say I cant stand when I can only use one hand for the measurement and it s so loose your fingers have to to contort and do the splits the get an accurate measurement. This is perfect!
