    When you actually care about making a knife cut like a light saber!!! This is hands down the best strop I've ever had I got a knife collection and have had my fair share of experiences with strops and this till now has been the best strop I have used. As soon as you hold it you know it was well thought out the one thing I have a complain about is that I can not find the compound the manufacture uses to load the strop otherwise it would be given 5 stars excellent quality. 4No pro here but worked well for me Bought this with a new knife. Used it immediately to experiment and this thing works. Never used a strop before so I'm no expert but it made a noticeable difference in a couple minutes. One thing to remember when using this is to keep the pressure very light on the blade. Polished the edges quite nicely. Would suggest purchasing additional compound with it even though it is preloaded. 5Knockoff Appears to be a knockoff. Brand not pressed in leather like picture shows or like the other customer pictures. Still does what it's intended for, so i did add on another star. But yet another case of receiving something totally different than what the picture shows. You can see in my photos that the hole for the lanyard isn't even drilled center. 2AWESOME!!! This is a great little strop. The strop is double sided, and it is loaded with two compounds. One side is 3000 grit, and the other side is 6000 grit. It is very well made with a nice size piece of leather on each side. I own a Delica 4 and a Cold Steel American Lawman, and I am sharpening them on a Spyderco Sharpmaker. After getting a decent edge on each knife capable of shaving hair, I stropped each knife on the darker 3000 grit side 10-15 times and immediately noticed a difference in the sharpness of each knife. I then ran each knife over the 6000 grit side, and was extremely impressed by the amount of difference it made in the sharpness of each knife. After going from hair shaving sharp on the fine stone from the sharpmaker, to each side of the strop, I am now able to shave the hair on my arm without being able to notice any resistance from the hair. Each knife easily push cuts phone book paper after this strop. To be honest I am blown away by the amount of difference this strop made. I was happy when my knives would shave hair after the sharpmaker, but this strop took them to a whole new level. I was not sure when I bought the strop if I also needed to run the knives over the ultra fine spyderco stones before stropping them, but I can say that jumping from the fine stones to the strop made them stupid sharp. I am sure eventually I will buy the UF stones just to see if it makes a difference, but I can not see how my knives could get much sharper. The best part of the whole purchase was that the strop arrived super early much to my joyful surprise. I would not hesitate to buy this strop again. 5Good Item My first stropThick leather glued to a piece of woodSturdy, and should last me a whileHad compound on both sides when it arrived. Green on one side and black on the other. Didn't last long, or maybe I just stropped every knife I own and wore it off.I have some around here somewhere and will reapply some.I'd buy it again 5Really good strop ! I really like this strop !It's two sided so you can apply black compound to one side and Herb's on the opposite side to finish honing your blade.It's large enough to use on my blades that are bigger but small enough to take on the road.It's size allows it to be easily carried in a travel bag or pack... 5Makes a razor edge Just got this in the mail today. I've never sharpened any knife before other tham couple passes through pocket sharpeners, and I've certainly never used a strop. I watched some YouTube videos on how to do it practiced on two different EDC pocket knoves I use regularly for box cutting. I did about 9-10 passes per side on the grey side first, followed by the green, and was shaving the hairs on my arm with both knives! So awesome! 5Good travel strop The small size isn't meant for something like a large kitchen knife, but for smaller knives. The pre-applied compound does not stay very long, but that seems the like same green stuff I use, so I'm not going to complain about that. Anyone that wants the compound to last longer just hit it with some heat and let the compound melt in a bit. 4The strop for a person on the go! Wow. Just... Wow. Not only did my strop get to me early, but its actual functionality/ size and weight makes it the perfect strop for anyone, especialy if you like backpacking, hunting, and everything in between. why? Because its small enough to fit in an already stuffed backpack, light as a feather, and works like a charm!Took my manix's CTS-BD1 from a decent amount of sharpness, to a hair whittling sharp lightsaber. But i didnt only strop my manix, i stropped my kobun, PM2 kershaw Cqc-6k, and a few mora's and now, just like my manix, they're all like lightsabers!!! Regardless of blade steel, this strop will put a better edge on your knife. I did for me!(Polished up the edge too) 5Excellent strop Great quality and perfect size for me. I was never good at sharpening my many pocket knives until I invested in a decent sharpener. But even then I was lacking that final razors edge I was looking for. After some research I figured I'd give it a go at stropping. I was turned into flexx strops via some knife forums ....I could not have invested better for my needs. Very easy to use and it truly put that razors edge on many of my pocket knives. 5
