    Okay product.Good product, lighter weight than I thought and it doesn't really stay put. It slides off really easy. It would be good to lay on the floor or bungee around something. I use it to cover the backseat for the dog to lay on and it always seem to slide down every time the dog moves. 4Thin. Not true moving blankets as I know themThe reviews were so mixed and just about everything on amazon is the same way so I figured I would give it a shot. These "moving blankets" are very light and I would not call them moving blankets. The are similar in design to what I expected. Just thin. I am not going to return them but when I need more I will try to find something twice as thick. Even if its twice the price. 3Not the thickest, but works well.As others have said on these reviews: the blankets aren't all that thick.That's not an issue for me, and probably won't be for most people. In all honesty, how thick did you want them??? I actually bought them as a cheap DIY acoustic treatment for a basement room that was too boomy. They work well for that.As moving blankets, I think they would work out just fine. You don't need something crazy thick, you just need something thick enough to protect the items your moving from getting dinged and scratched in transport, and I think these would do the trick.And hey, the orange and black just looks cool :) 4Excellent Moving Blankets for a Great Price (with One Caveat)These are very high quality wrapping blankets used for moving. They are thick, double-stitched in two directions, and fully edged to help prevent fraying from the sides. A very nice touch is that each blanket comes in its own zippered plastic bag which can be used to replace the blanket after the move for storage. For the price, they are very well constructed, sturdy, and its hard to fault them.One minor issue is that some of the blankets I received in this set seem to have black speckles that initially look like mold or mildew on them (and I see that a number of reviewers here have commented on this, as well), but I'm not sure that's what this is. It appears that it may be some result of the manufacturing process. It's strange that only about every other blanket had these (half of them appeared pristine), and I have no explanation for this. However, all the blankets seemed to perform very well, and I'm pleased with the purchase. I give the blankets four stars only because I cannot explain the black speckles on some of the blankets, but these are great moving tools. 4PHEWW!I don't usually write reviews, but this one needs it. I bought two of these for the floor of my moving van. They smell so bad right out of the package, it almost knocked me over. I left them outside in the breeze for two days, then put them in the van. The odor was so powerful, I could still smell it ON MYSELF all day after just riding around with them. I put them through two wash and dry cycles with heavy detergent, but all it did was make them start to fall apart -- they still stink of mold or mildew or SOMETHING nasty. And I'm not generally sensitive to smells. 1Better than expected!I read reviews on several variations of these blankets. While not a quilt, I bought them for working in my shop. Some of them I will drape over cars or projects to prevent dust and such out of them. They aren't that heavy but are certainly of great value to what I need. Would buy them again. I think if you were using for moving blankets you might want to double up for most precious cargo. But if covering a dresser or such for scratch resistance or dings, they are perfect for that. Seams and such were much stronger than I expected reading some of the other types. 5the smell who ah overwhelming!!!!!!!!! whoahI used these for my home studio to dampen the sounds on the walls. The smell of this is overwhelming . I have no idea what kind of factory produces these but smells like auto mechanics were using these as hand wipes. It stinks and I thought the smell would go away after a few days out of the bag who ah gave me a migraine and made the whole house stink!!!! I got ten of them. 1These make great high amd midrange frequemcy abdorbers.I am using these for sound management in my recording studio so I do not know how srurdy they are or durable for moving needs.These are RESIDENTIAL grade or level so do not expect Pro Moving Company level.For residential level these seem very good. The dual color sides denote different uses. So do read the directions/label.They are a decent quality and are big and easy to handle.I used mine to absorb sound in my studio. They handle highs and midrange very well.They are a pretty low cosr way to cover walls, ceiling and such. You can always cover with green screen for video sridios alao.They do not have grommets or metal rings to hang it with.You can make button holes and or add grommets to allow these to hang easier.I recommend them. 5Great for moving/storing!We used these to cover table tops in the moving truck to make sure nothing got scratched and they served the purpose perfectly. These also come in handy if you have wood/tile floors... you can set heavier furniture in them and just drag it across the floor so there is less lifting involved. 5DisgustedSeems to be falling apart first time being used. Put this on a living room chair we are going to move. Before we moved the chair at all, our 10 pound toy poodle jumped up into the seat of the chair. Her feet went right through the blanket. Holes where she jumped up onto the chair seat and holes where she simply walked to get off the chair.If a simple 10 pound poodle can rip through it while just walking, I seriously doubt it is going to provide much protection. If it bumps up against anything, is the blanket going to just rip open? If it brushes against something, is the blanket going to fail to protect the chair.No, I would not recommend that anyone buy this. 1
