Useful, but are not well made I am happy to have the rings to make my English Muffins..I bought 12. Unfortunately, 3 of them came apart within a short period of time. Now, I need to make the muffins in two batches. I read some of the other reviews complaining of sticking. I wipe the insides with butter and it seems to be enough to avoid sticking. Though useful, I would not recommend this product because of the manufacturing. (more attention to connecting the ends together would have made all of the difference.) 2I got 4 packs! These rings are just what I wanted as they help the English muffin dough to rise rather than spread out, giving them the desired thickness I was trying to achieve. The description says they are 3-3/4 inch diameter, which is correct when the outside of the ring is measured. However, the inside measurement is just slightly over 3-1/2 inches, so you'll get 3-1/2 inch muffins. The rings are sturdier than I had anticipated (based on some of the reviews saying they are flimsy). The metal is thicker than cookie cutters for sure. One star removed because the connecting joint on all of the rings is not smooth and will catch on your sponge or cloth when hand washing them. Other than that, I love 'em. My recipe makes about 14 muffins so I ordered 4 packs of these! 4Quality isn't great Bought these 12/29/15. It's now 7/2/16 and one has fallen apart. They work well when they're not broken, but the quality isn't good enough for them to last. Will be looking for better quality rings next time. Pass on these if you actually plan to use them regularly and long term. We used them probably once every week and they only lasted 6 months. 3Broke at seam after a few uses One broke at the seam after a few uses making English Muffins. I ve tried various glueing tries to no avail so back here shopping for a heartier set made as a solid circle. Perfect height and size for English muffins but low score on secure seams, which I guess translates to poor quality or craftsmanship. Or maybe I just got a lemon set. I do think the seals overall look very weak. 2NOT 3.75 inches diameter These are NOT 3.75 inches in diameter. Even though the box says so. They are the same diameter as my rings that are advertised as 3.5". I measured them and they are 3.5", maybe 3 33/64". For metric, they are 9.05 cm.They are less sturdy than my other rings.Otherwise, yes they are rings and they are 1" high. Since that dimension is as advertised, it would seem that someone can take a measurement. Whether the incorrect labeling is evil marketing or incompetence is a question for the ages.There were no hassles from Amazon on the return. But I have to repack and drop them off at a UPS location. And I don't have the product I need when I need it. 2They Are SO EASY To Make!!!:-) I uses these ALL the time to make English Muffins!! They are So AWESOME !!!! They come with a recipe, to make English muffins, and it's Really easy to make!! They taste SO GREAT , TOO!!! TRY IT FOR YOURSELF TODAY!!! 5Perfect English Muffins These are a little flimsy but seem like they will hold up over time decently. I do think they need extra care in storage because they seem to warp easily. Other than that, they are exactly what I need; the diameter and height are perfect. They do stick but I found the remedy to this is to first grease the rings and then "flour" them slightly with cornmeal; just don't do the cornmeal too heavily or they slip out when flipping.Overall, these are a great value since English Muffins are a little pricey in the grocery store but can be made at home for pennies. I'm using a modified version of Alton Brown's recipe and would highly recommend his version over the recipe included with the rings, or any rolled and cut recipe for that matter. Batters rather than doughs seem to be the way to go to get those excellent nooks and crannies. 4Good quality for the price. Very happy. So far, I've only used them for scone/biscuit cutters, and they do a great job and make large size scones/biscuits. I haven't used them to make crumpets/English muffins yet, but I fully intend to do so before long. I hang them on a rod for storage because I don't have a lot of kitchen drawer space. 5great for scraping winter squashes! I got this pair of grapefruit spoons primarily for scraping out the seeds of winter squashes because I couldn't find a larger serrated spoodn and I don't know what they call the scraper spoons for squash.. These work very well! I also tried one yesterday for a grapefruit, and it also worked well for that. Although serrated, it isn't scratchy or rough. I'll probably buy another set to have one pair each dedicated for squash and grapefruit respectively. 5These are good basic english muffin rings These are good basic english muffin rings. I made the gluten free recipe found here: http://glutenfreegoddess.blogspot.com/2009/04/gluten-free-english-muffins.html and they were wonderful! One recipe made 10 with this size ring.I greased them well but there was still a little stickage. However, I was able to push them out without damaging the sides too much.A friend gave me a set of silicon egg rings that I tested at the same time. The silicone rings needed no greasing and had no stickage but the metal rings gave a better rise, perhaps because they were taller. 4
