    Exactly the thing for buffet type appetizers These worked perfectly for a reception. As with your standard box of toothpicks, there were a few that were splintered or had a knot where it just broke. But out of 200 that was maybe 5 of them. One version I used a bit of basil, pearl mozzarella and grape tomatoes. One version was 1/4" slices of cheese and summer sausage alternated twice. Both styles still gave you more than enough room to hang on to the skewer. I thought they were perfect for proportion - without being too short to hold on to or being too long that you feel like you might poke out an eye. 5Great price Used these for fruit kabobs for my daughter s Moana themed birthday party. I think these skewers are great for the price. I did have a couple that were falling apart, but maybe only 4 out of the 100, so I didn t mind. Worth the buy! 4Pretty simple product Served their purpose. Pretty simple product. Not much that could go wrong. Pay attention to the size. These are a bit shorter than I was expecting but that's on me for not looking at the measurements. They are the measurements they say they are. 5Bamboo stick for multiple uses I purchased these bamboo sticks for the strawberries and marshmallows that were dipped into a chocolate fountain for the junior and senior prom my school held. They are well made and sturdy. I will buy them again to use at next years prom. 5One Star These are terrible. There are so many broken and splintered ones that I can't even use them. 1Fox Run Bamboo Skewers, 9-Inch I am a big fan of Kabobs and was planning on grilling for Father's day, so I ordered these skewers online at the same time as I was ordering other things I needed for the day, but I wish I would have just went to the store and bought the ones there. I got these skewers and soaked them overnight so when I put them on the grill they wouldn't burn (as you should do when working with wooden or bamboo skewers, but the next day when I put them on the grill they still burned after only about 10 minutes on the grill. I've never had this problem before with any of the other bamboo skewers I have used, so it must be the brand. I am still going to give it a 2 star review because not ALL of the skewers burned, but the fact that any did after being soaked overnight isn't very good. 2Mid-sized These bamboo skewers are an strange size: too small for kabobs or grilling purposes and too big for appetizer purposes. 422 Discarded So I had to discard 22 of the 10-inch pack. I m not overly disappointed because for the price, I didn t expect high quality. However, having to discard 22 instead of maybe 5 or 10 could be quite troublesome for someone banking on having a specific amount. The reasons for me having to discard so many are as follows: 3 of them were broken. Considering they were between 7 and 7.5 inches and their missing parts that should have been between 2.5 and 3 inches were nowhere to be found, I was left to assume they were packaged broken. That s fairly mean. The remaining 19 skewers we re pretty much broken or missing chunks in different places throughout the length that would compromise the sturdiness once items were placed on them. Some were just split.This is an initial review before putting the good skewers to use. I shall try to provide another update after I have utilized them.Update:So, I am changing my review from 3 stars to 1 star for the following reason:I happen to go to the store and spotted some bamboo skewers manufactured locally and guess what.... They are only $1.99 AND out of the pack of 100, only about 3 or 4 were rotten or damaged. They were also not as flimsy and thin as these are. They are like restaurant quality. Go figure. Lesson learned, can t always get certain things online.So, I can not recommend this product for future customers unless you re looking for thin skewers. 1Worked as expected For some reason, I couldn't find these little ditty's in stores.They worked perfectly on the grill, held up to meatballs & vegetable skewers without breaking. 5Dissapointed in quality purchased 10" skewers for use with food kabobs and edible arrangement. At least 11 skewers were broken (not usable) and splintered (not suitable for food use) with several more questionable. The skewers are thin and several had rough spots so not sure how usable these would be for food. The unusable number left me with too few to use for my project. This was a return product for me. Additionally, I did not find them to be a good value. Would not take the chance on purchasing again. 2
