Heading to the trash after many futile repairs I really wanted to like this footstool. It had exactly the right look for use on my screened-in front porch. However, it is very flimsy and poorly made. It collapsed right under my feet the first time I ever rested them -- lightly! -- on it. The workmanship and materials are so slipshod there's not enough there to do reasonable repairs. My multiple attempts to repair have fallen apart immediately. Terrible. With great regret, I am giving up on it. It goes out to the trash today. 1FELL APART! I thought this was super cute. Loved the idea of the lid. Unfortunately, it was the lid that was the first to fall apart. After fixing it several times the whole thing just caved in. The only thing this was used for was to put my feet on it when I crocheted. Not worth the money. The fabric started showing signs of wear and tear like a 20 year old couch would show weave disintegration, pilling. Now this. I will have a relative see if they can fix it somehow. I should know better than to purchase any furniture on line. It is often just a crap shoot as to what you will get. 1You can put your feet up and still Netflix even if your chill is gone. I bought this because I made a needlepoint cover for a mini foot stool. It will work perfectly. The tapestry that it came with is quite lovely enough, the stool itself is well enough made with separate legs that screw in for shipping. The lid opens to reveal a compartment the right size for the TV remote, reading glasses, a murder mystery, the cat lazer toy and a small needlework project. Or you could stash your bong, weed, lighter and papers in there. Who am I to judge?Oh, and don't stand on it. It's not made to support your weight. 4nice, but only 9". it's pretty much exactly what i expected.. except slightly smaller. it's almost exactly 15" wide (slightly wider), but BARELY 9" in height. it clearly says ten inches. and yeah, it's only one inch. but it makes a big difference in a foot stool. ideally, I'd like it to be around 13". the bottoms of the screw-in legs have holes in them, so maybe I can find something to put on the ends to make it taller. as far as the depth of the storage space, it's only 2.5". someone had commented that it was 3-4", but sadly, is not. I'm still very happy with it, I just wish I had that extra inch in storage and in height. what I wanted to put in it is ~3", so now that's not going to work. there aren't many others on here on prime, and I refuse to buy something over $10 off prime bc somehow I always get screwed, so I'll probably keep this. I guess I have a month to decide.it's not flimsy at all. I actually think it is very nice construction. Maybe some others were damaged in transit? I can also stand on it without any issues, but I only weigh 100 lbs. other than the height issue, it's exactly what I wanted and matches the decor of my room very nicely. I have all cherry oak finish, and my vanity stool has a very similar pattern. So it looks very nice in my room. if I find another that is slightly taller, I may return this. Otherwise, I will keep it because it is exactly what I wanted.also, some people have stated that they were missing a piece at the bottom of the stool legs.. piece (A). The instructions are pretty clear, and when you open the box, the four legs are in a bag inside of the storage space. The instructions called the legs part (A), and tell you to screw them into part (B), that is the seat of the stool. As far as I know, there are no parts missing that should be on the bottom of the legs. what they sent me matches the picture exactly. if I am missing something, I would really like it because this is a very short stool. 4I love this foot stool I love this foot stool!!! It's beautiful, came in excellent condition, was very easy to assemble. It's functional too with storage space and I've occasionally stepped on it as well to reach at higher areas and it's still intact!!! I weigh 130 pounds. The fabric covering is tapestry material, floral design on cream back ground. The cushioning is just enoug for a foot stool-not very padded but comfortable 5Kismet Having just had knee replacement, I was having some trouble getting up into my rather tall 4 poster bed. I ordered this little stool to help get me the lift I needed to get into my bed. The greatest hurdle being the mattress is latex with little (and by little I mean no) structured support in the edges of the mattress to help to scoot up and on. But, the day the stool was scheduled to be delivered, my in-home therapist suggested a new exercise to incorporate into my daily workouts. She just happened to ask if I had a tiny footstool or perhaps a wooden crate (just this height) that I could place in the center of my walker, to place the foot of the surgical leg up on to slowly and gently rock the bend of the knee while holding onto the walker for stability. I said how funny she should ask. And as she was going out the door at the end of my therapy session the delivery man was approaching the front door with my new little stool. Turns out to be my favorite and least painful of the bending exercises I do now so I do more and have gained a couple more degree's in my flexibility in just a couple days. Because it has a storage compartment and small screw on legs I wouldn't recommend it to support amount of weight for more than the moment it take me to get my lift into bed. But it has cetainly suited my needs in more ways than I imagined. And my little grandson see's it as his own personal place to sit when he visits now. 5Perfect for resting your feet while sitting and for minor storage A relative of mine was in desperate need of a footstool since they suffer from blood clots in both legs and have a tendency to sit down for long periods of time. I must say, this product is perfect for them! Installation was a breeze since you only need to hang-tighten the four (4) legs that are included. They also use it to keep minor documentation and other items in it when not easily accessible elsewhere.The only recommendation I would make is to not use this as a means of standing/sitting as stated in the product description. I myself haven't tried this, but, you may run the risk of breaking the footstool and, you may also wind up flattening the cushion part of it on top. It may be capable of supporting up to 200 lbs according to the customer Q&A, but, I still would not take any chances.Overall, I do like the general design and the fact that it has other uses than your basic ordinary footstool. My relative is completely happy that they can now rest their feet when need be due to their medical condition. 5This is the perfect size for what I wanted it for (for my ... This is the perfect size for what I wanted it for (for my dog to jump on the bed). He's still scared of it but when he gets over that I think it's more than sturdy enough to hold him up. It was super easy to assemble. All I had to do was screw the legs in the 4 areas that were provided in each corner. It has a nice space for storage so I can keep magazines and remotes in it when not in use. The only complaint I have with this is that it doesn't close flush like it should. I stacked books on top of it for days and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? 4More of a decorative piece than something to be use daily for foot rest... I'll start out by saying this is very cute...and it matched the room I was going to use it in...however, it didn't quite work for what I wanted. I needed an ottoman for my dog to use to get up and down off the bed. Unfortunately, this was just a little small for our need (13 lb maltipoo). Not so much for the jump up...but the jump down there would have been too much chance of tumbling off. Also, how the lid is made...it kinda "flaps" when she'd try to jump on it...so it kinda scared her.I was going to keep it to use as a foot rest for my chair...but, it didn't feel sturdy enough for daily use for a guy...especially if you try to push it to move it with your feet. Now, for a petite lady...this might be a good option.I will say it was super easy to put together...all you do is screw in the legs to the bottom of the stool. But just know, it doesn't screw in far and the screws are small and it's going to to partical board...and that's why I don't think it will be sturdy enough for daily use. But it's would be really nice for a decorating touch.One other downside for me...there were several flaws in the fabric...nothing major. But that, along with it's wasn't going to work for my dog and not quite sturdy enough for me to use with a chair, I returned it.I'm posting a video and some pictures to help other's decide if this is right for them. I used a water bottle to help people understand the dimensions. .Hope this helps others! 3Nice addition. This is a great step stool. My dog uses it to get in to my bed, which is a little bit too high for him. It's also great to store some small items like phone chargers or magazines to keep our bedroom tidy. It was easy to assemble and is stronger than it appears. My husband stands on it to reach the top of the closet and he weighs 220 lbs. the wood matches my furniture pretty well. I would purchase again. 4
