There is nothing quite like them. I've had 5 of these for almost 20 years and used them daily for coffee commute. There is nothing quite like them ... work great and indestructible. Only issue is they do not fit a standard cup holder ... but I got a expander cup unit and cut the sides for the handle ... works great. Highly recommended! 5Hot, cheap, stable I use travel mugs for my coffee at work because they stay hot longer and are less likely to spill when I carry them around. I purchased this mug after knocking over my previous tall, skinny mug one time too many.Pros:Coffee stays hot longer than in the skinny mugWide opening is easy to cleanStable, won't tip over easilyDishwasher and microwave safeCheapCons:Top only protects against momentary sloshing--it will leak quickly if turned upside downLeakage and dribbling occurs when the top is removed for refillsClosed-shape handle can't be hung on my pants pocket if I need both hands 4Did not live up to expectations I bought one of these earlier and was happy with it. It held over a 1 cup of coffee, and kept it reasonably warm. However, it appeared it may be leaking near the bottom, so bought a second one. I was surprised in that the seal between the snap-on top, and the main body, was not secure enough that coffee always leaked out of the area between them when trying to take a drink. No matter how many positions I placed the top lid on, it still leaked. Going to try to find a twist-on top coffee cup, and hopefully that will provide a better seal. 2Everyone asks me where I boutght this thing I like it for a reason I never thought of. I dont have cupholders in my old school car so I didnt care it was too big for them, but it stays in place around coners and everything on the car seat next to me with the nonslip pad on the bottom. Also, I live where it's very cold and I can brew a mug of this and even walking from my house to unattached garage In belw zero weather, then car to office, it keeps the coffee hot. This little coffee mug is awesome. 5Don't buy it!!! I have used this style of mug for years, but I sure do hate this one. I used it for the first time this morning and managed to dribble coffee all over the front of my T-shirt - and I mean "all over"! I will never use it again. 1Great for self and as gifts! They keep drinks hot or cold for hours. Don't tip over or slide. Love the lid closing to keep temp and drink in and critters out! Yes, lid is hard to pop apart for cleaning and removing from mug...you want it easy so it can leak and spill, I think not! Just one problem I've run into, need Hot Pink and Purple colors before Christmas, hint hint guys! Like so much I've bought four so far, for me and gifts, and plan on buying more for Christmas. 5Cheap and leaky The top leaked immediately. It is also very large and can be heavy when full. The biggest problem, however, is the lid. I purchased this for my 91 year-old father. He did not let me know that it leaked, unfortunately, or I would have had it returned. (When I finally did find this out I ordered him the "Patterson 16 oz Wide Base Travel Mug with Handle" and he is now happy with hot coffee and NO DRIPS!) 2Excellent Mug for the Price Excellent large capacity mug. The wide body is very stable and along with the cap prevents spills. I use this type of mug occasionally on a boat where there is lots of movement. The wide body combined with the non-slip rubber strip on the bottom help make this one very stable even in that environment. The insulation is foam so it will not keep drinks as hot or cold as long as one with vacuum type insulation. That's why I give this one 4 vs. 5 stars. That said, it does a good job of keeping coffee or tea hot. I live in a temperate climate so those who reside in colder areas may want a mug that will keep drinks at the desired temperature despite the cold. One thing to keep in mind is that this mug is a very good value given the features and performance. I would definitely buy another one! 4Comically Large This mug does everything the description says it does, and I should have really paid better attention to the amount of liquid it holds (20 oz!), but I must say I laughed out loud when I took it out of the box. It is very large. I was planning to use it at the office, but I think I will leave it at home to use because I imagine I must look pretty silly drinking out of it.Now, it holds a LOT of coffee and keeps it quite hot. I think I'm really going to like having it. Just not at work. I'll look for a smaller version to take to the office. 4Coffee Mug That's Great for Clumsy People Like Me! I had to order this cup because I don't find them locally any more. Used to be, the local quickie mart chain offered these, with custom imprinted skin, "Buy this mug and get refills for 50-cents" or whatever.I'm clumbsy at my desk. If something is knock-overable, I'll find a way to knock it over - usually when full of coffee. For that reason I like this mug's low center of gravity and sealed top.Not a good choice for a car mug. The wide base doesn't fit in any of the cup slots in cars. It has a pad of soft rubber on the underside, theoretically to allow it to grip the top of the dashboard and the soft rubber will keep the mug from travelling. Yeah, nothing could possibly go wrong there. I think ThermoServ makes a model(s) with slender body intended to fit auto cup holders.I think they're too expensive - but I've gotten plenty of use out of several of this model of ThermoServ mug. The plastic used is pretty tough stuff. I really like my mug! I have three.I work for a broadcasting company where one can get fired for having a container of liquid too close to the audio equipment in studio. Several of us have this type of low, squat, sealed-top mug to keep us out of trouble. 5
