    Great concept but not tough enough. I broke 2/3 of these pry bars while doing my job. The heads are easy to replace but the thin shank where the head slips over to pivot is the Achilles heel of these pry bars. I have bent them one snapped clear off and the larger one seems to be doing fine tho the handle is no longer straight it points a few degrees north. Definitely a good mechanic pry bar but not a dependable one for some one dealing in heavy machinery. 3Gear Wrench 2 Piece Adjustable Pry Bar Set The Gear Wrench 2 Piece Adjustable Pry Bar Set is made from good quality steel and both pieces have an excellent range of adjustment angles. I would have liked a set with larger sizes, but they were not offered.The small bar is very cute but I'm not sure such a small bar has much utility. So far I haven't found a job for it, although it is adequately strong.The larger bar is good for many small to average jobs, but really not as large as I would have liked. For really heavy jobs I will have to use a longer conventional pry bar, because this one is too small to provide the leverage I need, and lacks the length to reach and manipulate certain jobs safely. 4These are good pry bars to have but if you order them ... These are good pry bars to have but if you order them make sure you put lock tight on both of the screws on each bar and occasionally check that they are tight, they will fall out. Or just tack weld them in like the factory should have.Still nice pry bars 4Okay for home DIY use Bought this set to try out as I wasn't really sure I would have a use for an indexable pry bar. The fix and finish was pretty poor but on average for Chinese made. They are however very handy. The smaller one works well as a seal puller and hooking/pulling on stuff. The larger one's head stripped out in the first week of use. Could try to warranty it but really not worth the hassle, just bought a different brand off the tool truck. For at home I'm sure they would last a long while and be useful but they're not up to par for use in an industrial/professional setting. 3On the fence about spending this much money on pry bars? It's hard to justify spending this much money on pry bars but you won't regret it. I'm a backyard mechanic as a hobby and for some extra cash and have bought quite a few GearWrench tools. They are very good quality for a decent price. I have cheap harbor freight tools all the way up to some snap on. Spend a little extra on these and you won't regret it. They will last a long long time. 5Use these daily Couldn't ask for a better product several other technicians I work with have bought the Snap-on version for a hell of a lot more money almost every one of them tell me they wish they would have just bought these they do the same job work just as well and they're comfortable to use. At least you're not extremely large this is a smaller set look at the sizes but great for most of your Automotive and smaller industrial needs 5Worth every penny I bought these tools due to the fact I work on cars and trains and needed a tough flexible tool. These tools can be extremely versatile and hammered on. I'm probably going to buy another set to keep at home. 5good, until they re not. Was using this prybar set for a few short weeks. I do a lot of engine rebuilding and resealing for a Dealership. I need to pry off essentially flat surface covers and oil pans secured by rtv. Having all the different angles of attack are a great advantage. Unfortunately, the ratching mechanism is cheap and held together with a tiny machine screw with seems like anaerobic glue. The screw just snaps off and prices go flying so small you ll never find again.Luckily there s two in the set and scavanged the other small bar. But, that broke weeks after that.If they fix that these would be great. They sit dead in My prybar drawer. 1Not designed for abuse I have and will always love Gearwrench products, but this kit may need to go back to the drawing board. The two smallest prybars aren't bad and still have yet to let me down. they are built with good sharp tips that have yet to round or break. However, the longest prybar needs some tweaking. The first use I had the longest bar attempting to remove a hydraulic cylinder pin and the teeth stripped almost immediately. Had my hands been near anything I would have busted all my knuckles. If you are doing anything more than removing bearings or nails you need to get the next size up. Good quality though 4used the large one a few weeks and it fell ... used the large one a few weeks and it fell apart and the pieces were lost at that point. Tried to return but too difficult so I'm stuck with it despite a lifetime warranty. 1
