Not 100% qulity like pictures I got my dishes set yesterday.The quality is not 100% good and different from the pictures. I rather bought blue than brown because of brown color looks darker than blue. However, the blue one is still darker than the picture. I was a little disappointed that. There was small scratch all over the bowl. And the blue streak looking not evenly marked all over the plates. (looks not clean at all) The dark brown or black dots looks like a mold and looks very cheap. Anyway ill keep this because i dont want to spent my money to send over them again. Next time i go for looking more review and purchasing these items. By the way, the amazon shipping was amazing, very fast and nothing was damaged. 2Love this dish set! The colors on this set are rich and deep -- absolutely beautiful! We were pleasantly surprised that the bowls and mugs are nice and large -- not the usual little 8oz things that come with dish sets, these are a good 16oz size. We were also pleased to see that the back side of the plates are the same lovely reddish-brown color as the bowls (see uploaded pictures).The only caution I would give is that the surface of the plates and the exterior of the mugs is not a light beige like what is shown in Amazon's product picture. The true color is more like taupe (shown in my uploaded pictures). I'd still recommend this set. We are fully satisfied, and the dishes look absolutely beautiful.I'm a little nervous about the other reviews that say that the plates and mug handles cracked or broke after dishwashing. I'll keep an eye out for that and will update this review if we have the same problem.Update on 3/4/19: The dishes have held up really well with daily use & regular dishwasher cleanings. The handles have broken off of 2 of the mugs, but I'm still so happy with the set that I'd rather just purchase an extra one to use for replacements or epoxy the handles back on. 5Nice Design I love the color scheme and design of these dishes, they make a beautiful place setting at the table. They go well with my mission style home. They are not as hefty as I was expecting from stoneware. They seem to chip easily. After the first week of use I already had a couple chips from just putting them in the sink with other dishes. I've had other stoneware in the past and never had an issue. The dishes are large and the dinner plates could almost serve as a platter because they are so large. I have to stagger them in the dishwasher and tip them so they fit under the water dispenser. Overall they are nice dishes, I just wish they were built stronger. 3Amazing set to match our kitchen!!!! Surprised wife with new dinnerware tonight. Loaded it in dishwasher and told her it was her turn to empty it. Amazon did a great job shipping fast and safely. I was amazed no piece arrived broken or chipped. Ordered two sets so we had eight place settings. Colors and designs matched our kitchen back splash perfectly. It s almost like we had these custom made! Wife was extremely satisfied as was I. I called the company and was told that this is expected in a glaze finish and there is nothing they can do. 1 year of use is what can be expected. I told them that this should be stated in description of item. 1GREAT DISHES! I have had these dishes for 3 years. I love them. They have not broken or chipped in 3 years. The colors are as true and bright as the picture. Great! 5Upon opening the box it was clear we did not choose wisely. We re in a rural area about 40-miles from the nearest city and 150-miles from the next one. The stores locally are miniature versions of those we had in Philly and South Jersey and all look like their merchandise came off the same truck. The mall has lost Macy s & Sears and that leaves a single floor Penney s with no Home section. The remaining choices are stores like Target and the selections are minimal at best. The largest store in the area had about the square footage half of one floor or a 10-story Macy s in Philly. Taking a 150-mile ride to the next and much larger city for something like dishes would cost more in gas than the dishes. All that said, buying online is pretty much our only option so we relied on the pics and description for this one. The first pic shows a bright set with an almost white plate surface and that s wrong because these are a pale brown and the other pics are more correct. The mugs are huge at about 16-ounces and are more like soup bowls with a handle or about the size of a 2-cup measuring cup. My large coffee mugs hit the center on my nose and these mugs hit the middle of my forehead so they re pretty much useless for a cup of morning java. We really only needed soup bowls but they were about 25-bucks for a set of four so we decided to get this set for about twice the cost of bowls alone. The patterns are also much duller than the pics so it s pretty much a bland looking setting of dark brown dishes. I was under the impression the eating surface would be almost white and I d prefer not to have a glazed color but I m stuck with them now. The bowls are great so that s a plus though the bottoms are small and they are deep so getting the last bit on the bottom takes a little more work and there s no chance of licking up anything. Buying this type of an item sight unseen is always a crap shoot but, for the price, you pay your money and take your chances. I relied too much on that first pic because it supported my decision more than the others which I discounted as not being properly lit for the pics so they were probably lighter than they looked and that was wrong so ignore the first pic because that s not what they look like. There is nothing shiny or glossy in what I received and the cups are just too big and noting the capacity would have helped because they do not look so large compared to the plates in the pics. I missed the spot down the page under From the manufacturer where you could click on a piece from the set and see the sizes and it does beg the question of what use is a 16-ounce mug in a dinnerware set. The mosaics are also not very well done and after 2-days of use we re looking for a new set of dishes. The plate surfaces are not smooth and several bowls have chips in the exterior glazing that appear to be from manufacturing and not have being banged. Everything in this set is very thick and heavy so handling them without a little banging around isn t easy. We recently swapped out our cast iron kitchen sink for a stainless steel and since we were losing dishes to that old sink I wouldn t recommend this set if your sink is like our old one. That said, this is probably about as good of a set that you re going to find in the under 50-bucks range but we just happen to not like them for the reasons stated above. I don t know how this set received over 500 5-star reviews but if you ve ever had a good dinnerware set this pales in comparison. 2Beautiful dishes. I spent a long time searching for ... Beautiful dishes.BUT----Be wary----- I spent a long time searching for the right set till i found these and loved them, love the colors and pattern, Only one major problem with item. 8 of 12 dinner plates are warped and rock on the table as does 3 of the lunch plates, return through amazon is over...Now what to do...Don't follow link above to Gibson, it takes you to Gibson Guitars....No warranty after 30 days.... 3Get ready for chips and breaks! Purchased two sets to replace a 20 year old set that we had very little issues with. This set is VERY fragile. After 30 days of use we are minus 2 coffee cups, 2 bowls, and 2 large plates. These are the items we use most. All items that we had to throw out broke due to normal handling and use. All dinnerware is very slippery when washing or wet. Used our dishwasher most of the time to clean and had a cup and a bowl get chipped while being cleaned in the dishwasher. Just doesn t seem like these were made right from the beginning. Just not durable at all and we are not rough at all with our dinnerware. And no kids in house. 1Beautiful dishes but not consistent. These are some of the most beautiful dishes I have come across in my humble opinion. The only problem is that I bought 2 sets because I like the first set so much and the second set was great and matched perfectly with the first set. So I decided to buy a third set just in case I have broken dishes along the way or throughout the years. The third set did not match very well with the second and first set. The small plates and large plates in the third-set are even lighter in weight and thinner. The bowls are much darker and the details are not as great on this set as the first and second set. You can easily spot this third set among the first two sets like bootleg little imposters. I'm not sure if it makes a difference because of the time span but the first two sets that I bought I have had for about 8 months and the third set I just recently bought. Aside from the inconsistencies they are beautiful and well-made dishes and I have actually had a few comments on these dishes so far. 4
