    Perfect Size We install these in our work trucks. after doing this for many years we have found this one. it takes up minimal space. screw right to the floor board in a tucked away are. 4Works like a champ. This unit works great and fit right in the close quarters of the cubicle of the 5th wheel. 5Good inverter for the cost. This is a good inverter for the money, but I have bought a pure sine wave which was needed for my remote camera system which required cleaner power to operate correctly. If you don't any loads that are sensitive, it is a great unit. 4Four Stars This is my second one - well made unit- made in Taiwan not China. 4Great inverter Shipping was fast and packaging was good as well. I have had several inverters and Go Power has really great inverters. I use this to power a 42 inch LCD T.V, direct T.V. box, laptop and a couple of lights all at the same time with no problems. I also have a Go Power 3000 watt 12 volt pure sine wave inverter and it works great and has for over a year now. Go Power is top notch and they have great customer service too. 5came broken couldnt get this thing to work. i have used a few different inverters before and this thing didnt work at all. didnt have time to try and return it. i would recomend spending more money and getting something better 1small lightweight 300 watts with simple trouble free connections and the same controls i have on my 1000-12 go power only four stars because i did not use it. i got it for about $40 and planned to install it when mu 1000 go power pure sine wave one blew black smoke and sparks after a decade or so.then i found the old one worked fine when i fixed a chewed wire to the battery. BUT i have to say this is a compact light weight unit that is really great for camping. most electronics do not need pure sine wave to run well. i car camp with led lights but if i wanted more serious power this would be it since watching movies or computing in the car is not great even with a half dozen triple power laptop batteries. with a coiple golf cart batteries and small solar panel you could keep in a camp going with video and internet indefinitely. 4My office is my SUV My office is my SUV and I needed good dependable power. One note, don't even try to use it through a cigarette lighter or 12v power outlet, just beeps and shuts down wen loaded with just 90 watts. I wired it directly to my battery and then go through a surge protector and it works great. Watch out for killing your battery though. 5Good power, but fan runs all the time I needed a small inverter on which the fan only ran when under load. Despite previous answers to this question, I can vouch that the fan works all the time, whether the device is under load or not....this is not what I wanted.I can't speak to the longevity of this device, but it does produce power from my small solar setup and seems to do it well. Unfortunately, it looks like I'll need to go another direction to find an inverter that has a variable speed fan, or a fan that only runs when under load. 4Drycamper's dream I purchased this inverter to power my iMac when dry camping in my Airstream (dry camping is camping with no electricity or water) I have a generator but I do not want to run it every time I need to use my iMac so the inverter is the hot ticket, allowing me to use the motorhome's 12 volt batteries to power my computer. This is the only inverter I have ever owned so I can't really compare it to anything but I can tell you it gets the job done. I have used it to power my iMac and charge my MacBook simultaneously, I've used it to power a coffee maker and a few other small appliances.Updated 5/13/2014 I have owned this inverter for a little over three years now and still it never fails to do it's job. I used it this past weekend during a short power outage and it still works perfectly. It irritates my neighbors when they see my iMac playing video and their power is out. I must say that I get a little bit of pleasure from that. 5
