Great lighting for a bedroom. Classy and great source of light These are perfect for the master bedroom. Our bed is very high off the ground and any lamp on a normal end table was not high enough to provide sufficient light while we were reading. These are Beautiful and the fact that they use three way bulbs provide more than enough light for our needs. And now our end tables are clear of The lamps so they seem to be less cluttered. Installation was fairly easy and customer service was responsive. 4Happy customer. Very happy with this lamp. I bought it as a reading lamp to place over the futon in my home office. It was easy to put up (I did it myself)...just needed a drill and a screwdriver. It looks great and casts a nice soft light. It goes great with my country decor. 5An installation glitch, but ultimately satisfaction This lamp replaced an identical wall-mounted, plug-in swing arm lamp that quit connecting. The seller asked for feedback on a wall sconce, so there was some mixup along the way. The lamp arrived a day earlier than I expected, which was nice, since the lamp was my bedside lamp that I used frequently during the night. The wall bracket had to be fastened to the wall with screws; my wall was wood, so I didn't have to use the wall anchors they provided. I couldn't screw two of the screws all the way in, because the screw heads were reamed out by the drill I used. As I leaned on the drill trying to get the last two screws down. I thought about how difficult it was a going to be to remove those screws when the time came. It would be helpful to use screws that were little shorter, and with bigger heads (maybe those hybrid flat head/Phillips types), so they aren't as likely to get stripped out. The seller said they intentionally made the swing arm joint tight so that it wouldn't smack the installer in the face, and this was true of the middle hinge. The hinge at the wall plate was tighter than the middle hinge, to the point that I was afraid off damaging it trying to move it. Even with the tight hinges, I had trouble getting the lamp level. Despite these difficulties, I am quite happy with it. It's the right lamp for that spot. 4Nice addition to the bedroom. Just right. They seem to have solved the tight swing by adding some lubricant, which needs to be "worked in" by you (just swing the arm a few times back and forth). Nice price for a nice set. Not off-the-charts quality, but at ~$45 per, how can you go wrong. I would suggest that other's put it more towards the edge of their beds (if you're using it as a bed reading light), rather than trying to have the arms reach each other in the center of the bed, as it is plenty of light. (ie: it's been said that by the time you reach 60 years of age, you need about 100 watts to read by, and these 3-ways are 50/100/150, so you'll be set up to read forever...lol). FYI though, the wire covers do NOT reach to the floor, so while it works fine behind a bed (or, I imagine, behind a chair), it would not work if you're not hiding the bottom part of the wire behind furniture. Thus, check your measurements. 5Very Good Shades and Elegant! I tried to get as close-up as I could on the shades to show that they are not flimsy at all. I don t understand the reviewer, for example, who said the shades were like paper?!! Not the case at all. They are pretty typical shade density. Well-made.The company sent an email ahead of time with a pdf copy of the instructions and instructions on how to loosen the arm when we first took it out of the box. It s relatively stiff because it has to be. You don t want anything swinging away from you when you want to read.We purchased 3-way Daylight LED bulbs from Home Depot that are supposed to last 13 years. You may want more of a warm light than a reading light. The swing arms work really well. So much better to have wall mounted lamps rather than use up space on the night tables.According to my husband they were easy to mount once he went over the instructions a couple of times and looked at the mount. In other words, it wasn t clear coming out of the box at first. He had to think about it.In the photos we taped up the spot where the headboard is getting attached to the wall. We had to really think about where the lamps would go in relation to the night tables and headboard. In the end we chose to center the lamps over the night tables, line the top of the rectangular panel to the top line of the headboard, and space them 1 1/2 inches away from each side of the headboard. They look nice and symmetrical.They are built well, including the shades. We are very happy with these elegant lamps. 5Good customer service I initially liked the lamp (still like the look) but then I bought a 3way bulb and found it doesn't work. I thought I could live with that. But now I have taken the lamp down 4times to try to fix the arm. It was so stiff that it pulled the bolt loose that attached the arm to the faceplate. I took it down and worked the arm back and forth several times to loosen it up twice. The 3rd time I also used wd40, but again the bolt came loose. So now I'm just waiting for it to fail again.The company sent a new arm and now I'm very pleased with the lamp. It is not pulling loose and the 3way works now! Their customer service is excellent. 5Great value for the price. Great lamp for the price... Everything arrived nicely packaged with no missing or damaged parts. Directions are clear and easy to follow. Installation was essentially a breeze after finding a wall stud, lamp seems very secure to the wall plate. Swing arm adjusts smoothly and stays where you put it. Bulb socket is low quality but should be fine if you're only removing the bulb for normal replacement (LED bulb should last longer than the lamp). Lamp shade is nicer than expected, color is extremely nice with the light on or off. Giving it 4 stars because it takes a little finessing before the shade sits level and because the power knob is unusually short, every so often it makes it slightly difficult to power on and off if you're not looking. Overall I'm extremely happy with my purchase!! 4You are super excited to get new Lighting in her bedroom over ... You are super excited to get new Lighting in her bedroom over Memorial Day weekend. Ordered these right in time and they arrive today. We just open the boxes up to inspect and they're very well packaged. Our excitement was Rising, then we got some of the packaging off and we noticed that one of the lamps was broken at the Joint where it would pull out and extend the arm. It was her disappointment that we have to return them and wait an extended period of time before we can take them to the store so that we can get a new one in exchange. Gave it 2 stars because the packaging was great and they do look amazing and I can't wait to get replacements, then if we get them and they are unbroken and look just as good we might be able to increase the Stars at least a 4. I hope we can because he's are exactly what we've been looking for and for a great price! 2Wonderful lamp! I am so so happy with my choice of lamp for the purpose I needed it! This lamp was installed on the side of a shelf that sits on my computer desk. I needed a light above my computer work area and this has more than met my needs. It swings out of the way when I need it to or stays above my work area. I chose not to use the cord cover because it is not seen from the front of the desk. Very very happy with my purchase! 5but I would not recommend this unit "TO RETURN...? OR ,NOT TO RETURN...? That is the question....First: I will return NOTHING unless it is over $50.00....!! And, this unit is a "Piece of junk...!!" I needed a pivot lamp, yesterday..!! But, when the unit arrived, the pivot points would not work...! Nothing pivoted as designed....!! So, I had to take the unit to a local machine shop and have them "modify" the lamp's pivot points to make the unit work, as designed.It's installed and works, as designed, but I would not recommend this unit. I would go to Home Depot and buy a like model. 1
