    so I made my own and it worked fine. Just print it on regular 8 Template Attached.Kohler's website doesn't have a template and call center support staff said they couldn't send me a template (I don't think one exists even though the instructions refer to a template), so I made my own and it worked fine. Just print it on regular 8.5 x 11" paper. 4Its beautiful Its bizzare to wax lyrical about a toilet roll holder but ITS SO PRETTY !!!!!! we redid the whole bathroom and got all the matching pieced they are beautiful, I see this the most because its highly visible by the toilet and every time I sit down I admire this :) its really lovely.Its actually super easy to use, ok this sounds silly they are all the same but my last one the snappy middle thing could be a slippery pain lol nothing terrible but honestly this is much easier to handle all around, its solid and smooth and IT LOOKS SO PRETTY. I recommend this whole set. 5Quality Product The dispenser has substantial quality parts. There appear to be cast metal mounts that are screwed into the wall (2 screws apiece, with provision to trim the angle: vertical placement of the screws should be as precise as you can get - the relative horizontal position of top/bottom screws can sustain a little slop) The polished metal ends are captured on the cast mountings with Allen head set screws and the polished metal tube (2 pics, spring loaded) snaps in between the ends. There are also large phillips head screws holding the mounts into the polished pieces. A nice assembly. I don't have any life data on the finish - but the fit and finish are fine. The only plastic parts were the supplied inserts (2 types for tile or drywall). Good product. 5Wrong Item? I ordered this Kohler toilet paper holder from Amazon and the description said "pivoting post" which means that the post pivots up and allows the paper to be put on and then pivots back horizontal. Well...I received the standard spring loaded bar type instead. I would have definitely sent back but I needed to install for move in. No, I am not too happy because I paid for the elite style. The units (bought two for new house) are very good quality and easy to install but that didn't compensate for the wrong item sent. 2The spring mechanism seems off The spool that the TP sets on seems loose and wobbly....I think ours is defective we bought all new hardware from a Kohler which we loved the quality but this was disappointing 1Great! Kohler does a nice job with this one.Pros:The finish is outstanding.Solid feeling.Looks good against white marble tile.Don't see finger smudgesCons:It seems bulkyFinish will show dried water residue (more to do with finish type than craftsmanship)Installation mistakes can be made if you don't follow the instructions exactly. 5I didn't receive a template and the instructions were horrible. I can not recommend Kohler because of my recent problems. /Users/matthewwcrabtree/Desktop/Kohler Tissue holder nightmare.webarchive 1Solid implementation of a simple thing It's hard to find decently made anything anymore, and I didn't have the time to read 8000 reviews, so I just went with the Kohler branded option. The nice things about this:1) Actual metal used, including for the little spring bar that the roll sits on (although admittedly the spring bar itself is very light gauge)2) Thoughtful use of wide bases to hide any damage done by the screws that hold this to the wall (in my case, I used better wall mounting hardware behind it, and the result is that the plaster and paint "curdled" a bit, but this was easily hidden behind the extra wide decorative bases)3) Relatively intelligent modular design (not that this matters to the buyer) - but since I have several items from this collection, I can see how the manufacturing works and how they combine various basic pieces to make these things, and there is some nice design in there4) Intelligent base cover tighteners - designed to go on in only one way, and tightening in such a way that they easily go flush to the wall.Again, none of this is rocket science, and these are over-priced (you're paying for the Kohler brand and the knowledge that you won't throw it away in disgust when you receive it).Note: The little plastic wall anchors that are included are fine if you never plan to use the thing, but otherwise you should use something more like this: http://smile.amazon.com/Drilling-Drywall-Anchors-Phillip-Screws/dp/B00NP5TT6S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1456326348&sr=8-1&keywords=E-Z+Ancor+Stud 5Kohler quality is outstanding. It's a Kohler; not much else to say. Their quality control is amazing. The chroming is what I would call "creamy" and is evenly coated. Assembly was simple using the supplied wall template. I had to use drywall anchors because I wasn't lucky enough to hit beams, but it's still rock solid against the wall. The builder of this new house didn't care that the bathroom hardware was mismatched, so I've been changing toilet paper dispensers and towel bars myself. The Devonshire style of the toilet paper dispenser is a perfect match for the dual handle faucet on the sink. 5Great and Stylish The product arrived in good condition. It appeared to be a sturdier product than others I ve bought in big box stores. Install was easy with a laser level using the markings on the back of the mounting brackets and the included Allen wrench. It looks magnificent, has held up to the moisture of my main bath, and does it s job of dispensing toilet paper well. 5
