Nice Stand For the Money Came on time. Nice Stan's, had ordered the headboard as well. As stated by others very sturdy. This maker is part of Flexsteel. I like their products, so I bought this. I like everything about it but the draw bottom. Not wood, more like a very thin particleboard. That's why not 5 star. Excellent Customer Service. 4The item was labeled Used- Like New. But The item was labeled Used- Like New. But, it has major defects.1- Pieces are not the same color2- There is a defect on piece.Also, seems there is a problem with the drawer. I spent long time to get it closed properly per the instructions and still not closed as it should be.I give it two stars only because it is good wood but unfortunately defected rather not as described. 2Decent nightstand Nothing wrong with this. I was slightly disappointed that it's about two inches shorter than my other nightstand - which is perfect height for my bed. It's not a big deal but would have been nice if it was slightly taller. It's nice to screw on a panel of wood to the back than have a piece of cardboard stapled on. Unfortunately, some of the screws didn't work perfectly so marred the inside slightly - nothing you would notice. Maybe if I had tried it different ways before starting to screw it in? 4Quality nightstand Very nice quality, and a beautiful complement to the bed. The assembly took my husband about 90 minutes per nightstand--there were a LOT of screws. :) But it was not difficult, and they are good pieces of furniture--because they are solid wood, they don't feel cheap like a lot of particleboard or MDF furniture does. 5High End Nice Furniture Really nice, high end look of these Lafayette furniture. Putting together wasn't as difficult as it seems.However, the only NEGATIVE aspect of these night stands and this is more maybe for the manufacturer, please make sure these pieces are not damaged. Mine has a scratch on top of the nightstand but because my husband is in Construction he says we can apply some sort of polish.Then another night stand has a minor damage from the inside.So, besides the minor damages - beautiful night stands.And because we put these together, I am not about to send them back. No way! I'll deal with those minor damages. 4Perfect night stands These come in a box and must be assembled. My husband laid out all the pieces in the order he needed them. It took about the length of a movie to assemble two. The drawers glide so nicely, the table tops are big enough to hold a lamp, remotes, a lap top and still have room for a bottle of water. Very sturdy, elegant, and useful. How I lived so many years with out a proper night stand I do not know! 5Pleased but a Flaw Could Have Spelled Trouble Nice for the price! This kit is well designed and well executed. A flaw that was minor to me may have been major for someone else so I withheld a star for that.First the good: Assembly for my copy was simple and straight forward with an assembly plan that was perfect. Packaging was excellent and probably accounted for the excellent condition of its contents on arrival. All components were clearly labeled including all the hardware and there was one extra item of fastening hardware in each bag. Everything fit nicely together to produce a nightstand with the appearance of quality. It is of course not a high quality piece (no fancy joinery, laminated, etc.) but then that wasn't expected for the price. The drawer slides nicely on preinstalled metal sliders. Top and sides were well finished and without noticeable blemishes or scratches. I am very pleased with this piece of furniture.Cons: One of the four legs (you could call them feet) had two (of four total) defective countersunk holes that prevented the screws from penetrating the leg far enough to reach the body of the nightstand so I had to do some adjusting with my electric drill. This would have been a show stopper for many customers so for that flaw I dropped a star from my rating. The price is a little high at $150 considering everything but it is exactly what I was looking for and could find anywhere else but Amazon. 4Beautiful Design and Well Constructed for Price Context: My wife and I have never owned a real bedroom set. We have always had other financial responsibilities to take care of, so we've only ever had cheap solutions. We were using tray-tables as nightstands (so trashy). We got tired of it and decided to upgrade!Summary: After thoroughly researching styles, price, and overall quality vs. cost, we arrived at this bedroom set. It was stylish, in our price range, and had great reviews. I can confirm that this furniture is worth every penny. Is it heirloom furniture that I will pass down to my kids some day? No. Is it functional, beautiful, and a huge upgrade for us? Most definitely!Pros+ Simple to assemble. My wife and I did this in less than an hour+ Beautiful. the colors and the craftsmanship are elegant and simplistic. We love walking into our bedroom at the end of the day to see this furniture+ Fairly-priced. We looked at furniture stores, discount stores (Big Lots, etc.), and although we found some decent stuff, after receiving this, it is way nicer than any of the stuff we saw in stores for budget stuff+Packaged VERY WELL. Like, no damage to anything and it all was perfectly intact internally, despite some damage to the exterior boxes+Solid wood piecesCons-The reason for the star deduction is because it does damage easily. The lightest bump against something harder will yield damage. I highly recommend finding a marker or touch-up stick that matches. Over time, it will definitely show damage.Final Thoughts: This is far superior to nothing at all. We are very pleased and hope that some day (at least 10 years from now), when we move or remodel our home, we can do a full renovation and afford new, high-quality furniture. Until then, this is a very modestly priced, effective, and beautiful piece of furniture. I highly recommend!! 4Beautiful design with easy assembly Beautiful design and easy to assemble. Good size for book storage or other items. Drawer is just the right size for holding those little things you need to keep by your bed but don't necessarily want on the top in the open.
