Keeps your hot drink hot, your cold drink cold, and it never leaks These bottles are great! I just ordered a 2nd one.The first one replaced my plastic water bottle. Re-used plastic does avoid putting a gazillion more plastic bottles into the landfills or waterways, but hey, what about those non-tasty chemicals leaching from the plastic? As I used this little guy (12 oz is just the right size), I discovered there were other plusses, some of which had been missing in regular thermos bottles:*It keeps hot liquids hot a *really* long time--through-out a 12 hour work-day*The bottle doesn't weigh much*It doesn't spill or leak liquid at all*It comes in pretty colors. The 1st was a red one, the 2nd is green, so I can color-code hot and cold*The outside doesn't sweat or feel hot or cold to the touch 5bottle looks just as pictured and feels very sturdy. I haven't used it yet but you can ... bottle looks just as pictured and feels very sturdy.I haven't used it yet but you can tell the insulating aspect will work to prevent condensation from cold liquids on the outside.I'm hoping it does the same for hot and that it doesn't impact the ability to hold it when full of tea or coffee.great design, inside and out!a couple of months after later, an observation:i am used to traveling and using sig bottles from switzerland. this bottle has performed great but i have not taken it overseas yet for two reasons:1) when its side gets knocked a little, you can hear the noise reverberate inside, between the double walls that work to keep drinks insulated. it makes me a little nervous that under rough and tumble activities, it might not hold up so well, but again, i have not verified this so take my commentary with a grain of salt.2) if you are used to sig bottles, the lip of the water bottle mouth feels a little narrower/sharper than the rounded ones sig produces. this might be an issue for people trying to use these bottles on the go and while moving (i.e. on buses or transport.)i have used the bottle to my complete satisfaction here at home. the next step will be taking it overseas and seeing how it holds up being knocked around hanging off packs by carabiners, etc. 4***********GREAT FOR SODA!!!************** Ok all you soda lovers, I searched high and low for a replacement for my Thermos Nissan brand soda thermos and this one qualifies. Most of Laken's product descriptions do mention "Extremely durable, easy to carry, drink and clean, tight closure (even for carbonated drinks)" but you really have to be looking for it. I wish it was in the description to make it easier to find. I have had soda in the bottle for over 24 hours and it stays cold and doesn't explode or give you a blast of soda when you open the top.If you use ice as they recommend to keep it colder longer, be prepared for the soda to be less bubbly. I found if I filled the thermos with ice (or ice water) for some time in advance (maybe 20 minutes or longer if you can), then pour the contents out, the soda can stay colder longer also. I believe they recommend this method anyway. I've seen both hot and cold thermos instructions say this.Anyway, the point is, it seems that Laken products can indeed keep soda in them, just make sure you look for the phrase, "tight closure (even for carbonated drinks)". 5One happy customer! This water bottle is unbelievable. It works so well it's hard for me to imagine how it can keep water so cold for so long. I filled it up with 75% water and the rest with ice. I've been testing it out for the last 3 days by keeping it in my hot car and sipping on it to and from work. After the 3rd day there is still ice in it! I haven't tried hot liquids yet, but I have a feeling it will work great with those too. I love, love, love this product and highly recommend it. And as usual Amazon continues to give great service. 5Quality bottle, reasonable price, not made in China The bottle is great quality at a reasonable price. Hold cold or warm temps well as does any vacuum insulated stainless bottle. The smaller neck is easier to drink out of and it fits the long skinny ice cubes from our residential ice maker, but it may have problems fitting bigger cubes of ice. The wide mouth obviously fits bigger pieces of ice but you have to carefully drink or you could end up wearing some of your drink. The powder coating holds up fine but the smaller ones that the kids use have dented as they get dropped out of the backpacks often. The small mouth top can separate in two pieces of its dropped hard enough on the cap but you can pop it back together. Also it's the only stainless bottle I'm aware of that's not made in China, these are made in Spain. 5Great quality for the price. For the price this is a great bottle. Not made in China actually made in Spain. They truly keep the product cold for a long time. I try not to use hot beverages in it because whatever you put in smells like it for days. Rinse every night because of the small opening doesn't allow much air. I usually spray vinegar and shake every night. This is a great bottle that is much healthier than using anything plastic and can take some pounding. 5Good bottle Found a metal bottle that isn't made in China. Why can't we make these in the states? Good bottle made in Spain. The metal is this however. I dropped it and it dented easily. Still it is not made in China. 4This is the one! This is a great water bottle! Got it for our daughter to use at school and soccer practice. What I really liked right off is the outer finish. It's textured and won't easily slip out of the hand and no matter how cold or hot the beverage is the bottle remains room temperature to the touch. My daughter loves that part as well. No more cold hands! We have already ordered another for our son.Update: the other one came and just like the first one it is of good quality and will last for many years. Our son is almost 4 and he can work the cap and tighten it enough to keep it from leaking. The 12oz size is perfect and a good size for him. Bought it to help incourage him to drink more water and it is already working. Looking into other products from this company as they still make high quality items and im gkad to support any company not making items in China! 5Made in China, just decorated in Spain. The company advertises that the bottles are made in Spain but in fact they are made in China, then decorated in Spain. I think that is false advertising and I would not have purchased this bottle if I had known this. I was looking for a stainless steel bottle that was NOT made in China and I was willing to pay extra for that. But this is not it.Otherwise the bottle is fine. It keeps beverages hot or cold and I like the small opening because otherwise I would spill. If you like ice cubes you might not like this so much because only skinny ice cubes fit. 1It is easy for them to open and close the bottle We ordered a pink water bottle for my 9-year-old's lunch box last year. After a few weeks, we ordered a black bottle for our kindergartener. It is easy for them to open and close the bottle. The bottles have only leaked once, and that was because my little guy forgot to spin the top to close it all the way - the problem was user error, not a defect in the product. Both water bottles lasted throughout the school year and got lots of use over the summer. They are still going strong.This water bottle does not affect the taste of the beverages, and the insulation keeps drinks warm or cold without sweating all over the lunch box. 5
