    Killer grit! Outstanding grit. Beats the ceramic by miles! 5A must have for sharp knives.I have had the Lansky sharpening set for many years now and finally wore it out. Combined with expected longevity, it makes this hone just perfect.5Fastputting on an edge. Result is a little course without further honing, but just right for general cutting duties. This is now my go-to stone in by Lansky box.5Sharpens quicklyThis medium diamond hone took about 10% of the time to reprofile an edge compared to the roughest standard stone that comes with the lansky sharpening system. I am pleasantly surprised.It is true that it leaves small scratches instead of polishing smoothly like more traditional stones, but it isn't a big deal. Touching up with a ceramic stone is easy and fast if you care about aesthetics.5Good stuffCuts much better than stone and does not wear down.4MeReplacement for worn out stones5Not as Even as a Stone, but Cuts BetterWhile the grit isn t as even as a stone, it cuts much way better and removes metal way faster. The only downside to the grit not being even is when it comes time to polish your edge, it becomes difficult to rid the previous grit lines. Other than that, if you have knives in M390/204P/20CV, S90V, S110V, or other high carbide blades, these stones are a blessing to have.5Much quicker with the diamond hones!!!I've been using Lansky's sharpening kit for at least 20 years and love it. It was time to replace the hones so I tried the medium and fine and am amazed at the fewer amount of strokes it takes to resharpen blades with the diamond hones. I believe these hones are well worth the price and plan to replace the other two soon!5Okay Not a big step up from their regular stones 4Good Hone for hard blades Diamond hones are the way to go. For a little extra, you don't get a dished out area like on a regular stone after repeated use. 5Quality iffy I am not sure if this is an authentic product or possibly a manufacturing inconsistency. It sharpened my first blade in m390 perfectly, after that it took a steep decline on sharpening capacity. I attempted to clear metal particles with toothbrush and it didn't improve sharpening. 3these eventually wear out if you sharpen a lot of knivesThe plastic on the holder for my medium diamond stone in my Lansky kit cracked and would no longer hold the alignment rod securely. Had to get this as a replacement. The system works great but I wish the original had been more durable and I will probably eventually wish this one was more durable.5
