Customer Reviews
Buy and install this if you like cheap, flimsy plastic construction and leaky connectors.
I was enthusiastic about purchasing this as the new sink in my bathroom was slightly offset from the old one, and rather than have a plumber come in and hook up a new drain this looked like the perfect solution. On paper it IS perfect; the flexi-tube drain connector accommodates a pretty wide offset range and all the fittings are standard sizes so no issues there. In execution, this thing sucks.First, it's made of REALLY flimsy plastic. I'm not talking about just the flexi-tube part; the whole thing is really flimsy. With even a small amount of pressure you can start to crush it. Twist too hard at the wrong place and it's as good as broken. The flexi-tube part is REALLY REALLY flimsy and I'm sure if I left this trap in place I could very easily see it cracking and splitting within months. There are three washer-and-wingnut combinations; one goes from the top of the flexi-tube to your sink drain, another connects the bottom of the flexi-tube to the curved trap piece, and the third connects the other end of the trap piece to the wall drain part. Each one has a nylon "washer" which is somehow supposed to stay in place as you tighten the nut. The problem is, because the thing is so thin and flexible the "washers" are constantly jumping around in the tubes every time you try to apply any pressure to the wing nuts so they wind up NEVER sealing right so invariably the thing leaks. And I know this isn't just me; when I finally gave up on this thing and had a plumber come out and fix the sink, I asked him to try and install this properly and he couldn't do it either. I am not exaggerating when I say that I screwed around with this thing for at least an hour or two, and a professional plumber did the same for another 15-30 minutes, and neither of us could make a seal good enough to be completely watertight. It leaked EVERY TIME.I have chosen to take this as a learning lesson and just throw it away, rather than seek a refund. This piece has absolutely no redeeming qualities other than to be a clever idea, but that's all it will ever be a clever idea. This is not suitable as a plumbing repair piece.
1P-trap
Currently, this p-trap is not in use. The projects before it was able to alleviate this p-trap having to have to be used. So far, so good.
