3 Month OldI bought this because we decided to forgo the infant car seat. So we needed something besides a wrap to be able to set baby in while shopping. This has turned out to be a nice little purchase, he can now sit up as well as lie down. The pillows are a nice cushion and they work at H.E.B. and Walmart buggies haven't tried any other ones. Only problem I have is it's not as easy for me to take off as some others have said it is for them. I have a baby that doesn't like to be in the carseat any longer than needed. So I'm unloading the buggy and holding him. It's almost impossible to remove the Velcro portion with one hand, and I no longer try to roll it up bc looking for the single strap to do so isn't easy either. One of my favorite features are the two straps that hold the toys! He's dropped his Oball a few times and it was nice not to have to chase It! You can see the strap being utilized in the photo .All in all I love this little thing. I was always the mom who said I would never own one. Well this little guy has changed my mind! 5Like no other!This was an excellent buy. I read reviews on so many different shopping cart covers, but settled on this one immediately I saw it. It's like no other that I have seen out there.Pros:- The padding on it is amazing. I was never worried about putting my little baby in there. When she was able to hold up her head, this was perfect! There is never any fear of her hitting her head against the shopping cart rails. The padding is excellent. Look at other people's covers in the stores, and you will notice that the padding is very scant.- I have washed it several times and it still looks brand new.- It folds up to a comfortable size and shape, and I just keep it in the trunk of the car.- It has nice little pockets where you can stuff little toys for the baby, and then just hook them on to the tabs in the front for baby to play with.Cons:- It might not fit in some restaurant high chairs. Well, it fits, but leaves the baby with very little room because of all the padding. It worked just fine in roomier restaurant high chairs.- It fits most but not all shopping carts. The part that sometimes does not fit is the part that goes over and velcroes over the handle-rail that you use to push the cart. This only seems to be at bed bath and beyond, buybuy baby, and toys/babiesrus. I just realized today that there is a way to make it work though at toys/babiesr us. If I pull just the ends, and not the middle, I can get that part to Velcro, which is enough to keep the middle part covered so that my baby can't touch the handle whatsoever. I will try this at bed bath and beyond and buybuy baby. At these stores, the openings for the legs are pulled too high when you pull the cover to try to Velcro it over the shopping cart handles. If I get it to work there, I will update this review. Till then, I am taking off one star, though I am aware that different stores use different size shopping carts, and one size may not always fit all. 4We love it!Very well-made. I almost went that route because I wanted to pick out my own cute fabric. Then it occurred to me that shopping carts are all different sizes. He's a bit wobbly so the side pillows help support him. He is sturdier now at 9 months...I still like the side pillows because it cushions him when he reaches over the sides. The green color is super cute. It's a bit bulky because of the pillows but I think that for the comfort that it gives my son, it's a good trade off. I have used this cover with the plastic Target cart, regular grocery store cart and the smaller, older Best Buy carts. They fit. 5LOVE THIS PRODUCT! So happy I went for it!I had gotten the Eddie Bauer Shopping Cart Cover, Geo Print from my baby shower, and planned to use it when my son could sit up. However, the first time I tried to use that cover, I couldn't get it to fit on any of the carts I tried, and my son just flopped over. The Leachco cover seemed like the perfect solution! My son started using it at 5 months, before he could really sit up alone but he was strong enough to be propped up. He loved sitting in the "big kid" seat and looking around while shopping! The pillows on either side were really comfy and he leaned over on them plenty of times. He's even fallen asleep on them! The strap to hold him to the cart feels very sturdy too, because you loop it through the actual seat of the cart, UNLIKE the Eddie Bauer one. It also has straps to hook toys to, and I just leave two toys permanently attached, even when I fold it up. The green color is super cute and can be used for a boy or girl. The pillows are also removable, as they are just inside a "pocket" and one or both can be removed. This is nice in restaurants where the pillows take up too much room. Absolutely love this cover! 5Looks a little ridiculous, but works very well!I'll be honest - I am a little embarrassed to use this cart cover in public. It's got all the bells and whistles and I'm sure I look like "that mom"... the one who carries a gallon-container of purell and won't let strangers even look at her baby sideways. And heaven forbid that baby should bonk his head! Oh no!But in all seriousness, as ridiculous as it might look with its big fluffy pillows and multitude of pockets, I love it so much. I bought it when my son was six months old and about 20lbs - too big to be in the sling for long periods of time without killing my back, but too little to hold himself up very well in the cart. We've been using it for about a month now and I still love it. The side pillows are bulky enough that they take up the space on either side of my son and I don't worry about him flopping over. The safety strap is completely detachable, so I can thread it through both the cart and the cover and buckle my son in securely. The toy tethers have strong velcro and we have yet to lose a rattle. I also love that everything is a little padded, so if baby falls forward or to the side and bonks his head, at least I know he won't get a nasty gash on his forehead. It's also relatively easy to roll up and toss in the car. Installing it is simple too - I just set it in the cart, unroll it, put my son in, and then secure everything with the velcro and the buckle. So far it fits on all the carts we've used except Michael's craft stores... their carts are way too tiny.At the risk of looking like "that mom," I will continue using the cart cover for several months and for any subsequent children we have! 5Love this thing!I am a first time mom. I find myself at times overwhelmed by all the unnecessary baby gear and initially classified these cart covers as frivolous. I debated for weeks whether or not to get this because my 5 month old baby couldn't sit up by herself yet and I didn't like always having to bring her car seat in the store as it is heavy and didn't quite fit on the store shopping carts - but I was desperate. Since it was eligible for Prime, I knew I could return it hassle-free if I needed to (Amazon has a great return policy), and I bought it, hoping my baby could be propped up comfortably in the cart. It definitely props her up, and the side pillows are so easy to get on and off when I need to wash this thing. My daughter looks super comfortable in her Prop 'R Shopper. Also, there really isn't a place for her to reach and chew nasty shopping cart handles or buckles that have been handled and used by countless people. I wipe the seat and handle with alcohol wipes, place the shopping cover over the cart, and when I am done with it, it rolls into a neat little package, which I was able to remember how to fold it to get that way after trying once or twice. It has neat little Velcro straps that you can attach baby toys too. There are pockets that are behind the baby and those are really useful as well for when I want to put my wallet in there on her pacifier. It fits neatly onto most shopping carts (I haven't encountered one that was too large for this just yet) and washes beautifully. It is also gorgeous (I bought the green) ad doesn't feel cheaply made in any way. 5Best cover! No ties!This thing has been a LIFESAVER! Baby girl M got way too heavy to tote around in a carseat before she was great at sitting straight up, especially for long shopping trips. Not only does this keep her safe from accidental bumps on metal carts, it keeps her safe from germs as Well! SO SO VERY EASY to put on! I love that I can do the initial putting it in the cart one handed, sit her in it, and then Velcro the strap around the handlebars. And all one big easy strap! The only cart we have had trouble with it not being big enough to Velcro in is the Big Lots cart. All of the others (Wal-Mart, aldis, ikea, Costco, and dollar general) have all fit great! She has fallen asleep numerous times in the cart comfortably and I love that the pillows remove for use in a restaurant highchair. The toy straps are also great! I have been asked about it several times while out in town and have recommended it to friends and family. We have been using it for 6 months now, even though she technically doesn't need it anymore at 1. It still makes her so comfy :) 5Thin material, not durable & baby can still touch the cart :(How I rate: 1 star-don't like at all, 2 stars-it's ok (meh), 3 stars-impressed (I like it), 4 stars-pretty darn good (I love this), 5 stars-wow (indispensable in my life)I love the Leacho crib railing pads (thick fleece with plastic like waterproof backing and sewn very well), so I expected to love this cart/high chair cover equally. But the quality is not the same. Aside from the two super stuffed pillows on both sides of the cart cover the rest of the cover is very thinly lined, and only consist of a single stitching of thread (see photo). You don t think about the stitching or reinforcement of the thread until it unravels on you. This happened to us-the right side tab (if you re looking at it when placed in the shopping cart) popped off when the stitching unraveled on our first use. I thought maybe I ll just sew it back together later and reinforce the stitching on the other tabs to prevent this from happening again. A shopping we will go right? Well, my 1 year old reached over the sides to the metal bars of the cart and tried to chew the metal bars since she s teething. Eww, so sad this doesn t cover the sides. So I took out the pillows and drapped the covers over the sides. Nope, she quickly pulled it off. She also figured she can reach around and pulled the back portion up and over (since it s also just drapped over the seat backing). This shopping experience has shown me that this cart seat cover is not really all it s highly rated to be. What s the point of spending $40+ on something that s suppose to protect your baby from unforeseen germs & residue from Lord knows what could have leaked onto the crevices of the metal bars when it fails to do what it s advertised to do and simply falls apart on the first use? Need something that s going to cover the sides and can be secured without my baby yanking it off. I would not recommend this to other parents and will be returning this seat cover. 1AWESOME!This shopping cart cover is GREAT! My daughter LOVES being in it and seeing the World and smiling at everyone. I love it because I feel like she is safe and secure in it with the pillows, and attaching toys to keep her entertained so I can do my mommy duties, is a huge plus! We shop at Costco and although you can't velcro it in place to their carts, it still fits fine and works just as well. There is nothing negative I can say about this product, and I highly recommend it to any parent who is looking for an affordable, and safe product to bring their young child shopping! 5
