Nice light, wish the cord had been a little longer and white.I like this light. I mounted it above a dartboard. Good light for the small area needed and looks modern and attractive above the board. Two small complaints about the electric cord: It's a bit short and it's black. Who has black walls? Should have been white and about 2 feet longer IMHO. I replaced the stock black cord with a longer white one and I'm a happy camper now. I'd buy it again, even with the black cord.4Bright light, well made. This is a hugely bright light and it scatters the light everywhere. If you don t care about where your light goes, this piece is perfect for you. However if you want a more focused light that is just directed to your painting or print, you may want to look further. That said, the build quality is excellent, and the shipping and parts were all without issue. 4Very happy with this productIt is exactly as advertised, well made and looks great. Light is bright and relatively soft for LED. Easily adjustable and looks as good or better than the pictures, what more could you want? I ran the power wire out the back and down in the wall for my application and then plugged it into a wireless wall switch like this one https://www.amazon.com/AmerTac-RFK100LC-Receiver-Available-channels/dp/B000HJBE68/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1501390791&sr=8-4&keywords=wireless+wall+switchso I could turn it on and off without having the unsightly cord visible.5Poor instructions for wired installationThis works fine out of the box if you don t mind a black cord dangling down and have a nearby plug. This is not the installation I was planning, however. I wanted to mount on an electrical box that was pre-wired to a switch. This product is very poor in this situation.1) Instructions describe removing the switch by untwisting wire-nuts. This, however, removes LED ballast, so light does not operate.2) Mounting bracket is the size of double gang box, which is twice the size of the fixture base, so metal mounting bracket is conspicuously visible after installation3) Remaining hole in fixture base where switch was removed. I will try to take lamp apart to se if I can turn the base upside down. Instructions are poor in that they don t address this obvious problem.1Well I finally attempted to put this up in a ...Well I finally attempted to put this up in a now renovated area. The screw that adjusts the pivot at the bast is a tiny pot metal screw whose head was stripped at the assembly line. The phillips head was also tiny and being stripped I was unable to remove it to replace with one that would hold the weight to the light assembly. Screwed by the Chinese again. Threw this junk away, filled the mounting holes and repainted. What a joke.1I love this light fixture and use it on a stand ...I love this light fixture and use it on a stand rather than hanging it on the wall above the artwork. I attached a small strip of black matte board to the fixture so the ambient light doesn't shine in my eyes. It brings the painting to life, and the painting brings my living room to life. The color of the light is excellent, it's not too blue or too yellow.5Does the Job but Needed Some Thought to Make it Work WellI got this light to highlight a painting. It was a little bit short in length to properly illuminate the entire painting. To compensate I mounted it in a block of wood before putting it on the wall above the painting. After that I just need to adjust the angle to properly illuminate the painting without being blinding.You do need to figure out what to do with the cord so it is not visible. My painting is above a table so I was able to hide it behind the painting and table. To turn it on I need to practically climb under the table. I haven't figured out a workaround yet.All in all I am happy but it would be better if the light had a longer length from the base.4light is not as warm as I would likeBased on aesthetic appearance and value, this light is easily a 5/5. Ideally it would be nice if the lights were dimmable, but that may be asking too much. The light is not as warm as I would like for displaying artwork but I don't blame the company for that. I am giving the light a 4/5 overall because of the horrific instructions, the print is too small, and it is easier to simply use common sense when installing this instead of trying to decipher the instructions. Also it is absolutely ridiculous that the power cord is less than 6 feet long, considering that most people have 9 feet ceilings, which even if you place the light right above a power outlet would still be too short. So don't forget to buy a power extension cord with this!4Nice light, short cord, switch on cord is too close to light...I love this light! I realize that LED has a different look than incandescent and it's a trade off having a light that doesn't get hot and is cheap to run over the warmer softer light of the other, I was willing to go with practicality over looks because I don't think a hot light shining on a painting could be that good for it. The cord is a bit too short to reach an outlet unless you have on right below your painting, but it can be hardwired in. I had to use an extension cord since it was over my mantle. The on off switch is on the cord and about 30" from the light. This painting is 36x30 so it became an issue, the switch is behind the painting and it keeps it from resting against the wall, I may need to put a new cord on it so it will be long enough without an extension cord and I can place the switch lower on the cord..... other than those problems, I am very happy with the light.4Easy, flexible and very bright.Easy to install, flexible positioning of light, and great coverage for a large piece of art. The only critique i have Is that it s too bright. It would be great to have a dimmer or low/mid/high settings.4Great light for the price!I am very satisfied with this light. I used the plug and play feature as I have an outlet right below the painting I am illuminating. I had a previous picture light which made the installation much more easy considering I didn't have to spend much time measuring a centering the light. I must say though that the user manual states that four mounting screws are enclosed and four mounting anchors, but I received only two of each, which is all I needed anyway. They even enclose "work gloves" but only one glove is given. Like I said, I like the light but the manufacturer should definitely upgrade their package inclusions.4
