Customer Reviews

Absolutely LOVE this product and seller This yarn is wonderful! It is exactly the color shown, great to work with, going to make a wonderful blanket, super soft(!), and as thick as I expected. All five skeins were wrapped individually, something I greatly appreciate because it keeps the unused skeins clean and like new. This came on time in pristine packaging. The price was great! And I would recommend this seller and this particular yarn to everyone! 5I crochet and enjoyed this yarn I am using this yarn for a large afghan. I would recommend this chunky weight yarn for all of your heavier weight project needs. I enjoy the feel and the warmth of this particular brand and haven't had any problems working with it. It is true to color depicted. The only word of caution is to be careful how many times you try and pull this yarn out and start over on a project. The yarn will pull or pill after a too many rough re-starts. I would recommend this to intermediate and advanced crocheters or knitters. Might be a little difficult to handle if you're just learning to crochet. 5I barely even know you Great Aunt Marie! You've felt it. The panic of when your mom/dad/dog asks you to knit them something. Not only that, but knit them something that they can use the very next day. Do they think you're Quicksilver or the Flash or something?? Do they not know that a hat with all the characteristics they are asking for would take a few days at least?!Have no fear, Super Bulky is here!A super thick yarn pairing with just as thick needles makes for a super speedy hat that will keep any demanding relative happy in a pinch! Hometown USA is soft, durable, and cozy for an acrylic and is one of my favorite Oh-God-Stop-Asking-For-Hand-Knits yarn! 5Good, not great Lovely color but I had several issues with the skein not being one. It was cut in at least three places and sloppily joined. Usually lion brand is much more reliable. Hopefully mine was the exception. 4WONDERFUL!! I've worked with lots of different yarns and this is one of my favorites. Easy to work and blends beautifully. I made a gorgeous afghan with a solid of the same brand. This would make lovely scarves and beanies as well. Would order this brand again and probably will. Happy to answer any questions. Will try to post pictures in comments (my computer not allowing me to attach right now). 5Great yarn! Soft and thick. Great for making a hat! I really loved working with this yarn :) 5Absolutely LOVE this yarn and color. This yarn is wonderful to work with and so, so soft. I ordered about 15 skeins in two separate orders and only one was slightly mismatched which I used for the tassels. The Lake Tahoe blue is simply gorgeous. I made an afghan for myself for Christmas and many of my friends wanted it for themselves! Works up beautifully. 5softeness and yardage vary by color Be aware that softeness and yardage vary by color.SOFTENESS:I bought autumn el paso, houston cream, Los Angeles tan, oakland black, honolulu pink, cape cod tweed, NY white, Tennessee tango and all of these were extra soft. Autumn el paso is my favorite because of the richness of the color: there are hints of red that makes the yarn magic once crocheted.Kansas city tweed was slightly less soft but nothing on the "rough" side. It might come from the thread that makes it "tweed" looking. But just zooming on the picture will give you an ideaYARDAGE:I think I remember yardage varies by color so zoom in, check the description of each color skein. If I recall correctly, traditionnal colors are slightly bigger than mixed colors.PRICE:Price varies greatly here on amazon. I have seen it in store for $8/$7 but you can score it for $3 or even lower here on amazon. So if you are in no rush, wait. 5Color description is not accurate. Look them up irl before buying online. The yarn is fine, however, the color pictured is not accurate. I think I will look for new colors in store from now on. From now on, I think I will only be ordering yarn online after I know I like a color & if it doesn't need to be from the same due lot number.I purchased Pheonix Azalea based on an image that makes it look like like tha majority of the color is a muted coral pink. It turns out it's actually a very bright fuschia. I included a photo of a screenshot from Amazon vs what I got. Not at all what I was expecting based on their image! I'm disappointed that the product description didn't match the actual product I received. I'm not sure I will keep it. :/ 3Very soft and fluffy yarn Soooooooooooo soft. I'm usually a natural fibres purist, and this 94% acrylic, 6%rayon blend really won me over with how soft and lovely it was to work with. I'm not giving it 5 stars because the yarn is a lot shorter than I expected given the volume of the ball (I needed 8 balls to make a scarf! It was an extremely fluffy and warm scarf, though), and because the fibres are a little loose at times. They can unravel or get split on the needles very easily. I wouldn't really recommend it to a beginner just because you'd always have to be on the lookout for splitting the yarn. It's also not very forgiving if you tend to knit tightly. 4
