Affordable quality! A week ago while on the hunt for a new office chair I purchased a HON chair, I'm a brand junkie and figured their name was synonymous with quality. Wrong. I couldn't package that junk up to return fast enough. After heading back to browsing this chair popped up and I decided to give it a try. Wow. The quality of the hardware, seat and back are head and shoulders above HON. If you are on the hunt for a new chair, look no more! This one is a home run! 5Great, economical chair. Helped alleviate back pain. After a month of use at both my work office and home office, I very impressed with this chair.A couple months ago I pulled my back working on a home project. My desk chairs at home and work both were not friendly on the back and after suffering for a few months I decided to replace both. While this chair is economically made, there don't seem to be many concessions in terms of its functionality or comfort. The back mesh is supportive and forms well enough to your back, the chair pad is comfortable, and the arm rests are bare-bones, but work well enough. The nob-and-screws that secure the armrests in place will loosen every so often. But you just reach down and turn the nob a bit and it's secure again.While not the only change I made to alleviate my back pain, this chair has helped tremendously by being comfortable and promoting better posture than my previous chairs.So far I have not encountered any problems or drawbacks with the chair and it's certainly impressed me for the price. I can't guarantee that everyone will be pleased with it. But if you've sat in similar looking chairs and found them comfortable, I believe you will like this chair as well. 5Works well and holds up to a big guy using it This chair seems to be made well and has held up to me using it daily for just over 6 months without any signs of wear. I am not a small person at 275 lbs and so my last IKEA office chair started to wobble, creak, and loosen up after a few months and completely fell apart after a couple of years of daily use. This chair has worked flawlessly for the last 6 months and shows no signs of loosening up or wearing out and does not creak or squeak at all. It is comfortable for daily use. 5Great comfort and value for high-use office chair My girlfriend works from home during most of the week. Once, her personal trainer was over, and saw that she was using an inexpensive, non-ergonomic chair in our home office. He suggested she get a better chair if she would be working from home a lot.We purchased this chair after doing some research for office chairs and deciding that spending loads of cash wasn't necessary.After using it for several months (she more than I), we couldn't be happier. Although she never complained about back trouble or discomfort with the old chair, she says there is a noticeable difference when using this chair. She feels more alert and awake throughout the day, and has noticed that she doesn't feel the urge to "stand up and stretch her legs" as often as she did before.Only giving it four stars instead of five because it's not the most beautiful chair, though it isn't an eyesore, either. 4Good initial quality, quickly goes downhill I've increased my rating back to 3 stars, because the company sent me replacement parts for the defective mechanism._______I'm further reducing my rating to only 1 star. The creaks and popping sounds are so loud when I sit in this chair, they can now be heard on another floor of my house. I am well within the stated weight limit for the chair, so I think this is just a manufacturing or design weakness. Very disappointed. However, after only 3-4 months it developed loud creaks and pops whenever I sit in it or lean backward or forward. I've since noticed other reviewers have the same complaint. I now wish I had purchased something else. The chair seems to last only as long as the return period.______I'm on board with this chair.PROSWell-engineered parts are easy to put together; bolts could be started by hand before tightening.The parts seem heavy and durable. It is made of a lot of plastic and rubber, but doesn't seem cheap.It actually is a high-back chair, and the arms can be installed at a wide width. I'm 6'2" and it provides plenty of room.The mesh back is well-supported and comfortable.Very adjustable ergonomics.CONSThe seat seems to have a layer of memory foam that bottoms out on the support platform. I wish I could have liked this chair. Frome the pictures it seems reasonably constructed, and on inspection most of it is. One glaring problem that was noticed though was the seat looks no different from a cheap task chair. Internally supported by wood, the seat at most has 2" of foam cushion on it if even that as it seems a bit thinner in the center. I still gave it the benefit of the doubt and used the chair for an evening. Bad idea as in just a few hours I could feel the hard plywood beneath the cushion and started to again experience the pain I've had from sitting on my worn out desk chair. So back it goes to amazon because it's completely unusable for me. 3Comfortable, adjustable and inexpensive I purchased this chair on Amazon based on the favorable reviews, and I'm glad I did. I'm a big guy (6'8" and "big boned") and it's difficult to find furniture priced reasonably that is comfortable. This chair fits the bill nicely. The chair height is adjustable to a height that puts my legs at 90 degrees, the back can tilt or be fixed at any number of angles, the seat tilts and can be fixed, and the armrests can be adjusted for both height and width. I was a little concerned at first about the width of the armrests, but once I adjusted them to be as wide as they can go, I had plenty of clearance. I really like the mesh back - it allows nice firm support while allowing air circulation. Having 5 legs on the base is a nice addition, because it allows for smooth rolling with less of a chance of tipping.Pros:*Tilt, height, armrests, seat are all adjustable to fit a wide range of body sizes*Comfortable mesh back allows support and air circulation*Easy to assemble (took 10 minutes, tops)*Designed to accomodate folks that are outside the "average" body size (both larger and smaller)*Smooth rolling and stable*Very reasonably priced for such a sturdy piece of furniture.Cons:*none that I can determine. 5Not as bad as I first thought. Not great for extended periods, but still decent. Don't understand why it has a tilt-forward function, but I leave it all the way back, which is just enough that it's ~level to the floor. Back support is good given my height, but I'd likely have bought a different chair given my past months experiences. Good enough for now.Update 3/4/2017:I am still using this chair, and it has served me well. It has held up better than any chair I've ever owned and still is mostly comfortable. I am pleasantly surprised with this and would have to say I'd recommend the chair at $150 or less. The biggest thing for me is that I always felt the need to look for another chair after so long with one because I'd be uncomfortable/unsatisfied. With this, I haven't even given any real consideration to finding another. Revised my rating from 4 to 5 stars. 5So far so good! I can say I've easily put more than average use to this chair. I think I've had it about 3 months now?I wasn't kidding about the usage either. Between gaming and digital drawing, I easily spend 8+ hours glued to this chair a day. My only complaint at this point is that the arms get uncomfortable because there is really no padding to be found (but I remedied that myself, so no biggie).The setup wasn't terrible, it just took a while (about 30 min). I struggled a bit because the parts are kinda heavy and I was putting it together by myself, but in the end its just another proud "put it together myself" moment. If you lack upper body strength you might want some help putting this together.Otherwise, it's been a great addition to my office! I look forward to planting my butt in it for many more months to come (and then some!) Fingers crossed! 5FINALLY - A Chair Worthy of 5 Stars - STILL, After 11 Straight Months of Use - Tall Girl w/ChairLove :) After spending ridiculous amounts on totally crappy chairs, despite researching and reading reviews, I was about to give up until I found this lil beauty! Chair sweet chair, baby! Being long and lean (6'2" x 155lbs athletic build), I needed something that actually has true height adjustment, tall enough for tall people, cushy enough to support a bony bum all day long (and not wear out in 2mo), plus height adjustable arms tall enough to rest on without leaning over. It also had to have decent lumbar curvature, that against meets a tall person's lumbar height, and this one delivers. The only thing this chair is missing is the arms don't telescope horizontally, which would make this chair near perfect for me. (I'm not wide like the beefy hubby.) The mesh back I thought would be "cold" to me, but I actually really, really like it.The chair back could be a bit taller for those times one needs to kick back and rest one's head, pausing to breathe so as to maintain one's professional composure in those moments when the inner you really wants to do is dive through the monitor to go wring the neck of certain co-workers on the other end of that VPN... Moving on.All around, this chair has been absolutely fabulous - and literally looks and feels as new as the day I bought it. It's used 3-4 days /week for 10-12 hours, so its used fairly heavily. I've considered purchasing one of these for on-site office as well because it's so dang comfortable and has held up so well. I was able to adjust the pitch, back position, seat tilt and arm height to perfectly fit my gangly frame. I have a pergo floor in my office, so I can't comment on how it does on carpet, but I'd recommend a chair pad for carpet anyway. You can't go wrong with this chair, people! 5
