Good quality and does not leak! Love the item as an alternative to plastic. I would have given it five stars but over time the plastic came of the top in one area. Like the lip is not secure over the metal and I cant seem to pop it back on. Maybe with a knife. It still works and closes great, which is good. The food stays separate for the most part. I think one time I put apple sauce in one compartment and it seeped to the other compartment a little from the bottom but it was just her grapes:) I like how it fits in my daughters lunch box perfectly with room on top for an ice pack. 4I love the fact that it's stainless stee Purchased for my son who has celiac disease. I love the fact that it's stainless stee! Also love that he can just flip the lid off and his lunch is contained and safe from cross-contamination of a school lunchroom table. We've used this product for the last two months of school last year, I recently dug it out to wash it for the new school year and noticed the green cover is cracked and won't stay snapped on the silver lid. Not a huge deal but I am bummed. We spend a large amount of money on his school lunch system because he's worried about cross-contamination at school. (We also purchased the smaller sized duo lunchbots container, Lunchbots rounds, the Lunchbots lunch bag and a Klean Kanteen Reflect Stainless Steel 27 Ounce Water Bottle with Bamboo Cap.) Our smaller container has not cracked and has held up really well! We also purchased some silicone muffin cups to contain juice from strawberries or other fruit as the sections of this container are not totally sealed. 4Sturdy stainless lunch box!We have 3 kids and this is our third purchase of this lunch container. Our oldest container is 3 years old and we love them. They clean easily, in the dishwasher no less, and they don t have any plastics touching the kids food. They re expensive but I see them lasting almost forever! They are not waterproof containers, but we bought the separate screw on containers and they work great. I was worried my kids would find the tops a little hard to get off but my kids could all do it at 3 years old so it was never a problem. Great product. I recommend it to other parents all the time!5Low profile sturdy lunch bagThis is definitely not a leak proof lunch box, but I knew that well before I bought it. I do feel that the extra money for the bento bundle was well spent however as you do get things that help if you happen to have some dipping sauce or other runny foods that you want to take with you.Due to certain food sensitivities eating out while I am on the go can be both a challenge and very expensive, this box allows me to carry plenty of food to keep me going throughout the day.I use this box specifically when I am without access to a refrigerator, keeping it in a low profile insulated lunch bag along with a couple of slim ice packs to keep everything fresh. This all goes into a small 9 liter backpack that I take with me and doesn t take up a ton of room. For my specific purposes this box was well worth the investment.5Great buyBought these for my kids lunch boxes and they are perfect. The larger compartment will fit an entire sandwich and the two smaller compartments are perfect for chips or cut fruit. After going through several fails this one is definitely a win. I like that it is free of harmful chemicals and is made sturdy.5Get the bundle!Get the bundle. It s such a great deal for only $10 more. I usually cut unbleached parchment paper to line compartments if I have foods that could leak through. But having the silicone cups and small leakproof jars is much easier. I was struggling to find silicone cups that fit, but that also didn t leave me with wasted space. The bundle is the answer! The silicone cups are perfect for melon, yogurt, or other liquid foods without having to line the sections. The small dip container fits dressing. Also, the Tavva 3oz container with silicone lid fits in this box as well. The Tavva container is empty in the picture and is to the left of the Lunchbots container with nuts.5Can I say I LOVE LOVE LOVE these Can I say I LOVE LOVE LOVE these? Thank you 5These are super useful and my kids love them.I bought 4 of these for the kids and moved from Bento boxes which tend to get worn out. Because these are made of stainless steel they are way easier to clean and much more durable!5I adore this lunchboxI bought one of these a year or so ago, and it's held up excellently. I recently ordered a second one so I can pack lunches for my boyfriend and I. It's really a great way to pack lunch, it makes it look attractive when you open your box, helps you portion food properly, simplifies the process of getting your lunch together and taking it to work, and it's easy to clean.You do need to carry it horizontally, though. I use a lunch box from the Lunch Bots company and it fits perfectly and has room for a mason jar with green smoothie in it or cans of seltzer. I really am impressed with Lunch Bots' products!5Great bento box It's well made and ideal for flat sandwiches with fruit and/or vegetables on the side. It works well for compact salads like pasta, tabouli, etc. or anything that's not too runny since the compartments aren't completely sealed.You can use a piece of lettuce or kale on the bottom to keeps things from running together if you like.This would not be good for bulky, leafy salads since it's fairly compact. 4Loving the large trioWe've been using lunchbots for years and still have some of their very first containers. I love the durability of them and that they are non-toxic. I like the large trio because I can send my daughter a full sandwich, burrito, etc. Usually there is even still room in the larger compartment to put a sandwich and a little muffin cup with something else in it. No complaints. Do your due diligence before ordering and pay attention to the dimension of the container, etc. This is obviously larger than the other containers because it holds a full size sandwich. And it is leak-proof in the sense that you don't put anything that is oozy, melty, liquidy. If something is seeping, it could technically transfer to the next compartment. But I've packed watermelon, peaches, etc without any issue.5A Beast Lunch Bots is the the best. This is my 3rd container from them. It is much bigger then their other containers so check the size. It is not my 3rd container through any fault of the first 2... they got appropriated by other family member. (I'm looking at you sister who visited over the the holidays!!) This is an expensive box, but it is 100% quality all the way. It seals fully fits a lot and is very tough. I would not send this with my kid only for fear of (fictional) him or her losing it or trading it away for some cheap plastic fun box. When I pack lunches for my partner I sometimes feel guilty they I got her a cheap plastic bento box while I'm rocking this. Wraps or cut sandwich easily fits in big space, I usually put carrots or veggies and nuts in little spaces. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. Its easy to clean and just fantastic. The only possible down side is that its built like a tank so its going to be a little heavy. But for me thats very worth it. Its been through some rough spots with me and came out the other end like a boss. 5Great container and fits a reasonable amount of food for my young children.I can t speak for the durability of the container since I ve only owned it a month or so. It s not leakproof but I never expected it to be leakproof. I use silicone baking cups to contain liquids from fresh fruit and vegetables. I hand wash every day just in case it warps or reduces the lifespan of the container. I m not sure if this could hold enough food for my oldest son, 9, but I do use it to feed my youngest son, 7, and it fits his entire lunch with more room leftover in case his appetite increases.5Great for Preschoolers Pottery Barn lunch bags.I was originally concerned about the quality of this bento because of other reviews claiming the metal was thin and the lid was flimsy. Definitely by the case! These are sturdy with a sturdy lid. No sloppy detailing of the interior dividers either. I bought the Bento Trio Large for both of my preschoolers and they are fantastic. They fit into Pottery Barn's Classic lunchbag very nicely. The lids are easy to open but not so easy that it comes off of the base on it's own. In order to make sure little sandwich seeds or crumbs don't shift into the two smaller compartments, I place a paper towel over the food before closing the lid, and problem solved.Definitely recommend. Easy to use, to wash, and to keep track of. Sturdy and well made. Love them!!5Good - but expensive and hard to open for young childrenI hate plastic. It breaks easily and ends up in landfills where it sits around and does nothing for bajillions of years. We have been incrementally removing plastic from our lives for the past 10 years. We typically use glass containers for our daughter's lunch box, but glass is heavy and not compartmentalized so everything has to be in a single container = soggy lunches, or split into multiple containers = super heavy lunches. We looked at a few steel bento box options and this one was promising as it can fit a full size sandwich, however, it was too difficult for our daughter (4 year old) to open on her own, and to be honest does not seem worth the $39 price tag. It should be more like $10 for how simple it is - as well as to allow more people from all income ranges to start choosing steel over plastic. Another small nit: it arrived encased in bubble wrap. Not sure if this is the company's direction or Amazon's but either way - not optimal.At the same time we also bought a BareWare three-layer bento box which was delivered in a cardboard box (not bubble wrap). At $26 it's still overpriced - seriously, these things should be $10-15 - but more functional and easier to open. Bottom line: if you're purchasing this to avoid plastic - please go forth! There is nothing wrong with it. This is my opinion based on cost and in comparison to similar options.3
