I could tell by looking at it, but thought I would give it a fair test. After 3 days, the taste is so bad I cannot drink the water. Waste of money and time. Amazon should not sell these fake filters that claim to be Zen filters. They are not.1OkUse it lot of year, but not sure is it working for the PH or not. Yeah, they were just rocks but by now I was mistrustful. I ended up just using the original rocks that came with the system... These are the same mineral stones that come with the water dispensers and that you can buy directly from Zen.The stones help to mineralize the filtered water and according to the Zen Water website help keep the water clean. They aren't a mandatory part of the Zen Water experience, but they add magnesium and zinc and help make the water taste really good. I boil mine every two weeks, and they seem to last just about forever.5A waste of money Don t purchase this! The directions describe tasking the filter apart, soaking the stones and boiling them in water for three minutes before using the. The filter is sealed so these steps are impossible. Now the water tastes like dirt and I don t want to drink it. It was waste of money. 1
