    Perfect wall remote. Not being an electrician i must say as a novice these are easy installs and a simple sync to the ceiling fan. I've done 5 of these now. Even the wiring is labeled as to what is hot and neutral. Takes all the guess work out with mis-wiring. Its great that the item comes with three different face plates including white, tan and black along with matching colored screws. Tip: If installing many of these do as I did and write down the dip switch combos you use to slave the unit to your ceiling fan. This will make it easier to figure out what frequencies to set the others at without having to un-install the unit to see where you set the dip switches. 8 dip switches on each one, so many different combos you can do.I would say the only thing we don't like about the wall remote is that when it's powered on, the on off button is bright blue which you cannot switch off unless you power the whole thing off. wish you could choose whether that light was on or off. Other than that, great product. 5Works well - after I changed frequency This wall switch works as expected, ensuring that a quick way to control the fan and light is available when the remote is misplaced or has a low battery. After the fan and switch were installed the light and/or fan would turn on or off randomly. Once I changed the frequency for the fan, remote and wall switch things have been fine. Apparently this can happen in apartment or condo buildings with several units. My only negative is that it is yet another device that for some reason has a blue led light on all the time. Not ideal for a guest bedroom. 5Great example of why Minka Aire is awesome I'm specifically buying Minka Aire brand fans from now on, simply because they have the best controller options. Ok- also because they have awesome fans too, but being able to replace a wall switch with a product like this? Awesome. I'm sold. This device duplicates all of the functionality of your Minka Aire remote, but also doesn't require batteries, doesn't get lost, doesn't get stepped on, and is always where you expect it. 5Glows bright. Kind of an annoying switch, but it works. The switch works, but it's huge and it is annoying to turn a light on and off with a mushy rubber button. I would much rather have an actual switch with some resistance. There is a super bright blue light in the switch that glows all the time. Annoying for a bedroom setting and a waste of energy. Make the buttons hard, not mushy rubber and get rid of the glowing switch. The switch is also HUGE. just barely fit in my box. 2Fan can now be controlled by the remote or wall control. Bought this for Minka-Aire F844-DK, Light Wave 52" Ceiling Fan with LED Light Kit, Distressed Koa Finish. The fan came with a remote, but I also wanted a wall control. I contacted the seller before buying the fan and was told that this wall control was compatible with this fan. I installed the wall control, too. Leave the wall control on and the remote works, so you can use either. I wanted a wall control in addition to a remote because the fan it replaced only worked with the remote - no compatible wall control. When the remote died, I called the fan shop I bought it from and found that there was no replacement remote for this fan. So, I had to replace the fan entirely. 5Works very well We have a ceiling fan outlet in our diningroom but there is no wall switch. We wanted to have a new modern minka fan which doesn't have a pull chain. So this remote is the only solution without a costly electric wiring work to the wall. It's been a year since we installed it and the remote is working perfectly without replacing batteries. Our ceiling is slanted by about 20 degrees but the receiver fits the minka fan. Not sure if it fits on a steeper ceiling. 5perfect fit This unit is slightly different than the one I removed however it worked like a charm on the fan unit. I also picked up the handheld remote that goes with this. At first I thought there may be an issue setting up the remote because it was the old style coded pin unit however it was so very simple. All I had to do what follow the direction which was basically to turn on wall control, hold remote button 'x' amount of seconds and it was done, set up and working like a charm. 5Wish it was better I purchased this to use with my Minka Aire F844-WH. It works BUT the light buttons are way too small comparing to fan control button. I don't understand why they made them that small. They are small and close to each other so it's really hard to use them.Also I was under the impression of one button ONLY increases the light and the other one ONLY decreases. But instead both works the same way, if you keep pushing them, the light goes up, all the way to max, then goes down to all the way to min. I am kind of hoping i did something wrong during the installation because that defeats the purpose of having 2 buttons for the light. 2Controls are too small. Go universal We often misplace the remote in our bedroom and learned a wall control is vital. This is the recommended control for our fan. It works, but not easily. Minka must have skipped usability testing with their button design. I ve got a fat-finger complex attempting to push the correct buttons. Turning the fan off is the tiny square in the center, which inevitably touches the surrounding on options. The light has two buttons that do the same thing obviously designed to accommodate Minka fans with both up and down lighting, but it s a waste of space for fans that don t have that. (I have 2 of F759-PBL Proven al Blanc.) I expected more from Minka. If a universal wall control will work, go with that instead. (Note: The size of the remote control buttons are larger and sufficient for easy use.) 2Wall Remote Control for Ceiling Fan We've always bought MinkaAire ceiling fans but when renovating our new house, it wasn't in the budget to get one for all of our rooms that needed one (they can get quite pricey). However, one of my favorite things about them was the remote and with this we were able to install Hunter fans (much cheaper) and control them with the MinkaAire control and it works perfectly. Score!I love that this is wall mounted so my kids can't lose the remote or mix them up with other rooms. And, it's hardwired so unlike others we tried there is no battery to change or get removed by a curious toddler (true story).(FYI... our fan is the Hunter Louden about $100, compared to the Minka Delano II, which we also have and paid about $350 for. With this remote, they now function essentially the same.) 5
