    Side backrest supports are not contiguous with the rear legs two pieced. I ordered two of these chairs to be used with desks of the same make for an office setting and was very disappointed to find that the construction was very sub-par. The two main side supports of the backrest just sit on top of the two back legs and are joined via a single screw. I cannot see how this will hold up over time or support a larger person leaning back. I had metal brackets (because I did like the look of the chairs and they matched the desks) made to connect the backrest to the legs hoping this will prolong any durability issues.Also one chair arrived damaged at exactly this junction and had to be returned for another!! 2The quality of these chairs are excellent. The low review kind of put me off--so hubby called the company direct to see what the story was. Turns out these babies have a 20 YEAR WARRANTY. Well, we needed these ASAP and Amazon did not have the number we needed in stock so we ended up going direct to the makers.Beautiful chairs, sturdy, stunning woodwork,. The person who built the chair signed it--that is pride in your product! Comfy, quality furniture that goes so beautifully with our rustic d cor. Well packaged, good shipping and delivery experience. 5
