    It's fine, but a little annoying since it tends to ... For my last 2 babies, I had a boppy pillow. It's fine, but a little annoying since it tends to slide around. So I got this to use with my new baby. It's....okay. it's much firmer than the boppy. The pattern we chose is nice, and the little pocket is handy. The pocket has elastic at the top so stuff won't fall out. I keep my son's RX eye drops and nipple cream in it. The thing I really don't like is the little humps on it (possibly to prop up baby's head?). They're awkward and too small to really support the baby's head. And for me, they make positioning for feeding more difficult. 3Buy this!! I should have bought this with my first one, but when doing research on nursing pillows as a first time parent - boppy pillow was all the rage. But I hated the boppy pillow. With my 2nd one, I gave brest friend a shot and this is just so much more comfortable for both the mom as well as the baby. The surface is flat and the belt actually helps keep the baby in place. Yes, this doesn't multi-function like the boppy where you can use it for the baby to rest on etc, but I much rather have a comfortable nursing pillow that serves nursing as the purpose it was intended for first very well and then worry about multi functionality aspect. New moms - trust me buy this product and you will not regret it!I like that I can remove the cover and wash it, but I do have concerns about longevity of the product as every time I remove the cover to wash it, the inside sponge does show some wear, but I guess that is expected. It would be better for the manufacturer to have a liner along with the cover so constant removing and inserting outer cover, doesn't rub off on the sponge directly. I did NOT receive this product for free and neither am I affiliated with brest friend by any means. It's just a great product. 5Great design! I really do love this nursing pillow. This pillow was a God-send for me while I was trying to figure out nursing. It works a lot better than the Boppy for my newborn. It creates a flat, stable platform to nurse and your newborn won't slowly push the pillow out and fall into the space between. At the beginning, I would take this pillow anywhere I was going to go where I planned on nursing. As I've become more comfortable nursing, I've tried to diversify and use other pillows or random couch pillows. I can do it now without this pillow, but I don't prefer it. It is so much easier on my back to use this one and involves so much less tugging to keep it in place. This is the style of pillow my lactation consultant had and I plan to buy one for every baby shower I go to from now on. 5A fix for the stinky foam problem! My wife just came up with a solution to protect the foam tonight. First we removed the fabric cover. Then we just placed the custom plastic packaging over the foam insert. Now the fabric covering easily slips back over the plastic covered foam. Now when there is a spill you just have to wash the covering! 5Great, but... I love just about everything about this nursing pillow. It actually stays in place and doesn't slide down like the boppy. There's no annoying gap between the pillow and my stomach. I just wish that it wasn't as hard on the top. It's not at all comfortable for my baby to be directly on the pillow. I have to put a thick blanket on it, then my baby on top. Also, it has useless bumps on each side on the top. They're probably there to lift the baby's head. They're only about 1/4-1/2 inch in thickness, but it's enough to bug me and I don't like them one bit. Still, I would recommend this pillow in a heartbeat. 4Very helpful for new breastfeeding mommies! Love this pillow. I was having many issues the first month of breast feeding my baby girl, mostly related to posture and positioning. I originally was gifted the Boppy, which comes in many cute designs, so I was skeptical based off esthetics whether i should buy this pillow, but once I tried it at one of my lactation appointments I was convinced and it definitely has made my life easier. I don't always need it now that I'm seasoned but it still is nice to have around for back support and for the baby to stably lay on. It allows me to multitask while she is attached :) sometimes I eat while she eats lol. Sometimes I put a blanket and my sleeping baby in the nook that goes around your waist while laying flat and she will stay asleep feeling cradled. I always keep her close and watch her of course! 5A blessing for nursing, no other pillow like this, saves momma a lot of energy! Wife loves this after trying to use a Boppy pillow the first month. This actual saves a lot of energy trying to keep the boppy from slipping out, because this pillow fastens around the waist and allows her to maintain a good posture and back support and good feeding position with minimal effort. (Football-feeding position also works great with this pillow, even though it doesn't look like it might)We bought this because her sister and good friend both separately recommended it.My thought was...it's just a pillow..but I'm here writing this review because she LOVES this and she says it makes a HUGE difference over any other type of pillow. Her sister nursed for almost 2 years with this pillow saving her a lot of energy/effort. Her other friend nursed for 18 months.If you don't see same-day shipping (and you live in a big city) keep choosing different colors/styles as they are different prices and different ones have different shipping speeds. The wife didn't care about colors or style and wanted any of them with same-day shipping since our newborn was days old and wanted anything that would help her feed better. Definitely worth it! Happy wife, happy life, happy baby! 5Great for the early weeks of nursing This nursing pillow is great for the first weeks of nursing. I think it's particularly good if you've had a c-section (I did) and if you have a baby on the smaller side (I also did.) I have this and the Boppy but I used this one almost exclusively at first. With the Boppy, my baby tended to slide towards me and down and this was a no-go for the first few weeks when I was recovering my surgery. Once my son got a little bigger and I wasn't so sore, I started switching off between the two and eventually I gravitated more towards the Boppy. But I would definitely recommend this one for anyone who knows they're having a c-section and in general I think it's easier to use with a brand-new baby. I was concerned about how difficult it would be to take the cover on and off to wash, but it's actually very easy. I did hang the cover to dry just to avoid any shrinkage in the dryer. 4Dollar for dollar, my best baby investment I bought a My Brest Friend from a flea market for $5, and it has been one of my absolute most valuable purchases. Dollar for dollar, it has outstripped every other baby-related purchase. I have brought this pillow on 13+ hour plane rides, used it to nurse in the front seat of my car while making a pit stop on a road trip, and use it six times a day every day at home. It helps me position my baby in a way I can stand without my arms getting tired or worrying about pillows and blankets slipping from underneath me. I have had an extremely difficult and painful breastfeeding experience, and I would not have been able to continue if I hadn't had this pillow.Pros:1. Love that it latches around your waist. Pull it tight and use it as a platform for your baby in any sitting or standing position. Much better than a boppy, since you can make sure this one is always at a consistent distance from your breasts.2. Cover is washable. Get a second cover so that you can switch them out after your baby poops/pees/spits up/drools/excretes some other bodily fluid on them.3. The slight back support makes it easier for me to get comfortable in unfamiliar chairs.Cons:1. It's big. It takes up a ton of space on a plane, and is difficult to fit under the seat in front of you. For international flights, get the bassinet even if the baby doesn't like it. Then you can store your Brest Friend in the bassinet.2. It's so good, it's made it difficult to nurse without it. When I realize I've forgotten it or if there's some reason I just can't bring it somewhere, I find the nursing experience much more stressful.3. The covers are a freaking pain to get back on once you take them off to wash. The first time I washed it, it probably took me 8 minutes to get the cover back on. I'm down to 2-3 minutes now, but it's still a pain.4. Some people might like the pocket, but to me it's not really in a position where it's terribly useful. I should really keep burp cloths in there, though, for when I'm out in public. When will I learn?Anyway, I've bought this one for my cousin for her first baby, and even though I paid full price for this one, I feel safe in thinking that it will still be one of the best investments in her nursing comfort. 5
