Cleans up easily, dishwasher safe.This is not a stand alone item. You must have a frying pan, with a lid, large enough for the item to sit flat inside it to be able to use it properly. 4Look Elsewhere This poacher is a waste of money. The silicone is much too thick, and the bottom of the eggs never gets firm. Even after punching holes in the sides to get more steam to reach the top of the eggs only made it worse. This is going into the trash ! 1Eggs stuck to silicone... First time I used it, The eggs cooked uneven, but it is probably due to the crappy stove I have to use. The eggs stuck to the silicone, which I am very disappointed in. 3Use cooking spray or butter, clean immediately! Tip: clean with warm soapy water immediately after use, if you don't you'll be sorry. The directions say to use nonstick cooking spray before cooking the eggs, but I use butter instead, never use nothing! They will stick! Eggs come out perfectly poached and delicious. Great product! 4Takes forever....eggs come out hard. This seemed like a great idea, but eggs took FOREVER to cook, and even then, they were partially uncooked and had hard, rubbery, edges. The silicone doesn't distribute heat well. You end up over-cooking the eggs. It's gone into the donation pile. 1I only like my eggs poached and don't have a microwave for ... I only like my eggs poached and don't have a microwave for my other poacher. The one take a while longer and more effort but it doesn't get hot to the touch and the eggs hardly stick. Once you have the system down it will be the best kitchen tool you own. 4Great idea but doesn t work. I don t know if this product is just too thick or for some reason doesn t conduct the heat well but it takes forever to poach eggs and after using it once I m done. If you don t mind waiting 20+ minutes maybe this is for you. 2The Best Silicone Egg Poacher This is my fourth - and last - silicone egg poacher. I love eggs but like them to be quick and easy. This is the sturdiest of all the ones I bought (and then gave away) 5Use plenty of butter inside the cups Poaching eggs worked OK. Some of the difficulty was my lack of knowledge on properly using this I'm sure. Nevertheless it does cause the eggs to stick so coat the cups with oil before adding the egg. Also, use a cover so the steam can help cook the tops. 3Love it I absolutely love this. It is so easy and convenient to use and clean up. 5
