    Perfect for 12x12 Scrapbooks I searched at Michaels and Hobby Lobby for a box big enough to store my 12 x 12 scrapbooks and could not find one big enough. This box was perfect (and I have ordered more since). It is big enough to fit a 12x12 scrapbook and some extra supplies on top (more paper, photos, etc.). It is well-made and looks nice in my closet, where I am stacking scrapbooks. The label on front is handy for identifying what's inside, and though I am only ordering black because it looks nice, there are lots of color options available. A good buy and I will likely be buying more as I make new scrapbooks. 5Roomy, sturdy, archival quality I looked at a lot of different options before settling on this particular storage box. I was looking for archival storage for the newspaper I have from the day I was born. Seeing as up until this point, it had just been stored in a regular cardboard box, subject to extreme heat, cold and occasionally humidity, I wanted something that would keep it from getting any more yellowed and fragile than it already was. But I needed to make sure the newspaper would fit flat in the box, to avoid any more damage than had already occurred. This turned out to be the perfect box!If I had a reason for buying more of these storage boxes, I would! They are of a very high quality - sturdy, rigid, and a snug lid. I love the different color options they come in - I chose the green, which looks lovely in my closet. A nice feature for multiple purchases is the built in tag on the front of the box, so that you can label each as to what is inside.(Note: the newspaper I have was printed in the late 1970's, which means the format is much larger than those of newspapers today. My newspaper does fit, very snugly - so it should easily fit the newspaper formats of today. If that's the specific use you're looking for in a box, of course.)It's been barely a year since I've started using this box, so if Amazon.com is still around in 15 years or so, I'll report back as to the "archival" part of my review. :-) 5Smells like poop The first box was damaged and smelled of feces and I thought maybe I just got a dud, so I requested a replacement thinking I wouldn t have the same problem. I was wrong..... this box wasn t damaged but the smell of straight cow feces permeates the inside of these boxes. I can t even use these for anything...... nothing! Don t buy! 1it came with excellent quality and I wrote my birthday wishes with white ... I bought some book and magazine about comics and many dc marvel funko POP and a perfume for his birthday... I bought this box to put his gifts in that , it came with excellent quality and I wrote my birthday wishes with white pen on it . he hang the box top of his desk. 5Kids keepsake boxes I use these boxes to store keepsake stuff for my kiddos. I don t have time to keep up baby books or scrap books so I just shove it all in these boxes. Pictures with Santa, artwork from school, certificates from soccer, swimming, etc. They have an area for a label and the black boxes look organized and nice stacked in our closets. They ve held up nicely although they don t get handled much. 5Cheap cheap cheap quality This is clearly a plain box, and some poor sap was given the assignment to glue colored paper around it. It came with dents, and you can see where the paper was misaligned when finishing it off.This would be good to house kids markers maybe. But if you're looking for a professional looking box to store important keepsakes, move on. This isn't what you want. 1Odor of box intolerable I have owned this type of box before and never had a problem. But the awful odor of the inside of this box is inexcusable. I tried everything to eliminate it, from airing it out outdoors to even spraying with fabreze and nothing alleviated it. It even made my hands smell after touching the inside of the box. I'd return it but it would cost more in shipping than it's worth. I was forced to give it one star just because it arrived in one piece. Don't pay money for this brand. 1Perfect for Mementos I am not a scrapbooker, but I do save lots of pieces of paper: my kid's artwork, playbills, love letters and cards, so much stuff. You can be neat and organized and put that stuff into a scrapbook and then put the scrapbook in the box (which you should do to keep everything nice). OR you can be a slob like me and put the stuff right into the box.It's acid-free, and it stacks well. Beats an amazon box under the bed. Worth the money. 4Better price elsewhere This box is great. I recently organized years and years of photos into acid-free photo boxes (knew if I tried to do albums, I would never finish)! I ordered two of these boxes and they were perfect for what I needed. However I did some online searching before ordered more and found similar boxes (just a little smaller) at Hobby Lobby for much, much less money on their bi-weekly half price sale. 4Not a very high-quality storage box Cheap and not durable. I was expecting a high-quality item, but this is just cheap and I won't be able to archive large photos in it for very long. The purple plastic film was already tearing when I received the item. Had to return it. I feel like it's just a nice cardboard box that they made it into a purple color. It won't work for my intent. 2
