    Not quite 1/2 hole seems a bit smaller.Says 1/2 but it's not more like between 1/2-3/8 small. Wouldn't fit my recliner but I'm going to dremel the hole larger and make it fit cause I'm cheap I guess lol 2Comparing this handle to the original is like comparing a hang-glider to a Boeing 747Comparing this handle to the original is like comparing a hang-glider to a Boeing 747. This handle is all plastic junk, no metal insert to fit around the shaft. I have no idea what the 1/8th inch hole was supposed to be for, the original had a metal insert with a metal set screw. The 1/2 " square hole on the 1/2" square shaft had so much play I had to drill a hole completely through the shaft, and run a screw all the way through to even get it to work. Am I using it, yes; do I like it, no; will I replace it, ASAP. 50 miles from my home is a Lz A Boy store, I should have gone there, what I get for shopping on line. Should I have sent it back, probably. I'm guessing the favorable reviews I read before ordering were hired responders. Amazon should stop selling this product, unless it is improved. 1Recliner fixed!Fixed our recliner after son broke original handle. Husband did have to make some modifications it seems like but it's been working for around a year now. 5Good handle, needs set screw to arrive with itThe handle arrived quickly, well packaged and made of sturdy plastic. It had an untreaded set screw hole for which you can get a metric or other screw and push firmly with a hex wrench or screwdriver to cause it to thread itself through the plastic. Once the handle was thus attached, it works very well. It would be better to have the set screw arrive with the handle to save a trip for one to the hardware store. The weak point in the handle is the location of the set screw where the crack occurs and the screw flies away. 4OkOk 4Recliner armGreat arm for the price. Only drawback it is much larger the original arm on my recliner and loveseat. 5Two StarsDid not work with our LAzy-Boy recliner. Would not purchase this again. 2Nice looking but may break again.Looks just like the old one. Just hope it doesn`t break into like the old one. The handle broke into and the screw broke inside the screw hole.Wish they made them wood or metal. 3Very low quality. Don't think you will receive anything even close to the original handle!The product description says there is no hardware or screws included. I thought, no problem. I'll just use the existing set screw off the broken handle. Nope. No go. There is a hole for a set screw but it isn't threaded to accept a screw of any kind. I returned the handle and as usual, Amazon was a pleasure to work with on returns. 1Highly recommend!Never imagined we would have to replace the handle on our recliner, so glad we found this. Very sturdy, works great & looks good on the chair 5
