Really great product! It does take a little bit to ...Really great product! It does take a little bit to get the film apart from the backing but it works terrifically if you follow the directions. Could be done with one person in a small area but I think 2 are necessary for a larger project. My husband and I put it up on our front door glass area and on the side lights. It gives us the privacy we desire but does not block out the light. You cannot see out and "they" cannot see in!If they made it with tabs to pull apart the film/backing, we would have really appreciated it. It's the only possible improvement I can think of, otherwise...fantastic! 5Easy to put upI took down some awful window coverings from my garage window and replaced them with this stuff. It was easy to install - I used a large thin plastic cutting board to flatten it onto the windows. I can't comment on the durability because they've only been up a few days. If they fall down, etc, I'll edit my review. 5Fantastic product for letting light in but giving you privacyI live in an apartment on the top floor and my room is very visible from the lower floors and courtyard. Since I like to get as much natural light in, I tend to pull up my blinds a little bit. I installed this item on the bottom portion of my window. This product is fantastic for letting light in but still giving me some privacy. Doesn't leave any residue and just "clings" onto the window without adhesive, so this is extremely easy to take off. Installing was easy; spray some water (or eye glass cleaner) and just squeegee the film across the window to remove any air pockets. 5Uggh!For me, this was far too complicated. When window film comes with instructions it s way too much for me. I was looking for something simple peel and stick. This is not it. Don t know about adhesion or whether it was easy to remove because I couldn t get the backing off it! After 15 minutes of struggling with this I finally threw it all out . Ended up buying contact paper. Worked just fine. Without instructions. 1SUPER easy to use and very effectiveGreat to install. Be sure to follow the recommendations. Installed in less than a half hour. We installed it on our bathroom window. I took a picture of it from the inside during the day and a picture from the outside of my wife standing up against the window at night. The night picture really gives you an idea of how effective the film is for privacy. The bubbles were unbelievably easy to get out and the film is VERY forgiving once you get it on the window. You can slide it around as needed to get it centered on the window before you scrape the bubbles and trim it. 5This brand seems especially good.This is the second batch of this type of thing I've used, and the first time I've used this brand. These are quite good, something about them was a little easier to put up than the previous brand I used.I find that it works best to put the film up with some slack, and then cut the slack off, rather than trying to measure to an exact size. As long as you take care when putting them up, make sure they're wetted with windex or something like it, and push all the bubbles out with a spatula or straightedge, they'll stay up just fine and look good, too.Privacy factor is great on this pattern, as well. 5Read Tips Before Applying!This product can be amazing if you are patient and follow these tips:1) Read the directions for how to apply BEFORE applying it.2) Don't give up trying to peel the back off the film. It took us 8 minutes until we figured out the trick.3) Buy the larger size- worth it if you're doing multiple windows.4) Apply liberal amount of soapy water and a credit card is very useful for getting out bubbles.I used it on a window in my shower. Product is definitely waterproof and private as advertised, while still letting in light. Overall, very satisfied. 5Very effectiveLooks great, hard to separate from the film and to cut, I m not sure how they expect you to cut it when you can t see through it. But other than that went on easy, very reflective from outside, dim on inside and most importantly it keeps the room way cooler! 5Great inexpensive productI tried this product on 2 bathroom windows for privacy. I was a bit skeptical going in given the relatively low price. I was pleasantly surprised. The frosted film was very easy to install and has held up well in a moist environment. One of the windows treated is actually on a wall within a tub/shower enclosure. The material has stayed put and shows no sign of coming loose. Also very attractive. A couple of suggestions to make installation as easy as possible (it is not difficult in any event). Rather than using a bulky razor knife, get a slender Exacto type knife from an art supply store. These knives come with a blade that is divided into sections. As one section gets dull you can break it off and use the next sharp section. Cut the material initially with scissors so that it is slightly too big, and fine trim with the knife. Use a straight edge to keep your cut lines straight. You really don't need the special spray solution some manufacturers advertise- plain water will do just fine. You will need a spray bottle. I used an empty bottle that a household spray cleaner came in (washed out first). Spray the water liberally on the window, and, yes, the film will stick to the window. Best to use a plastic edger to squeegee the water from behind the film after it's mounted and cut to exact size. I used a wide metal joint compound knife- it works fine but there is a higher risk of tearing the film if you are not real careful. This product is worth a try. If you make a mistake, you can peel off the film and try again with a new piece. It comes off easily (no glue) if you decide to remove it and leaves no residue. 5Perfect window privacyI've used this on the bottom of all my windows. I live very close to neighbors. I like that this is put up with water, is re-positional and can be easily removed 5
