    Defective?This handle broke after less than a month of use. Possibly defective??? I would like to give a second handle a tru before writing a bad review 5This was the perfect replacement part for a leather sofa dual recliner that ...This was the perfect replacement part for a leather sofa dual recliner that we bought from Bassett furniture years ago. They told us the couch was not sold anymore and therefore no parts. My husband replaced this himself, but FYI, be sure to pay attention to how the old one came out. 5Basically identical and good quality partOriginal handle lasted 15 years with daily use of several times typical. I ordered the one without the cable and it came fast even though Amazon is high on shipping costs and tries to suck you in on their "Prime" deal which would end up costing me more in the long run I'm sure. Cable is fairly easy to re-use and the old one showed no sign of wear. The only difference I saw was the hole that holds the cable end on the handle is much larger. I was worried that it could slip out, but so far it works great. I would have purchased this part on Ebay because the cost was much lower, but my login was not working on Ebay and I had an Amazon gift card that I needed to use up. Overall I'm basically 100% satisfied. For a 15 year old part, it matches 95% and the other 5% doesn't appear to affect the operation. If you have an old couch, you may want to consider purchasing one with the cable already on it, but that could pose other problems, so I guess just be aware of the length and the way the cable connects. This is and easy DIY job. A screwdriver and some pliers was all I needed. 5Happy husband We purchased our catnapper sectional about 2 yrs ago and the handle broke on one end where it's used the most. I purchased this and we put it on just a few minutes ago and it was the exact one we needed. Happy husband 5Fits and worked. The only issue I had was ...Fits and worked. The only issue I had was the metal clip that comes with it to hold he cable on was too short. Luckily I kept the old one that worked. 5easy fixexact replacement part. Easy to install.I thought this was going to be a big deal when I broke the handle on my sofa recliner but I found the parts to be readily available, easy to install, and affordable. If the cable is damaged you will want to order the entire unit w/cable. (check that the cable did not kink and cause excessive force to be used in operating the handle) 5Very pleasedI was a little nervous buying the 1st one that came up, but my fears quickly went away when it arrived. I was a wharehouse manager about 15 yrs ago for a furniture co. Our repl parts didn't come this fast from the manufacturer! Different times I know, but still very pleased with entire process start to finish. Handle was an exact match and was installed in 5 min. Recliner is up and running. If this looks like your handle, trust me it is. 5Handle will break again.While these are relatively inexpensive, I have to replace it about every 6 months once it breaks again in the same place every time. If the handle was made of aluminum or steel it would be a better product IMO. 3Saved the recliner...I thought I was going to have to trash the recliner, but this product saved it from the curb. 5Excellent replacement partThis was an inexpensive, easy to install part that did a wonderful job of repairing my recliner.My only recommendation is that you read the product description and get the right one.
