    Easy inexpensive rocker recliner repairAn easy to use inexpensive repair for rocking recliners. I have used these to fix several recliners saving me a bunch of money. So easy to install 5Works Well.Used these to replace worn out broken springs on a recliner. 5recliner replacement springsBoth springs on my recliner broke. I replaced them with these. They work well on it. The bolts on the broken springs were on really tight and getting them off took the most work. I think there were 4 bolts (2 on top & 2 on bottom) on each spring. I used the same bolts I took off to attach the new springs. 5Excellent springsThese springs are the exact same ones that came on my catnapper recliner very easy to install the larger holes went on the top mount and the smaller holes went on the bottom mount very easy now my recliner works like new thanks amazon. super fast shipping is always a bonus.. 5One side self-tapping flange, the other side just a hole.1st off, I did get the springs to work. But not without some modification.If you look at the pictures I posted..... One side has a FLANGE, the other DOSEN'THow these springs seem to work is..... My recliner has SELF-TAPPING bolts.....SO..... on my OLD springs, the manufacturer uses springs that have FLANGES all the way around..... Then uses SELF-TAPPING bolts to thread down the springs to the frame.These NEW springs....... Has one side SELF-TAPPING, and the other side just a hole. I had to use a 1/4" carriage bolt to get these springs to work. As you see in my picture.... You will need something like a Carriage bolt as there is no room to get a wrench on it.All-in-All I did get these to work..... But the seller should have a better description.... and better pics would be most helpful.Hope this review helps someone. 2Perfect replacement partI didn't really realize just how wore out my 12 year old chair had become until I started to look for a new one. After several weeks of searching though I came to the conclusion that most new chairs are either flat out crap or some a-hole designer's "masterpiece" of design and about as comfortable as being kicked in the back by a donkey. Since the cushioning in my old chair is still decent and just the fabric and springs are worn I figured I would try these to breath new life in it and they work excellent. While not quite as stiff as mine were when new they do keep my feet on the ground when sitting down so I no longer am staring at the ceiling. The hole alignment was not a problem and replacing them only took about 15 minutes with a wrench and socket. The only real difference I noticed was that these had a few more coils and they expanded a bit more when bolting tight due to the difference in the metal stamping where the bolts go in. There was no issue with bolt length though, just be sure to insert all four bolts and start the nuts before tightening. I started all four then tightened the bottom ones first then alternated the top ones to draw it up evenly. She thought she finally was getting rid of it but now I can take some time to find another "man chair" to plop in the living room that will continue to drive her nuts cause it doesn't match anything. 5Didn't LastHad one break after 3 weeks... 1Fixed our rocking recliner chair perfectly. Before the recliner ...Fixed our rocking recliner chair perfectly. Before the recliner was permanently leaned backwards, but by buying this simple fix, the recliner works perfectly again. It took maybe 20 minutes to fix. 5New life for my recliner!Wasn't quite ready to plunk down another $500 for a new recliner so thanks to Recliner-Handles LLC for having the parts I needed to do some repairs. The rocker springs were as described and fit the recliner perfectly and they were shipped out and received in no time, all at a great price! Thanks! 5Springs have changedThis is my 4th set. All of my previous ones had self tapping holes for all 4 bolts. Now two on one side are self tapping and the other two are not. Have to get a washer and nut to tighten them down and get them to work. Unless you have a chair where the top side of the rocker foot threads differently into the chair, these will not work without providing your own hardware. 2
