    Perfect replacement!!We bought a reclining sofa from Rooms to Go a few years ago, and the handle broke when my husband tried to recline. We contacted the furniture store, and they were not helpful at all. I thought Amazon has everything else, so I thought they would have one. I was right! They had several to choose from. My husband measured it, and we bought this one. It fit perfectly! It only took my handy husband a few minutes to replace. It's as good as new! 5Wish I had found this years ago.I wish I knew years ago that you could buy this part, it never crossed my mind to look. This part on my LazyBoy broke in under a year. So I always had to leave the couch open.Replacing this was fairly easy. You disconnect the wire, unscrew 2 screws, and the old assembly comes out. This part wasn't exactly the same as the original. On the original the wire was retained on the bottom of the part, for this one it was retained at the top. My old part didn't have the retaining clip, so I wasn't sure exactly how that was supposed to go. I eventually bent it a little with pliers and used it to hold the wire to the plastic by hooking the legs over the plastic. I don't think it's going anywhere.The mechanism works better than the original, it requires much less pressure to open the couch. 5Buy the metal one these plastic ones break, that is why they sell them in sets of twoI have ordered two set's of these now they last about 3 months!! There is a reason they are selling them in sets of two.I ordered a metal version which had a travel issue at first. The metal version from another mfg'er did not have enough travel to activate my recliner a little clipping back the casting and it works fine. The metal one seems much more sturdy and robust than the plastic. The handle broke once on the plastic and the weak part seems to be where the cable sits, this area snaps off.I went to return a set I had ordered in the event the metal one did not work and discovered a $6.00 return postage fee?Not happy with this product at all, beware. If you go to order a metal set make sure it is a Prime vendor or it comes on a slow boat from China. 2Handle Only Lasted a YearI m giving two stars when I wish I could give five. The installation is nice and easy, however, this is my second purchase of this particular part. The first purchase was after we broke the pull during a move but my second purchase of this particular part was almost a year apart. We hardly use the couch, so the break was not from overuse. Disappointed the part did not last longer. 22 months and it brokeThis is my #2 review, my first one in March it fit great but it's only been 2 months as this is May 14 and the handlebroke. If they sell and medal handle out there I'll buy one. I did buy 2 in March that's a good thing so I'll use the other tell I can find a medal one. As I said above if any one sells the medal please let me no..If the handle was molded a little thicker at may be it would last. I'm ordering the $14.99 metal version from another manufacturer instead of getting burned again 2Saved Repair BillMy chair was a warranty period and a month old, meaning if I wanted it fixed, I had to call the repairman or do it myself. Doing my homework, I found it would cost a hundred dollars plus parts to have the repairman come out to my house, so I decided to try and fix it myself.The part arrived in two days, and 10 minutes later the chair was repaired. I'm not particularly handy, but by taking a picture of how the old one was hooked up, I was able to hook this one up very easily. 5it fit perfectly and worked just fine. I couldn't be more pleasedI was a bit skeptical about this part, but I was in a rush and had no choice. When it arrived, it looked the same as the broken original. I installed it in the recliner; it fit perfectly and worked just fine. I couldn't be more pleased. 5Broke in less than 2 monthsI bought this to replace a broken handle on my couch. I received it quickly and it installed as expected. It has worked well, but today the handle broke off. Obviously I expected it to last at least as long as the original (about 2 years), buy less than 2 months is a pretty quick failure rate. 1
