    Love my "Mixer Lift"!I love this!!! I have a galley style kitchen, and I do not have a lot of counter space. I don't use my mixer often, but it's much too heavy to store in a closet and bring out when I need it. This keeps my counter space uncluttered and my mixer easily available when I need it. I bought the lift that also has a soft close mechanism. With one click, it will automatically descend back into the cabinet. This is one of my new favorite additions to my recent kitchen remodel! 5Major Retrofit for Cabs with a Drawer.Instructions tell you not to install in a cabinet with a drawer. It's good advice, because of the number of modifications required. If the installation has a drawer, do not consider the lift unless you are opt to the challenge. Toss the installation instructions as this becomes entirely a retrofit installation. I had to clip about 1/2" off the stop arms of the lift to gain the clearance and make it fit. I had to readjust the installation several times in order to find enough clearance for it to fit inside the cabinet with about 1/8" clearance off the cabinet base with a hair of clearance space under the drawer and the mixer stops when the top bumps the bottom of the drawer box. It's in and the soft close works great, but not without an undying effort to "not let it beat me". Oh, make sure you use 3/4" side panel on the hinge side for sufficient clearance. Would have given that 5th * if that had been produced it with shorter arms for the stops. They could have. You need that extra 1/2" of clearance below a drawer or it won't work. 4Built to last several lifetimes.We bought this to replace a lighter weight Rev-a-Shelf appliance we d had installed about fifteen years ago because that one broke, spectacularly. I keep my food processor on it because I use that a lot, my stand mixer - not so much. This one is somewhat bigger and takes up more vertical space, so be sure you leave at least an inch more more clearance than they suggest.Also, their mounting dimensions are for a stand mixer, not a shorter appliance. They could give mounting suggestions that show you how to mount for the size of your appliance.The soft close mechanism works fairly well, but the whole mechanism is such a beast that I am afraid to just let it swing down on its own. That s how the old one broke, I lost my grip when putting the processor back into the cabinet and one side blew off all of its guides! This lift could accomodate a much heavier appliance easily, you just have to be sure you have the clearance. 5So convenient and makes using my mixer a breeze!I am in love with this shelf! It doesn't come with the actual shelf, just the hinges that attach to the cabinet and shelf, but it is so awesome and convenient to have this in a cabinet with my mixer! I have an outlet in the cabinet so all I have to do is pull out the shelf and am ready to go. I also like that it's a soft release so I just pull the handles and it slowly goes back into place! 5Great product!Works beautifully and it s 100% worth the soft close hinges. As you can see I installed this in a cabinet with a drawer on top without difficulty. I had to do a slight modification to one of the swing arms that took 10 minutes. Highly recommend 5LOVE..Every woman's dream who loves to bake and cook! Lifting my mixer is almost impossible for me but when we built our new little barn home, I made sure that space (cabinet devoted just for my baking needs).... this was a must! I even installed this unit so.... to every woman out there.... YOU CAN DO THIS!! Now all I have to do is open the door and just touch the handle that the mixer is mounted on and it gently lifts the mixer up to counter height, ready for you to use without moving anything else. Returning the unit to inside the cabinet couldn't be easier either. Just simply pull the release lever and the unit SOFT CLOSE gently lowers the mixer inside the cabinet. LOVE....LOVE....LOVE 5Spring for the soft close model. It's worth it.Not hard to install, and definitely an awesome product. My mother had one installed at her home a year or so ago and loves how easy it is on her back. When my wife became pregnant, I installed this in a kitchen island I made for her, so that she wouldn't have to strain to use her mixer (aka- could still cook for me). Everything works as it should and the soft close feature is wonderful. 5Be a hero.I can t say enough good things about this.I have become a minor legend because of this shelf. My wife and all our friends love this.If you are trying to decide about he soft close feature... get it, it s a no brained and TOTALLY worth the extra money.Made my own shelf with no problem.No complaints at all.Great product. 5Works great and is a real convenience.My wife loves her new mixer shelf and shows it to everyone! I had my cabinet maker install it when he was building the cabinets. It works great! Very easy to lift up and even easier to lower into the cabinet. We had a heavy Kitchenaid mixer. We had it on nstalled when it raises up it is counter height. We had to sacrifice the drawer above it. We had the cabinet built with a false drawer front so when closed it appears there is a drawer there. Ithe closing mechanism is adjusted so all you we have to do is pull the handles to release it and it gently lowers into place. There was enough room under it for a small pull out shelf to hold the mixer attachments. It isn t cheap but we found it worth it to easily keep the mixer in the cabinet and not have to struggle to get it out to use it. 5Seems to do the job well and I like the fact that I can just release the catchesJust installed Rev-A-Shelf Soft Close to a new kitchen. Seems to do the job well and I like the fact that I can just release the catches, step away and watch the soft close mechanism stow the mixer away, back into the cupboard. As our kitchen was extended and completely rebuilt we put the Rev-A-Shelf on an island and had a power socket installed in the cupboard to supply the mixer. If you are looking for a downside then be prepared to effectively lose a whole cupboard for storing the mixer. 5
