    Look at the measurements before buying.Good product, but a lesson was learned in this purchase. Being as this was my first furniture purchase I made the mistake of looking only at the picture. But be warned, the picture doesn't do justice to the real size of the product. The tower itself is actually about 3' x 1'. So after getting over the initial disappointment of realizing the tower was about half the size I thought it was, I decided to keep it. The one thing the picture does do justice to is the color of the cabinet.The cabinet itself was shipped in a 3' x 1/2' box. The box came with 8 pieces in it, detailed instructions, and a bag full of about 50 different nails, screws, & small rods. It was very easy to put together. It took me about 1/2 hour and like I said this is the first time I've put together any furniture. The instructions were very easy to follow. There were way too many nails in it. I only used about half of them. The rods that hold the shelves up have rubber ends on them to keep from scratching the shelves. I'm currently just using two shelves, holding about 7 books and 15 blu-rays/dvds and am only using about 1/3 of the space available. 4Not a bookcaseThe good: Good quality; Good looking; Easy assemblyThe bad: It's small! This is not supposed to be a problem if you have a habit of checking dimensions before buying any furniture online. However, the picture does give us an impression of a bookcase. IT'S NOT! The height is about 3 feet. It's more like a miniature bookcase.I did my research before buying two of this. They stand behind my sofa end table serve as surround sound speaker stands.--An example how they can be used. 4I was looking for something slim, to go into ...I was looking for something slim, to go into a very specific space I have and hold some of my dog's things. This was exactly what I expected. You need a hammer and a screw driver to assemble, but it didn't take more than twenty minutes, and that's just because I'm slow. The hardest part was hammering the back piece in. You put the out side edges together, then hammer on the board to the back, once you get it fitted the way you want (which was a little daunting alone, but with another person to hold it straight it would have been no biggie) this piece of furniture fits my needs precisely. 5A COMPLETE WASTE OF TIME AND MONEYWHEN I WENT TO CONNECT SIDE B TO BOTTOM E. THE PART BOTTOM E WOULD NOT HOLD IT. INSTEAD IT PULLED THETOP OF BOTTOM E APART, AND THEREFORE MADE THIS UNUSABLE. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING MADE BY SAUTER EVER AGAIN. I RECCOMEND YOU DO THE SAME AND DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. IT IS NOT WORTH TRYING TO RETURN AS THE SHIPPING COSTS WOULD BE HALF THE PURCHASE PRICE. SHAME ON YOU KEVIN SAUDER. PATHETIC TRANSACTION. 1for the love of GodA cute LITTLE bookshelf. Please, please, for the love of God, look at the measurements for this thing before you buy it. We sort of expected something a little more substantial and this is VERY VERY SMALL. Still, that's our fault, not theirs. And once it's together (assembly was very easy and straight-forward), it's an attractive, sturdy little piece of furniture. Can't complain about it at all. We actually bought another one after the first, so we can bookend our TV stand with them. 4Misleading measurements in the description!The description of this product is misleading. The actual inside dimensions of the bookshelf space are 11.25 wide x 5.25 deep! The measurements given are those of the base, which is deeper for balance. I found this to be very misleading! However, the case works great for the large number of smaller books we have. It would work very well for a collection of paperbacks.The quality is pretty much in line with the price, as is the fit and finish. You're getting what you pay for. 3Good but a fifth shelf would be niceArrived in tact, easy to put together. If you are using it for CDs you may want a different one because it could fit a 5th shelf to store more CDs. The company charges a lot for additional shelves. I bought some wood from Lowes to make additional shelves. 5Nice small "tower" and sturdy as well.While I wouldn't call it a storage "tower," unless you're only two feet tall, it is a very nice and sturdy piece of furniture. I needed it to fit a small space. It's just a fraction of an inch under three feet tall, so keep that in mind if you're looking for something larger and/or taller. Assembly was easy and all of the hardware was present; the pieces were in good shape as well - no scratches, nicks, etc. I'll probably get another one of these to fit another small area. My only quibble is the color. It's as close to black as it can be without actually being black. I wanted to add an additional shelf and I had several left over from a different kind of unit. Those are pure black. After I cut and installed the additional shelf, I can only tell it from the shelves that shipped with it if I look closely. So if you're looking for a definite brown color, this isn't it. Otherwise, it's great. 5Just what I needed.We are bibliophiles & borderline book hoarders who recently moved from a place with lots of built in bookcases to a new place without so much as a shelf. We were in a pinch & needed some storage on the cheap, this was perfect.When I first opened it my heart sank bc it seemed so small I wasn't sure it would hold anything.It was a breeze to put together - took maybe 25 minutes? - and it holds a LOT more than I had initially expected. Stable & secure for self-assembled particle board. Very happy with it. 4CoolGot this a while back and at first I was using it as a book shelf but then I decided to recently re-organize my room and to also save some space. And I love it, it s on top of a table I bought but this time I payed it flat so I can put some stuff on top of it. It s not meant to lay horizontal but once you add the books or whatever it is that you are using it for the dividers will hold in place. 5
