    An absolute necessary addition to any Shop Vac.An absolute necessary addition to any Shop Vac.For most people the standard filter in a Shop Vac may seem like enough. When I first started wood working, I would simply leave the dust accumulate and then sweep it up. My nose would fill up with fine particle dust and I would find myself coughing the next day. I was quick to realize that I need to start wearing a respirator while working, to keep the very fine particles of dust out of my lungs. I don't think many think about the effects of fine dust. If you are using your Shop Vac often, you need to realize that not all of the dirt gets trapped inside. A standard filter releases small particles that pass through the filter. Worse, those fine particles are being shot back up into the air for you to breath.This is part of a two piece system that we now always use in our Shop Vacs. The other is the HEPA rated filter. This grabs the large particle and keeps them in the bag. When it is time to empty, we throw away the whole thing. This keeps me from sucking down more dust when I am dumping out the vacuum canister. Just remember that you can't do this if you are using the Wet part of a Wet/Dry vac as you will ruin the bag. The other big advantage of the bag is it keeps larger particles from clogging our HEPA filter and causing a premature demise.FYI, they make collection bags and HEPA rated filters for most Shop Vacs. This (and the replacement HEPA filter) has allowed me to turn a very cheap Black Friday special into an industrial class cleaning machine.Some may think its cheaper to just use the stock filter and dump the canister; Have you checked on the price of a lung replacement lately. 5Holds my dirt wellI've never used the bags on my shop vac before. I've always just used the big round filter and the canister. My neighbor told me I was nuts and you have to use the bag! I think my neighbor doesn't need to worry about my shop vac but whatever. I bought these and installed it easily. So far, I'm very happy. It does what it says it's going to. I feel like its not going to hold as much as the canister will but since the canister is huge it's going to take me forever to fill the bag anyway. So 5 stars. 5Huge bags for large shop vac don't have a giant pricetagWe just got a new 12-gal shop vac on sale for $50, but my guy was lamenting when he saw it uses an optional inner vacuum cleaner bag of a similar capacity. As he muttered "Great, I bet these'll cost a fortune to replace," my stock-footage answer of "Wait, let me check out prices online first," paid off for the umpteenth time. I found these bags -- sold in packs of 3 for about $10. Thanks to the online availability of products like this (and the corresponding ability to beat off-the-shelf retail prices), I can ignore the pragmatic inner voice that typically preaches the practical: "Don't over-use an item that is costly to replace." Now I can happily exercise my preferred option to use a shop vac with an inner bag as much as I want, instead of saving it for those "special" vacuuming occasions. 5What you see is not what you get. I thought I was getting the pre-packaged Shop-Vac vacuum bags, but what I got was this. 1Bags themselves are fine and work as advertisedYou can buy this as 1 PACKage of 3 bags or as a "9 pack", but the 9 pack doesn't include 9 packages, only 3, so I only received THREE packages, not NINE. As a result, I actually paid MORE per bag by buying the "9 pack" than if I had just purchased a single "pack" of 3. Had the product been sold as advertised, I would have paid per bag just slightly under what I would have paid buying in bulk at my local big box store. Instead I paid TRIPLE.Bags themselves are fine and work as advertised. 1 star for such misleading advertising. 1Keep your filter clean!Particularly for fine dust, using a bag in your shop vac makes a lot of difference. Without the bag, I was constantly clogging the filter - which will burn out the motor over time and is a pain to clean out. I have a dust collector for my wood shop which gets the bulk of the chips and dust from the tools, so the shop vac doesn't fill up quickly. A bag lasts for months and is a good value over the time to clean out the filter or replace a burnt out motor. 5Shop Vac Filters keep the dust downI bought a new shop vac to replace my older unit which failed after many years of service. THe new one uses these filter bags and I can tell you they make a world of difference in terms of keeping the dust in check. Before I could turn on the vacuum and you could see the dust cloud forming if you had a light on or the sun was shining through. That is no longer the case and I really do like that. I ordered these replacements for when this bag is full, but haven't used any yet. They are the same as the one in the shop vac, so expect the same performance. 5Don't do it!!The product received is not as shown on Amazon. The listing clearly shows a retail package of 3 Shop Vac brand bags. What I received is 3 loose bags that are not Shop Vac brand and 1 of 3 is defective. The rubber seal that fits around the inlet is misaligned and so, the bag cannot be installed without removing the seal.Junk by a schlock retailer. I've made my feelings known to Amazon as well. These kinds of people need to be stopped. 1Works great on Shop Vac Professional!Excellent, fit well and seems same quality as yellow original bag. Fit my shop vac professional perfectly. Make sure to disconnect the hose before installing otherwise old bag cardboard piece will not slide out of bracket.*Have only just installed and used it for a few minutes. Will update if bag doesn t hold up well. 5great value for original replacement bagsI couldn't find these at the Lowes where I purchased my 12-gallon shop vac. All they had were the more expensive yellow bags - only two for almost $20. With this package, you get three for little over $10. I realize that the yellow bags (part number 9067200) are supposed to be more efficient or something, but I just wanted the regular "Type F" bags that came with my vacuum originally. They work fine for me, no problem with ripping like some complain of, and they work with drywall dust, concrete dust just like the others do. I'm glad Amazon had them and with Prime I got them quickly. 5
