    Great shore power systemBest shore power plug on the market. If your plugs are melting, hot or even warm, that means you have a bad electrical connection. Change them out before you have a fire. 5Missing screwsDid not come with the 2 cable clamp screws so I'll have to go hunt for them at hardware stores. Since they are supposed to be included atleast the instructions say the size. With watching install videos the install went good. Note nothing tells you the hole size for the inlet but a 2.5" hole saw will work great. 3Five StarsShould be standard equipment on RVs and Boats Great product! 5Great idea makes it easier to hook up to shore power.I bought this as a replacement because I stupidly drove off without unplugging the last one. It is so much more convenient than the other stock 30A plug that has an L shape lug that you have to wiggle around until it seats. My plug was in a difficult place and it was hard to make the connection. This item just fits only one way and has easy to use locking tabs on the sides. Easy to install. Works great! 5Good productThis replaced the difficult to use setup on my class B motorhome. Installation went well good product, installation on camper was easy, on cord required more effort. 5A substantial and significant upgrade from the 'usual' RV 30-amp connector.This product is remarkably high quality. It is easy to install and provides weatherproof, super-secure connection between power source and RV. This should be the industry standard on every RV... most certainly on the 'better' brands (Airstream, etc.). 5It would have been nice to see that task included in their instruction setAs a new owner of an older yacht it was a bit unnerving when our shore plug completely melted on the receiving connector. Knew it was an issue of high contact resistance since we did not trip 30 amp shore breaker, but the fact that the boat had no real protection at point of failure was disconcerting. This plug not only provides piece of mind but the kit accommodated my working shore line. Took less than an hour including adapting the hole to fit the larger shape size for the receptacle. It would have been nice to see that task included in their instruction set.One other item was the brittleness of the strain relief failed very easy and was therefore not installed and the have to be careful to not over tighten head screws for the female plug. Otherwise a very quality product that is not evident of not cheaply manufactured. 5Installation DifficultiesI like many others had a failure on one of my Hubble type shore power connectors. I have two 30A inlets mounted side by side on my boat. Thinking I would just replace with these supposedly better outlets I plopped down my $400 hard earned dollars. The 45 minute job took over 6 hours since not only the width of the hole dimensions were wider but the depth and the width of the outside plate were deeper and wider respectively. This meant that the mounting holes had to be widened and deepened AND the separation between them increased. So be awareIn addition the seal on the cable side prevents the connector from easily seating. i.e. no push and click as in the ads. Instead it's push hard and manipulate until both side latches latch and the cover can be lowered and locked. I'm sure that with continued insertions and removals the seal will wear and the fit will relax some but definitely not what I expected. 1I like the smartplug locking featureI like the smartplug locking feature. I've looked at my shore power cords and both have over heating marks. This purchase is for power supply for my 1977 airstream land yacht. The stainless steel mount is perfect for the trailer. I wish I could of used my Canadian prime membership for this purchase dan 4Quick connect and disconnect and no more cross threading.Due to soreness in my hands I decided to change out the 30 amp receptacle for shore power. The old plug required me to thread the outside collar onto the receptacle. I found it painful. Now this new receptacle works with a quick insert in and pull out. Once installed it locks into place. It is simplicity at its best. Having changed the original receptacle I did need to update my power cords but that was fairly simple. This is a worth while upgrade and I would highly recommend it. 5
