Deceptive... in a Very Good WayI have to thank R.L.B. for their review. I literally stopped and bought the product. I m so very grateful that I read that review. I LOVE THIS SHOWER-HEAD. I can t explain it it s got a soft stream, but has tons of pressure. (The Speakman video explains why.) My body poof runs clear of lather in under 5 seconds, water doesn t bounce all over, it doesn t tug on your eyelids & beat up your eyes, it s gentle but still feels like you re getting a full stream... I seriously can t say enough about this device. There is no massage function, but I don t care.As far as expert setup, I barely needed my wrench. It comes with its own tape, and I was able to tighten it almost all the way by hand, and it hasn t leaked one drop. Not one.Conservation: I know my showers are shorter on the days when I wash my hair and I have a whole lot of super-fine, blonde, naturally curly hair. My entire shower takes five minutes when I don t wash the hair, 15 (max) when I do.My city uses ground water, so I will check in about 6-8 months to give an update on water usage and if the calcium buildup gives it issues.5A great product with a little caveat...I really like this shower head. It really dramatically increases pressure without adding that "pumped-in air" feeling that I dislike on hotel-style showers. So it does work VERY well and I am quite pleased with that.So why 4 stars?Two reasons...First, the head doesn't swivel at all. Perhaps this is more on me than on the product itself, but the angle of this head combined with the great pressure may result in the water hitting the opposite end of the shower which in turn can lead to a daily mess.Second, the screw part of the connector lies about a half inch (maybe 1/3?) into the connector itself... This makes connecting this shower head to an inline filter virtually impossible.Still highly recommended, but do keep the above in mind if they apply to you.4Clean looking, stylish, low-flow shower headThis is a really neat, simple low-flow shower head that is also stylish. It appears to be high quality, and delivers a smooth and gentle spray. It only has a single setting (not adjustable), but the head pivots smoothly up and down, and side to side.5STOP AND BUY THIS NOW!!! REALLY!OMG! I LOVE THIS SHOWER HEAD!! I've spent so much money looking for ways to boost our water pressure. We're on a well. We have a pressure tank. Still, we have poor water pressure especially noticeable in the shower. I've bought so many shower heads I finally gave up hope of ever getting more pressure. I'M SO GLAD I DECIDED TO TRY THIS ONE!! I literally rinsed the shampoo from my hair in half the time it normally takes me. Same for the conditioner! I was absolutely astonished. I couldn't wait to write this review! My husband, who has always complained about the lack of pressure, WAS HAPPY! I'll never have a different shower head. I hope that it withstands cleaning lime off without a problem, or doesn't have a problem with lime. Time will tell. Best I can recall ever using. I've almost wish I'd gotten the 2.0 gpm version because it delivers more than I need to enjoy my shower (much to my surprise since that's not true for any other 2 gpm head I've tried). The spray pattern is broad enough to cover you well and keep you warm on cold days, but still forceful enough to cut through my wife's thick hair.I read about it in Consumer Reports and am so glad I gave it a try!5Great affordable fix for water pressure issues. Easy to intall Just moved into a new apartment and hated the basic moen shower head that came installed. I didnt want to spend a ton of money on a new one but couldnr take the lack of water pressure. So bought this for a reasonable 26 bucks and I ans super impressed with the increase in water pressure. Went from scale of 5 to 10! Style is not terrible but like i said its a rental not a remodel. Highly recommend for someone in a similar situation. Also easy install ans they provide a good amount of plumbers tape which was nice.5I love this showerheadI love this showerhead. The 2.5GPM model feels like the showerheads of the past when you could feel the full force of the water hitting your body. No need to 'move around' to get wet; there's no empty 'hole in the middle' where there's no water jets, and no 'single small jet of water' from the middle. It's a wide, full, balanced stream of water from the whole face of the shower head. It's a simple full shower head; no adjustments other than being able to swivel it to adjust the direction it's pointing. I can actually turn down the water flow since it actually feels like I'm getting lots of water on me. It's not like all of the recent shower heads I've tried where the stream is weak, or tiny wimpy streams of water coming out. This shower head is the best one out there.5Speakman vs. Glacier Bay 1.75 gpm shower heads comparison..I purchased the 1.75 gal showerhead expecting it to possibly feel like a 2.5 gpm or close enough, I also purchased a 1.75 gallon glacier Bay head from home Depot over the Black Friday weekend to compare the two and see which was the better shower head. I'm on city water with very good pressure however I'm trying to lower my water consumption. The differences between the two are very substantial. First the speakman wins in the looks category also the amount of noise produced by the shower head is by far close to none, if someone else was say at the bathroom door calling you, you could easily hear what they're saying while in the shower. But that's where it's strengths stops. Even 1.75 with my faucets turned at Max the water flow still only felt like 1.5 gpm or less and was weak in it's stream similar from an older water conservation shower head I once used. It does take quite some time to rinse yourself from a real good lather.The glacier Bay which I bought from home Depot (you can find that model if you check for home depot's 2019 Black Friday flyer,) was a combo shower and wand however I'm only comparing the shower heads. The glacier Bay model is very noisy there is a constant " Cha,Cha ,Cha " sound as the water is flowing through the shower head, you definitely cannot hear somebody on the opposite side of a door if you're in the shower. However it's flow rate @ 1. 75 gpm is magnificent. Glacier Bays shower head easily feels like a 2.5 GPM shower head, covers much more body area, and gives a much better feel of water hitting your body. Those individuals with long hair will be able to rinse out much quicker than with the speakman.Both shower heads do have there pros and cons however I highly prefer the glacier Bay model.I can put up with the Cha Cha noise, knowing I'm still saving water and getting a much better stream and force of water.2You can even go with 1.75GPM with this and still pro..ly not notice you use less water The thing is a bit futuristic lookin, and looks all right al though it might have possibly suffered from plastic not fantastic look. But it does look normal, and the rotor inside is cool and the whole thing is not noisy and not weird. I'd get 1.75 version if I knew won't be able to tell 2.0GMP gives full impression of 2.5GPM and gets you out from a soapy situation just as a normal shower would. No soapy situations with this unit, bro (or sis :) ! The look of the thing is already growing on me... I'd pick gray unless you are flamboyant n always lookin' for exotics 52.0 gallon just as great as the 2.5!This was highly rated on Consumer Reports, and they rated the 2.5 gal/min over the 2 gallon. So the 2.5 was back ordered. I ordered one of each for two bathrooms. I have to say the 2 gal/min is just as good as the 2.5 Water is expensive out west so save yourself some money. Plus the 2 gal is cheaper to purchase. Its a great shower head. Plenty of water for washing thick hair. I love the design and the feel of the spray from this shower head. It is a well constructed product. It even comes with plumbers tape for installation. I am recommending this to my family and friends.5Speakman S-4001-E2 Reaction 1-Spray Raincan 2.0I love the showerhead, which was profiled in Consumer Reports. I bought it on their recommendation. It pumps out the water really nicely, soft spray. No adjustments like other heads. Came with some white tape to put around the pipe and screwed tightly and no leakage around the connection. I really appreciated the white tape that they sent with the showehead. I have bought other showerheads from Bed Bath & Beyond, JC Penny, Target and this is one of the best I have bought in a long time. This just give continual soft spray enough to make you not want to leave the shower. It has plenty of power and I can wash my hair in less time than with my other expensive showerhead I was using. This was a good buy and I hope my guests that are coming will appreciate it too.5
