    Very pleased with the extra roomI am now looking forward to my next shower in the camper. Installation went smoothly. It clearly improves the usable shower space. See the pics I posted. 5Easy, simple small shower solutionIf you want a really great way to increase your shower stall space and also want to remove heavy glass doors that add dead weight to a RV, then this is the trick. It is a very simple, easy design. Simply expand inwards for travel or outwards to shower.Her are some installation tips:1. Make sure you measure the "expanded out" distance from the top rod to the bottom of the shower pan. Make sure the distance between the two fits the shower curtain you select (i.e. 72" tall).2. If you have to shorten the center rod due to a narrower shower stall, there are instructions to do so. However, if you use a tubing cutter (like in the directions), you will need a pipe reamer or similar to piece the rods back together again. The tubing cutter will "crimp" the cut rod inwards, narrowing the inner pipe diameter. This "crimp" will have to be expanded for the pieces to fit again. I couldn't find my pipe reamer from years ago, so I took a 1/2" drill bit and reamed with that, apply pressure outward in a circular motion. The metal isn't too thick and it worked like a champ. 5Excellent quality. Highly recommendOutstanding product. Excellent quality. Highly recommend. Installed this in my camper. Really adds a ton of room both inside the shower and the bathroom. 5Saving the Lives of Family MembersWe're living in our travel trailer until our new (retirement) home is built. As a vacation home, the trailer can't be beat, but long term? Not the easiest thing; mainly because it doesn't take long for "family togetherness" to become "soul smothering lack of privacy).I find that in a travel trailer, the only real escape is the bathroom... preferably to shower and relax a little--because snapping and murdering your family is frowned upon in all 50 states.When you are trying to de-stress so you don't choke the life out of your very loved (exceptionally annoying) family members, having a shower curtain stick to you isn't helpful. I find that escaping close quarters into even more close quarters doesn't do much in the way of relaxing a person.Enter this nifty little doo-dad. Easy to install, easy to operate... and best of all, makes showering a pleasant activity. Alone. With no one in your space... Showering WITHOUT something clinging to you. Then when you're clean, you can go back into the main area and love your family again... 5Very happyGreat product but black is actually white. Depending on size of motorhome you do have to be able to take off (cut bar) to fit. My dad watched a YouTube video and it was super easy. Ours was 5in off I told him to not do a full 5in just in case, but it pretty much took the whole 5in to fit right. So be prepared to do some cutting and adjusting for this product. Took my dad maybe an hour or two at most. He had already watched video day before. We don't feel like you could hang much on it, but would be good for drying swim or a couple washed clothes 5So now he claims it's the greatest thing since sliced bread and he's so happy that ...Husband was skeptical and complained/grumbled a little at first because he had a problem getting the measurements cut on the bars. Our shower was smaller than the out-of-the-box set up, but directions added that you could modify the size. He just kept cutting, measuring, etc., until he finally got it right and installed it in our 5th wheel. So now he claims it's the greatest thing since sliced bread and he's so happy that I ordered it! It really does give the allusion that your shower is larger and you have more elbow room. I am going to put velcro on the shower curtain and inside shower wall to keep the sides from letting water escape (not a fault of the shower rod). It's a little pricey, I guess, but I would order it again. 5Works very well in our trailerWe used this to replace the track on the bathroom ceiling that held the shower curtain. What is really nice about this product is that when the shower is not in use, we "fold in" the rack so that it stays completely over the shower tub. In that position, it is sturdy enough to hang wet coats or other wet items to dry. This gives us another use for our tub, and I love when a product gives me new uses for existing space! Once extended, it really gives a LOT more room inside the shower. My shoulders used to touch the curtain before, no more!Installation was easy, but you want to make sure that:1) select the locations where you drill the holes carefully so that you have a sturdy anchoring point.2) install the bar level - it is really not meant to have one side higher than the other!3) Make sure that you have enough "overlap" of the shower curtain into the tub even when the bar is extended.4) Install the bar high enough so you don't hit your head when getting in & out of the shower! 5Amazing product. Well worth the money.The entire thing is made of pretty heavy gauge steel, including the mounts. Would diffidently hold a full size curtain, wet towels, ect. My shower is 40" wide and this shower rod gives me an extra 8" of elbow room, which makes a huge difference in such a tiny shower. The mounting screws are pretty long. I was afraid they would go all the way through my exterior wall but just did fit. The only thing is that my curtain hooks hang up when opening or closing the curtain. They are small metal hooks, I'm going to get some larger plastic rings and see if they work better.UPDATE: I got some of the big plastic shower curtain rings and replaced my small metal ones. Curtain still hangs a little, but not near as bad. Still love it. 5Great inprovemnet to my camper.This is one great upgrade for my camper. The OEM accordion shower door was ugly and hard to use. The Extend-A-Shower is just what the doctor ordered, not only gives more room but allows for the curtain to dry out of the way in the tub. My tub length is 40" and I was wonder how much extension I would get. Well Its perfect for that space creating about 6" of much needed extra room. I was looking at stand curved curtain rods but this beats them hands down. Also it is very sturdy and well made. 5AHHH freedom from the closet shower from hellI am so thankful I found this product. I have a TINY little bathroom, and a closet of a shower. I detest shower doors. The one I had would POUR water on the floor, and I couldn't STAND to clean it. I ripped it out, and replaced it with this. My husband swore he would never shower in our shower again because he hated how shower curtains would billow in and stick to him. We found out quickly if you installed this rod correctly and just put the insides of the curtain against the shower wall that doesn't happen. Now I don't feel trapped in my closet of a shower and can clean it without a gas mask. I can actually enjoy taking a shower without worries of obtaining a serious injury from contorting my body to move around. After you take your shower you can push it back which gives you more room to move around and makes the bathroom appear bigger. I almost didn't buy my house because of this bathroom. I couldn't afford a remodel, and I don't feel any need to rush now that we found this product. I've used it for awhile now, and i am very pleased. 5
