    GLUE TOGETHER YOUR OWN DRAWERSI usually don't review but this product was arguably the worst purchase I've ever made on Amazon. It came broken. Half the pieces were missing. The packaging practically exposed in my apartment because it was so junky. Amazon sent a replacement and it finally had the right pieces. The drawers are held together by glue. Yes. You're expected to glue the seams of the drawers together. I've bought tons of furniture to put together and this is sincerely the worst one I've ever bought. DO NOT BUY 1disasterI will never buy furniture online again. We bought the 8 drawer and the 5 drawer vertical chest for my daughters' room. With two girls, we needed a lot of storage space. Once put together (we hired someone to do that, so it would be done correctly), they looked great and fit our purpose. We just changed out the hardware for pretty pink pulls. Within 6 months, two of the drawer runners completely broke and are not fixable! Within another month, the fourth drawer on the 5 drawer chest just fell apart as I pulled it out to put in some socks! EXTREMELY disappointed! Do not purchase these items if you want something that will last!!!! 1Solid.I searched for weeks for something that wasn't crazy expensive but sturdy. This one's it.Pluses:- Deep drawers- Good size for holding pretty much everything- Drawer tracks are smooth (they're metal)- Classy lookingThe bottoms of the drawers in the last dresser I had ended up warping, so that my clothes would get lodged in the back corner; but nothing was around that size and capacity that was less than $500, so I was almost about to surrender and buy another of the same. I'm glad I found this one first. As I said, it's solid. I'll be taking it with me to my next apartment.Yes, it takes a while to build. No, it is not difficult to figure out. I did it by myself in my tiny studio apartment with a hammer and a screw. Anyone who complains about it should be buying ready-made furniture anyway -- they must not be the DIY type to begin with.Deltas:At first it came with a broken piece, but Tvilum FedExed me a new one within 2 days. Easy.**NOTE: Call Tvilum, not Amazon, to fix. The broken piece was in the first box I opened, and I called Amazon immediately to find out if I would have to ship the whole thing back (and would therefore not open the rest). The woman said "sure, go ahead and open the others," and then after I did so, she told me I'd have to box ALL of it back up again. That's when I called Tvilum; their customer service was MUCH better, and they shipped just the one piece that was broken, not the whole shebang. 5Excellent pieceThis review covers the Tvilum Sonoma desk. The product is made in Denmark. It is sturdy and well-designed, the slots and holes are all uniform, and it looks quite stylish in a room. The drawers are ample, as is the desktop. It takes awhile to assemble. Some of the pieces weren't labeled, so you have to determine which pieces to use based on the picture sizes and number of holes. The labeling of the hardware could have been easier--instead of a one-digit number, they used a five-digit number to distinguish them from each other. But all the measurements were uniform, and when assembled, it is a beautiful piece of furniture. A very welcome edition to my home office. 5Sturdy cubie!Great cubie! Very sturdy! We use this in our baby room for books, photos, and toys. We even can fit the baskets to hide any clutter. 5Pretty goodIt had some damage, and it s took 3 hours to assemble!! But I like the end product. 4Don't waste your moneyI paid a little under $300 for this chest. For the money, it's fine. It's very pretty, and the drawers hold a lot of clothes. The drawers also glide in and out very easily. I had a friend put it together because I don't have patience for this sort of thing. I think it took him around 3 hours. It was packed very well, and luckily, I had no problem with missing pieces or broken parts.*UPDATE*....after a few months, the drawers could not handle the weight of the clothes, and all the drawers started to sag. It's an attractive piece...probably short term. You get what you pay for. I STRONGLY suggest if you buy any of these pieces to GLUE all around the bottom of the drawers before putting your clothes inside. I had to take out all the clothes, take the drawers off the runners, glue, wait, and repack. Fingers crossed the drawers won't sag again. *UPDATE*....the draws held up, but the side panels started to break apart...needless to say, I THREW it OUT!!!...waste of money! I decided to go on Craigs list, and bought a beautiful mahogany solid real wood dresser for $75. I sanded, primed, painted it white, put on new knobs, and with not much effort, now have a gorgeous piece of furniture! Wish I would have thought of doing this before..... 1Tedious & FrustratingSo, the "some assembly required" should read "COMPLETE assembly required". It took me nearly 7 hours to assemble this dresser and the only instructions were pictures...NO WORDS! Highly frustrating and tedious! It even came with it's own wood glue! Unless you have all kinds of patience and are in love with figuring out puzzles, move on to another dresser! There were literally over 100 pieces that came in 3 different boxes in order to completely assemble this product. 2Nice looking deskNice looking desk, not very good quality and hard to assemble though. This desk took many hours to assemble, and lots of frustration. The wood kept splitting when we worked with it, and one of the pieces didn't have holes in the right place which we then had to re-drill. The desk ended up looking great, but I wouldn't recommend using this desk with heavy duty work. 3Unsure about this one...The product did arrive way before expected date. There were a few issues with the product. First, none of the pieces were labeled. It did come with stickers for you to label the pieces yourself. Secondly, the directions were very short, no instructions really, a few pictures of what your supposed to do. Third, the handles on the drawers are really really cheap, i can see them breaking quickly. Lastly, a few of the pieces were damaged. I have attached a picture of one of the pieces, showing the damage.Im not really sure how I feel about this piece, will just have to see how it holds up. 2
